Why do most my packages when shows delivered to Davenport Fl always takes a week or so for me to get. I have another package that was delivered to you on 3/24 and should have been to me on the 25, but now show’s delayed. This is getting ridiculous. I am on Amazon prime and yet, when my package gets to Davenport it takes a week or more to get.

New mailbox. Three people have tried to get my meds out of the large box P2 of station 11. Can't get it out. Need my inhalers now. All the mail person does is leave the key in my regular box again. I have left a note saying could not open box. Need someone to bring the meds to me ASAP. Thanks,
After being away for awhile I discovered my mailbox key would not open my mailbox. Called the post office several times with no answer. Went to the post office and manager said the delivery person will lubricate lock with W-40. Went to mailbox later and found no evidence of W-40 application such as “slickness” on or around the lock. I heavily applied my W-40 and allowed time to set in and still lock is stuck. This all happened on a Friday. Here it is Monday morning and my several calls go unanswered. I must go to the post office again.
Visiting from Canada, and ordered item on line that was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday. Received notice that residence was vacant and package could not be delivered. Contact Davenport post office and explained the situatuation. Postal Employee I spoke with advised that the package may have already been returned to sender but that he would search for package at their location. He advised a short while later that he had located the package and that I could attend thier location with ID and retrieve same. He even asked if I needed directions. I have seen many negative posts about this USPS location but in my case, the employee I dealt with went above and beyond to help me. Thank you very much for your assistance Sir.

Davenport Fl 33897. the package key does not work. This morning 11/2/21 the package mailbox is open with the another key sticking out and the content is gone. The package key in my mailbox #12 is still there. Did the postman took the package intended for me.
Where is my package ? It says "The carrier attempted to deliver your item' and that it is held at the Post Office. No one answers the phone - no reason why the package couldn't have been left in the mailbox or delivered to my door. .... oh by the way, I was home all day so I am not sure what stopped the carrier from delivering. Not as if a signature was required anyway.
Please immediately have this resolved as this is getting out of hand. They are continuously leaving packages under the stairs and if it happens again the packages will be returned to the carrier.

We live at 8250 Civita Dr Unit 403 Davenport Fl. Our Package was left on the first floor of the building. The address was clearly printed to be delivered to 8250 Civita Dr Unit 403. This was a $ 400 dollar item. Please correct this incompetence on delivery.
Everything was fine until it hit this post office. Correct label, delivered to wrong box. Neighbor placed it in the holding area, and instead of the route driver putting it back into the CORRECT box, they returned it to sender. Not the 1st time this office has screwed up a simple delivery!

Worst post office ever!!! I went to use a credit card & was told it was denied. I've never been late on a payment of any kind in my life so I called the bank & was told that even though they mailed my recent bill on4/11/21 it was returned by the post office as an invalid address on 4/21/21. Since I watch all my bills I knew that it was due soon so was able to pay via phone, but why would the post office return it as I have lived at this same address for 23 years. I tried for 2 days to call the post office but no one answers the phone. I always get other peoples mail in my box. A neighbor just got another neighbor's mail 2 days ago. Several weeks ago I found 6 pieces of mail sitting on top of the mail box all wet as it was raining. Everyone that works at the Davenport office needs to be FIRED immediately & new personnel put in place or the place needs to be shut down.
3 boxes were delivered to my door by mistake. Tried 3 times to call Davenport, FL Post Office - all three times it rang 22 times then cut out. Tried 800 number - useless waste of time.

