there seems to be a problem where my mailbox is located even though its been there since before I moved its location. My neighbor has blocked the carriers easment due to sod he has planted and put sticks blocking the area. He has put his mailbox next to a non- curbed road and not the width of the shoulder off the road where its supposed to be located . Now i've been told I've got to move my mailbox next to the road which would be in violation according to the postal service rules! I've got to this so the carrier dont have to leave his vehicle. Which brings me to another question. If the carrier isnt required to leave the vehicle how does mail theat dont fit in my mailbox wind up on my front stop? The mailboxes are set the full width of the shoulder on a non-curbed road so traffic doesnt hit the box. All other mailboxes are in compliance of this rule. Only my neighbors mailbox is in violation of this rule but the carrier left me a note and I also talked to one said I have to move my box cause my neighbor is blocking the the easement causing the carrier to leave his vehicle to deliver my mail. I dont understand its ok for him to walk 35 feet to put mail on my stoop but cant step 2 ft to put it in my mailbox! This is not my problem since I didnt create it! I shouldnt have to move my mailbox due to my neighbor! and I dont want it next to the road which is in violation and to get hit by a vehice! I would like someone other than a employee to talk to me about this issue. I've talked many carriers and they too have said that carriers are required to leave the vehicle. Obviously I've seen carriers put mail on my stoop so thats not a rule! Kerry L. Nipper 107 Lille Acres Dr. Palatka Fla.

1) website does not clarify a few steps on the “Click and Ship.” Which I have questions about and called the 800# which leads me to 2) the phone system is just as bad. I was on hold for not 25-30 minutes, but 40minutes. During this hold time, NO interruption reminder that someone will be right with me or my call will be answered in the order in which it was received. I am dissatisfied knowing my money was taken but not sure the labeling is correct. Therefore, I am in limbo about the handling of the packages I left.

Hi, I tried calling today, but no one answered. My friend is moving out of his rental and will be staying in Palatka. He was wondering how much it cost to rent a PO box.

I have to admit I always have good service at the Palatka post office, 32177. They're fast, efficient and friendly. Everyone seems to be satisfied to help you, and when it comes to me I always seem to need help. As for our mail person, she is nice to everyone who's gathered in the lobby to receive their mail even though they know she must put it in their box in order to get it

This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with we need a whole new staff my mail is constantly lost and delivered to different addresses I believe the staff is stealing packages or or selling them. I had one instance where I called the post office after my item showed delivered and then someone drove out here and delivered my package from the post office personally. Please investigate this post office.

Last weekend I spent an hour going to the Main Palatka Office, East Palatka and San Mateo Post Offices looking for customs forms to prepare to send boxes to troops. Only the San Mateo Post Office had any forms at all available to CUSTOMERS and they had run out of the ones for John Q Public. Today I want to send a package to Alaska on moderate push for time. Nothing is open beyond Noon on Saturday to entrance CUSTOMERS to use the Postal Service. The San Mateo office won't open until later on Monday and so time limits be deviled. The "Service" part of the title ought to be exorcised.

Why does our post man not come to our door when I need to sign for my medication? Then leaves me a card that said he did. This is not the first time, and probably will not be the last.😡

Palatka Post Office consistently NEVER knocks on my door with very important packages for which I am required to sign. My car out front, my dogs barking...unbelievable. This is obscene. Unacceptable. And downright life-threatening. I am not done wirh this. Not by a long shot.
