Worst service in Connecticut! Packages left in the rain even though I have a covered porch, if the package gets delivered at all.

I'd like to commend our delivery woman for service above and beyond. I was taking a long walk for the first time on my surgically repaired knee, and my leg gave out. I fell, and couldn't get up. (Yes, I know about the commercial.) She saw me sitting in the roadside, and helped me stand, then assisted me to my home...all this with the temp in the 90s.

The post office In Hebron is not appropriately staffed and the service is unacceptable. I waited in line for 1 and 1/2 hours this morning for the postal employee to service one customer, and she ended up taking her package back and never mailed it. He forgot the insurance and had to start over then he had two labels on the package and then he charged her for mailing it twice and couldn’t figure out how to correct it! He can’t see, he is incredibly slow and he did not ask for help. There are numerous people walking around in the back and not one person offerred to assist with the line out the door! The employee who was waiting on us didn’t ask for help or apologize for how long he took. Honestly - this office continues to get worse, the manager didn’t care about the wait, walked through and then went back not helping at all. I hate to say this but you would not get this level of customer service anywhere at a private company. That person we pull be fired, people would work as a team and cross over jobs to service the customer. This never happens here. Between the pay and benefits of government employees, and our taxes to support them, I would expect much better management and service. It’s is really sad how some employees take advantage of the system.

I am amazed at the great service received from the Hebron CT mail delivery persons. Not only can I count on them for safe transport of all mail, but also to reliably pick up packages and I've even bought stamps from them! All this service for no extra charge. With mail service busier than ever during this COVID pandemic, our mail persons are pleasant, patient, and take the extra time to drive down the driveway to deliver and pick up packages. I am very pleased with and thankful for this service.

Yesterday 12/19 a large box was left on the ground next to the P.O. Box, which is at the end of our long driveway....this is unacceptable service !!! For obvious reasons.

We had a terrible experience with the Hebron, CT post office with our recent move. We filled out the form to have our mail forwarded to new address. Three days in a row after the stop date it was delivered. After we left our neighbors checked and the mail was still being delivered. I talked to Robin every day with no results. We lived in Hebron 52 years and the service at that post office was so bad we always used Amston, Marlborough or Columbia.