We were experiencing a lot of trouble getting our mail forwarded from Erie, PA for the six week time period that we were in FL. Amanda helped to expedite our mail. Also, when we were ready to leave Fl., and need some help with our mail, a Postal worker was trying to be proactive with us but he needed a little support. That's when Amanda stepped in and made sure that our mail would be stopped being delivered to our Fl. address and have it returned to the Erie office She is a true asset to your organization. Is this unofficial mail carrier actually holding our mail hostage? I noticed he did not stop to deliver my mail (I receive my mail notices on my USPS account) and when I drove up to him and ask why didn't he leave my mail; he stated rudely, that they do not have to exit their vehicles to deliver if mailbox is blocked. I get that, what I don't get is that the mailbox was completely NOT blocked (picture to be sent to USPS Claim Division). Now, after visiting the Davenport Post Office on South St., a manager called Kelly (as shown also on a previous review) wrote my info on a postal note?!? and provided his email to submit the picture to him? Luckily before I proceeded to do that, I found this page full of valuable reviews. As I also found, a legitimate way to actually file a claim. It is hardly to believe, all these reviews and no change? I would also need to add that this carrier delivers driving from the passenger side, nerveless to say, putting our and your community at risk.
I’m not happy with the way my or our mailman is doing his job he will purposely not deliver my mail if my car is parked on the street this guy forgets the ole saying neither rain snow or sleet will prevent us from delivering mail also his vehicle is not set up for driving on passenger side but he still drives that way putting the community at risk sad but I will open a case regardless !
Your carrier is the worse i've ever seen. I can't believe a small post office can screw up so much. I wish i could be under a different office than Davenport. The carrier has been working our mail for 3 hours now, and yes i live in a small community of 55+. And they need help from the government, I vote no until they stop working as clowns. Get carriers that know what there doing.......
i have a legal address with the postal service yet they continue to send mail in bulk to our camp ground. yet when you tell the carrier they tell you that is the way it is. if they cant deliver the mail to the reconized address on the mail they should not be doing it. when you call you will not get any one to answer the phone. packages should be delivered to the addrese not to some one else. this is a ongoing problem as i have lived at this address for over 15 yrs they will not alow me to put a mail box up because its more work for the carrier

I’ve been home helping the kids with their on line classes no package from the Davenport postal service Was delivered. So this means they delivered it to the wrong address again. About a year ago this happened also, back then I went to the office to get help finding his medication. While doing so I was told by a supervisor that they deliver a lot of mail throughout the day, and if they only lose or misplace a small amount then they are doing good! I disagree with his statement you should make sure your delivery men or weman do their jobs and not misplace any mail. Get it together Davenport post office my son needs that medication. He’s not focusing at all without it, and now I have to deal with the outcome.
Where is my package? they said they delivery on May 22, 2020 at the front porch ( that I don't have) at 12:45pm but that's not true, I even have cameras and be at home at that time that day and the mailman didn't came to ring the bell or walk to my front door, we have before a lady that I trust, she walk and ring the bell or leave a note to pickup the package at the post office, she never leave a package outside, but she get retired, I can't trust the mail anymore. I saw different persons doing this job, how it's that possible the mail is something really important not everyone can't do it, I even send a mail to my country in mothers day and they never received either. With this situation is impossible to trust the mail anymore. Does somebody do something about that pls.
I’ve had a card with a stamp in my mailbox for a week. Our carrier has still come to take it with my red flag up so don’t tell me it’s my fault. I’ve had multiple problems with my carrier in Davenport and when I went to the Davenport post office on south street the manager wrote my info down on a post it. I’ve just kept calling the location and no one is yet again answering. Why can’t you hire legit loyal employees instead of someone who buys a route and does whatever they please? Help me get my piece of mail picked up! It’s a god damn birthday card to a family member!
If anyone's car is within 5 feet of our mailbox we don't get mail. We are very careful not to park near the mailbox but can't control other people's cars. We go for days without mail because of this problem. I moved from an area where the mail person parked at the end of the block and walked to deliver to each house, not sure why it's so hard to deliver mail here. It's literally their only responsibility is to DELIVER mail.
So apparently our Mailman was on Vacation for a week, so whatever Polk County In-bred covered his shift, shoved our mail so tight in mailbox, he prob used his foot to cram it all in.. so maybe use somebody with a little bit of Education next time? I don’t know, Polk County is full of dumb freakin idiots...
We live at the north end of Polk county...have Davenport address...long drive to go to that post office so I did my temporary mail change on line...well we get some of our mail and some is going back saying we moved! Tried to call they don't answer! Come on this happens every year...pay attention please!
Let’s start this off with first of all they got the name of our street wrong. Our actual street address does not exist to them.To Polk County it does. Second of all many times it has happened that they say “can’t find your mailbox” and my package gets returned to sender. We’ve only lived in our newly built home for a week, and this has happened many times. Very frustrating! Third of all when they finally could find the mailbox they squeezed a package way to big to fit into the mailbox (we have a locker mailbox) when it should have just been delivered to my home! Never actually could open the slot they jammed it into...
Once again an item I ordered was marked "Return to Sender" because a substitute driver couldn't find my mailbox. This is really getting old plus the fact that it's costing me money! I've notified the Davenport FL Post Office, in writing of the issue, yet it continues to happen every time there is a substitute driver!!!

