Just after 9 am this morning I brought an ebay vendor return to the post office. As I stepped up to the counter, I said a cheery good morning. The tall woman there immediately started lecturing me about putting my rather large package through the tall opening rather than the smaller counter opening. I had already figured that out. Then she asked if I had measured and weighed the package. I explained that it was an ebay return. I had only just printed the label they sent me. She said a lot of these packages are being returned for postage. She did not offer a single solution or ask for more postage. She just continued to scold me. Then she said, "well, I just want you to know." This woman should not be providing face-to-face service for anyone. She definitely ruined the day of this senior citizen with her bullying and scolding. Why?
Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and that's saying something. I got a passport here and the woman "helping" me (Pamela, because you bet I will name her) could not have been more rude.
I understand that there are delays in getting passports now, but I don't need you telling me that it's because "illegals are coming here from Mexico." Makes absolutely no sense and is unprofessional at best and insane at worst.
Find a new job if you're going to act so miserable. The fact that you are employed to interact with the public is an utter embarrassment.
Never going here again. I would have been better off literally walking to Hamden or somewhere else.
Pamela, the lady who works the front window, should not be a federal employee. She is extremely rude and has zero points towards her customer service. It’s actually a shame that she is still employed at a federal position. I can honestly say I’ve never been more disappointed through a customer interaction before. I can definitely say I will never return to this location as long as she is employeed there. 0 out of 1,000 for a rating for her. If you don’t want to have interactions with the public, find a different profession.
I am a minority resident of Cheshire CT and have been for 30 years! Cindy at the Cheshire CT branch is very rude to me and unprofessional with minority customers. I’ve experienced it today and often. My package she didn’t want to take from me even though it was properly packaged she gave me a very unprofessional attitude. I spoke to Tony who wouldn’t give me his last name but stated he was a manager. I’ve heard Cindy voice that she was a Trump supporter and encouraged customers to vote, political viewpoints have no baring in the work place. I’ve heard her offer services above or beyond for customers prior to me and when It’s my turn to be serviced She is very very rude. It seems discriminatory and I will continue to persist until things are rectified. Very dissatisfied and this seems like a civil basic human rights issue in which I have zero tolerance for. Tony the supervisor was also very non helpful in communication by telling me my concerns/perception weren’t valid. If cameras were available during the time of my visit the body language of both were very unprofessional.
Poor customer service. They talk to much especially woman with gray hair shoulder length. So many people complain about this post office - very slow service. Do not want to go there even though I reside in town.
I went to the Cheshire Post Office today around 4 pm to mail a Passport Renewal. The first gentleman was very professional and advised me how to secure the picture onto the form. I asked him if I needed to sign the picture and he said he did not think so but would find someone who was more familiar with the passport process. Another staff member came out (woman with straight shoulder length gray hair pulled back in a barette). I asked her if she was the person who was going to help me and she advised me that she only helps people with new passport applications, but does not help with the renewals as that is up to the customer. I was dumbfounded by her response. I am never sure why people choose customer service jobs when they cannot deal with the public.

Just wanted to give my thanks to staff at Cheshire Post Office this morning. Pam (I believe her name is) went above and beyond tracking down my package along with the kind staff working in the back. Totally polite and awesome. Thanks so much! -Sarah Miller
