I was using Amazon.com to track a package, and knew that it would be arriving on 8/28/2019. I work from home, and while I was helping my Handicapped Mother upstairs I saw the Letter carrier with the mail for the Apartment Building. I saw that he had a package clearly marked as from Amazon, and requested if I could get my package for Apartment #2. He stated he could not since he did not know who I was. Okay well My Name is Michael (Last Name). He said well that doesn't mean anything. So I asked "Couldn't you check my Identification?" He said no! So literally the only way a letter carrier can deliver mail or parcels is through your Mailbox? No because they sometimes come to my door for parcels, and do not know who I am just because I answer the door. If I had provided all the information to prove that I am who I say I am why can't they release the package to me. It's really just crappy service from people that figure that they work for the Government so they don't have to have people skills. This is why UPS/FedEx have been able to take up so much of your business. Customer Service is part of the Job whether you like it or not!

I was in the post office yesterday (July 24th) and spoke with the post master. I'm not sure what her name was, but she had short blonde hair. She was extremely rude about the hold on my mail. I was told that my mail was being held at the post office because my dogs jumped the fence and about bit the mail carrier, but my dogs are in my house at the time the mail is delivered, because I have twins that are laying down for a nap at that time. I never received a note saying my mail was being held I just stopped receiving it.. I feel like this isn't right. I wouldn't of even known that my mail was being held unless I hadn't checked my tracking on a package I was supposed to receive. I was told unless my fence is fixed my mail will be held at the post office and if I don't pick it up within 30 days it will be returned to the sender. I understand wanting to keep the employees safe, but what floors me is my dogs aren't even outside at the time the mail is delivered. Also, now that my fence is "fixed" how am I able to get my mail again? Do I have to go back into the post office and deal with the rude post master that you have working in your office or how does this work?