Very frustrated to say the least! Third time a scheduled pickup was missed. The phone never answers or goes to fax, tried calling the 800 number and they say the hold time is over an hour!! Think its time to reconsider using usps for packages going forward...... very sad
Since I cant get anyone to answer the phone this is the only way to get the message out. Our mail carrier is awful but especially during the holidays its gotten worse. Thank Goodness I have great neighbors that do not mind doing the Carriers job otherwise i would never get my mail!
I got a notice that my tracked pkg was in my PO Box..nope. So I called the PO...no answer 4 times..tried to email Postmaster. Nope, can't do that. Only want the substitute carrier to be asked about it while it's fresh in his mind. I filled out a Where's My Mail form. This is not the first time and I'm growing impatient with the incompetence. I thought one needed to pass an exam to work for the PO. Now I can't post without deleting first one, so here it is as a reply.

Please hire competent workers. My current carrier is terrible. I am constantly receiving other peoples mail. I can only wonder who is receiving mine and what they are doing with it. Address this problem, and please answer the phone!
This post office refuse to service my house base on some regulation and when I asked to provide me those regulation the manager refuse to provide me and force me to move away asking the next in line. I even called the federal numbe for USPS and no one know about any regulation that obstruct me to received mail and they are playing ball with me. This is going on for over a years and even tax mail is send back.
All my mail is send back for the reason of incorrect address when actually the address is perfectly correct they don’t have balls to return the mail base on refusing to deliver the mail. I even went to the post office to pick up my mail and packages and they refuse to release and smile in my face saying that you won’t get them because you are not permanent resident here,but I pay my taxes as a permanent resident with no discount for not leave permanent at that address.
Ironically if I buy a box they have no problem to service me even if I don’t leave permanent there. So should I come to the conclusion that they are as.. and want to make more money?

