It seems they don't feel like delivering packages any longer. Not to mention no one answers the phone. People who are disabled or have no car need their packages as well as mail. What has happened?
Have a new problem with an address used for 40 years. We used to have to use our house number on a private road on a mailbox on a county road and used a separate billing and package deliver address in forms. For about 10 we have been able to use the actual address without issue as the rest of our neighbors do. Something changed this year. Recently our mail is randomly 'undeliverable' sometimes addressed at the county road address and sometimes at the physical address. What do we have to do to prevent these random undeliverable notices? We got a bigger box and new numbers. We are one of 4 homes on our private road and the only ones with this problem. This time it cost me money and stress.
We love our regular mailman! Every time there is a sub we have a problem. I have been waiting for an emergency monitor for 2 days after seeing the driver burn out trying to get away yesterday (friday) after looking out for him ALL DAY we would rather pick it up than get another BS statement saying someone tried to deliver. I ran out the door as fast as I could but he obviously did not want to deliver or he would have left it in our designated spot. We did not pay for one day service for this! We would rather pick it up ourselves than endanger the electronics with delivery games.
Sir(s), please assist in forwarding my mail that's in a secure
P.O.Box at my old address. The reason of this request is that I have misplaced my key.
I requested the change of address and have been rec'd mail at my current address (6429 Hyslop rd. St Clair,MI. 48079.)
The old address of 215 summit view lane, poncha springs, CO.
zip code 81201.
Please advise as soon as possible.
Every time I call the office it just rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and then it hangs up. I can’t find an email address and because I’m out of town I can’t go to the post office itself.
Please call me! 303-505-3859
Help!
I have been trying to get a hold of somebody at the post office and nobody ever answers the phone. I applied last week to be put on one of the routes for a house that I just built and I was told somebody would call me back and nobody has called me back. I need to set up service but I can’t seem to get anybody on the phone
Do believe anything I say its all lies this is Fatmaster Fatman Manny and I will lie to the entire city of Salida just to keep my job in my gym shorts and 5xl t-shirt.
The Post Office delivered a package worth 172.92$ to my neighbors address. It was March 22, 2021 I believe.
I got a follow up from the Postmaster, who said he needed to decide "if it's his supervisor or I (me)am lying". Apparently the supervisor had told him he'd spoken to me via telephone. He had not. And he finished with "we'll get back to you."
It's been a month and six days. No one is getting back to me.
Except for a Postal Survey, which is probably the most important thing to them, asking about my experience. My experience with Salida Post Office and its employees has always been great. Save for this unfortunate thing. And I'm still out my hard earned cash.
No answers and no responses. It will be four months in 1 week. Very disappointing.

Five months have gone by, with no further contact from Salida Post Office. I had to write to headquarters in Washington D.C. and eplain to them what happened.
They must not have bothered actually looking in to it. I got some made up nonsense and shoved me off.
Long story short, they ignored the PO Box # on the package, delivered it to my neighbors, who have primary address, and someone told someone "it was given to me."
There is some dishonesty going on here unfortunately. And I am out $172.92 in the meantime.
I would urge Salida USPS Post Office Box holders NOT TO have anything of value sent to them. It's very disappointing, I've had a good relationship in this town for 8 years. The front line workers at the desk are always top notch. Seems like, as per usual, the problems are at the top.

I live in Pinon Hills and our neighbors across the street would like to change the position of their mail box. For whatever reason, our mailboxes are not in the correct numerical order. I know that throws off the various postal delivery people we have. We were thinking we would do a "T" style post with our mailbox on one side and our neighbors on the other. When we do this we could put the boxes in numerical order. Other than the height of the mailbox and a regulation mailbox, are there any other issues we should be aware of prior to moving forward on this project? We would use the post we currently have to reconfigure the boxes. Thanks! Sandy
I very much appreciate all my interactions with the postal service employees. I have been helped when needed and greeted happily and given professional assistance for many years now.
Thank you all!!
The postal carrier that comes to Garfield continues to put my mail in the wrong box. A package has been delivered according to the tracking number, but the key to the package box is not in my box. I went in yesterday and in writing made my complaint. Our carrier did put mail in my box today, but still no package key and I still haven't received my package 2 days later.
Did you ever receive your package? I'm in the information gathering phase of my situation.

I Love the Salida Post office. I addressed a pack wrong. I called the Salida Post Office and Mindy helped me out. Held the package so I could pick it up and re-address it. I have had several very positive issues with this post office. Great work people. Sincerely, Diana Hatfield
I am very very tired of the noise from a post office Semi Truck that comes in and out on Park Ave. in the middle of the night every night. Then he sits and lets it just idle often.. This is a small town and Park Ave is a residential neighborhood Semi Trucks have no business in Town.