This post office now qualify as the WORST one I have ever had dealings with.3 boxes with tracking numbers where all returned to sender having arrived at the Davenport office and not delivered to me. The reason stated address incorrect/ not readable/ incomplete. I am 13 miles from the office in Davenport. The address were correct they are just bone idle
I will be contacting the branch director for the unprofessionalism and the actions of our newly assigned mail carrier. The majority of my clients travel extensively for business, and come home to vacant slips in their mailboxes. We have never had an issue with mail being brought to our office to hold. If this is policy, that is understandable, but we have never had an issue with working with the post office to service out residents the best that we can. He refused to give the name of his supervisor, so this is a heads up that we will be filing a complaint that goes beyond his branch.
I've been living in Davenport for almost 2 years now and have NEVER experienced worse service from the USPS. My father spent 20 years after leaving the Army working for USPS in Washington State and always had good things to say so I grew up believing in supporting USPS over UPS or FedEx, but after 2 years of "delivered" or "held" packages (based on my experience they came on Saturdays when the back-up delivered, but don't bet on the regular lady Monday-Friday, my boyfriend saw her leave a slip instead of the package on the day it was supposed to be delivered, necessitating a 45 minute drive to the Post Office to pick up what was a $5 Flat Rate box), unanswered service calls to the Post Office, or the mail carrier throwing mail on a car (the neighbors' car, they are as unimpressed as we are) we are absolutely done and will be totally switching to FedEx from here on out.
Never answer their phone... I moved from Davenport and its a three hour travel I cant make now. I’m trying to talk to someone to see if they kept my Driver License by accident or else. Please somebody answer I don’t have a physic address yet and need my DL for work!!!
According to the tracking, my package was delivered 3 days ago “in or at my mailbox.” Was not there 3 days ago, still not there now and not surprising. This isn’t the first time. Sad that the people of Davenport have to cross their fingers in hopes that their packages will actually be delivered to them. A second item I ordered that is to be “delivered” by USPS will supposedly be here tomorrow. Somehow I doubt that. If you feel like spending money on something that will be delivered by this post office...forget it. Just hand that money directly to the mailman instead.
I had medicine delivered a week ago. Mailbox says delivered but the mail person who delivers in the 33897 area did not leave me a key to the package mailbox at the complex in my mailbox.
It has been sitting the mailbox for a week, I called the local post office then corporate and no one is answering.
I called multiple times. I work 12 hours a day Mon - Fri so I cannot go to the post office at that time. I need the medication as soon as possible.
The mail person has been negligent with putting packages and their keys in the correct mailbox before, there had been a package months ago I had delivered for a birthday and even though it was delivered I was unable to get to the mailbox (no key in my mailbox) for a month.
This time it is my medication, this has to do with my health and it is a very serious issue.
I'm just wondering why I keep getting My Redplum insert with out the coupons that come in the "redplum." I've always recevied them with no problem unless it was a holiday week, but for the last two weeks NOTHING not a single coupon,just the front page that says Redplum! I know the paper no longer carries them but I checked and they are still being mailed. So,is there someone taking them before we get our mail?
Davenport Post Office is unbelievable. I returned home after being out of town on business and when days went by and no mail was received despite the hold period had long passed - the mail carrier told me that her supervisor put my address as non-resident and had taken me off of the mail route completely. Yes, I was forced in a matter of speaking, to open up a postal box to receive regular mail such as bills - only because they continually botched my mail delivery at the house - almost on purpose. Yes, I am out of town on business frequently and had no problem in years past, putting my mail on hold for a week to 10 days, only to have my mail redelivered upon my return, but for some reason the mail carrier never could quite grasp that they were to deliver the mail that was held, after the hold had stopped. Now today - we were told because of Irma that they had stopped delivering mail - told this by one who receives mail from them at a UPS store. I don't think this is true - but who knows ?
Trying to send a package to my son who is in a rental house in Davenport. Tracking says "address undeliverable" even though the address is correct. National post office customer service agent told me to call the Davenport office. No one is picking up the phone! Wish I had seen these reviews before I sent the package. I would have used UPS or FedEx.
Mail carrier is always sticking first class mail into bulk mail (marrying) I asked them not to so so but to no avail. Today he left the box open so all the mail is soaked. Also with magic marker writes in nice big print that says (do not block mailbox). My daughter sometimes parks on the street but far away enough as to not to interfere with his route. Called the post office because I am expecting a custom package. The tracking states a notice was left that they tried to deliver. No other information was provided and I did not receive a notice on my door or in my postal box. I called to see what was going on and if they had the package for me to pick up or if they would try to re-deliver, since I never received a notice to tell me any options, and no one is picking up the phone. It's a voicemail with NO OTHER OPTIONS. WTH? I know you can answer a phone :-( Do I really have to drive to Davenport to find anything out???? This is a very expensive custom order and I'm not happy. Period.
This is the second time I had to pay the $1 charge to forward my mail. The package I received in May was forwarded, but the latest one from June 26th shows it was not deliverable. The one last year was never found, and was costly. These are from Optum RX. And it important that we receive them. The address was changed with Optum RX and the Davenport post office, and it still is not correct!!!!

I'm not a resident, but I recently ordered a package from Davenport, and I have yet to receive it and the shipping info has not been updated since the label was created. This is a review, but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and if so do you have any recommendations on what I should do.
I tried calling the post office many times and I get no answer. Our drive way is kind of long and they think it a smart idea to tie my package up, all the way up on my neighbors fence. This is the three time I've had something stolen because of them. They use to leave little papers saying you missed your package come pick it up. But now I just get my stuff stolen.

I think they need to put more attention for the security of the resident correspondence.
Just moved into the area. Need to set up new service.Tried calling the phone number several dozen times during their alleged hours but they never answer. If they were not a government agency they would be out of business in a week. Called Haines City post office to verify phone number. They answered right away and the guy was very polite and professional. Davenport could learn a lot from them.
Awful delivery service. The delivery man delivered an Amazon package on Sunday to my residence. The problem is that the address in the package is 109 Ambersweet Way, and its a UPS Store! They do not open on Sundays. Where is my Amazon merchandise, I suspect, in a ditch somewhere? They are liars!
This post office is literally the worst post office in America. They refuse to deliver my mail to my residence. They always return every single piece of mail to the sender with the words: "not deliverable. Incomplete address." Except the address is a complete, legal, American address. I've spoken to the manager at this facility who told me personally that there isn't anything wrong with my address and they will NEVER deliver to my residence because they don't want to go there. They have done this every single time I ordered something. I've filed a complaint with USPS but it's come and gone and no one wants to do anything about it. My next step is gonna be a lawsuit.
Selected item to Pick up from Post Office but got ignored & returned to sender. Calls to Post Office number during opening hours get diverted to machine giving opening hours. Central call centre not much help - also line held so call didn't go through to "feedback collection."
Just to follow up - I visited the Post Office in person. The attendant couldn't help but called a supervisor. She was excellent. I explained my problem, she was able to track the parcel & get it to the Post Office for me to collect the next day. Returned the next morning, presented gov. issued photographic id. and received my parcel. Perfect! Well done for turning round what was an unhappy experience which USPS 1800 operator was unable to solve and didn't give me confidence they knew what would happen. Interestingly they held the line indefinitely so I was unable to be connected to their feedback system to provide feedback following my call. Recommendation - visit this Post Office in person and explain your problem to a Supervisor.

My Delivery person refuses to give me my mail if my car is parked within 20FT of my mailbox. She did it again today when I NEEDED a part to fix my iPhone. Now I have to wait until Monday if I am lucky enough to get my mail and I need that phone for my job. NOT HAPPY!!!!
I've always had a great experience with this Post Office. Maria and her small staff are always courteous and helpful, and I rarely get someone else's mail, and when I do, I just return it to them so they can make sure it gets to the correct box. And you get that personal service, where they know your name and box number, and they actually live in our Communuty too. I'im surprised at the few negative reviews, as that's not my experience at all, and I think they're complaining about getting others mail too much. Is it really a big deal to return it so it can get to the correct box? And it's much better than standing in line for a half hour at the main Post Office downtown, getting impersonal service from workers that don't know or care who you are. This post office has repeatedly delivered mail to my box that had other box numbers on it. They have lost my mail or delivered it weeks later than it should have been delivered. These were important items such as utility bills, tax documents, etc. I can't help but think that the term "incompetence" applies here. Whatever happened to the old-fashioned ethic of serving the public? Yet they keep raising the rates.
This is by far the worst post office I have ever used in my entire life. If you live in this area do not have anything shipped by the post office to you. My package says delivered. I never got it. Called probably 30 times and was always PROMISED I would get a call back with more information. Never once got a call back. No one could ever tell me where the item was delivered to. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
Just return it to the office staff, and if they're closed, return it when they're open, and they'll make sure it gets to the correct box next time. Is that such a big deal? I don't think so. Not a big enough problem to complain about like others are doing. We should all just be happy we have a small community post office to go to, with a staff that knows your name, and where it usually takes just a minute or so to do your business, unlike the big impersonal main post office in town.
