I just moved from NY to CO and I'm very happy with my new post office! The employees are so helpful and considerate. They are efficient and professional, and above all, courteous. I especially like being assisted by Tiffany and Ganesh because they are very thorough to take care of any questions I might have.

This review combines hundreds of transactions surveys for the 8th Street Post Office…The Durango Post Office Employees are nothing but Saints! They work daily, mostly understaffed, and deal with hostile town folk, to boot! Tiffany, Adina, the new Nepalese Gentelman, the kind Native Girl and the Nice Woman with pink hair are all excellent at their jobs. (Sorry for not knowing some of their names!) I have personally witnessed Tiffany process an entire room full of patrons orders single handedly! WOW! I also miss Cari and Yo, who were also fantastic at their jobs. These people are the unsung heroes and deserving of pay increases, for sure! I do not envy their positions. I have the utmost respect for every single one of them and the people that are behind the scenes. May God Bless every one of you! Thank you for all you do! 🙏🏼💗❤️

The P.O. just delivered an Amazon package to my home address and dropped it directly in front of my closed garage door. They placed it perfectly where my right side tires would surely hit it and of coarse I ran it over when I backed out. The front porch was 10 feet away. It's almost like it was done on purpose. Luckily it wasn't an expensive item and it did survive. This could have been real ugly.

Hello, is anyone delivering my mail. I order a lot of Amazon items for my business and I track them. The mail service keeps leaving messages like Attempted to delivery, We had an issue, and here is a good one...No access to the mailbox which is located on the highway on 160 west. Hmmm we haven't had any snow or weather related issues. I have also filed a compliant and have a case number now. I have called the Durango post office and no one answers. I even went in and was treated very rudely by a postal worker. Very unsatisfied customer.

Hi, without fail usps looses my important packages. I was hoping it would be better in Durango. I know you people have delivered to my address before, I’ve seen it, they have a freaking mail box. But apparently you guys “couldn’t reach the location”, in other words just being plain lazy. It’s not hard to deliver to a place that you’ve gone to before. I hope you can figure out your crap and stop depriving me of my medical equipment. Just came back to say, I read the other reviews and it sounds like you just have lazy incompetent employees. You can expect me there tomorrow morning to chew you guys out. Also answer your phone that’s what their for.

My neighbor's mail is put in my box on a regular basis. Makes me wonder where some of my mail is going. Also I have lived at this address for 5 years and am still getting the previous tenant's mail, I don't know where he moved to and I would like to know how to stop getting his mail. It could be he is still using this address to receive mail and if so how can I stop that from happening?

I am tired of my packages being shoved in my box and having to rip them out the front because the mail person is too lazy or can care less to put them in the larger bin and put a key in my box. Also tired of them putting my package has been delivered and doesnt get delivered for days or its ripped or in this current case not at all. I have many neighbors complain that they have seen the carrier throw mail away. Need a carrier that cares about the mail being delivered. This carrier needs to find another job. Can't ever get ahold of the local post office. They truly dont want me to come into the local office. It wont be nice.

This post office has the worst service I’ve ever seen. I was waiting for a package. I got a knock on my door while I was stepping out of the shower. They left a notice on my door that required a signiture. I’ve attempted many times, hours on the phone for redelivery. I got a call finally after 2 days saying they would redelivery. It’s still not here. I haven’t even walked my dog. This is ridiculous. I even photocopied the notice, taped it to the outside of my mail box and asked them to redelivery. The carrier crammed other packages in my box but was too lazy to redelivery my package. I just don’t understand. I don’t have a car and don’t want to be exposed to COVID so I don’t want to take the bus to get a package. DO YOUR DAMN JOB!!!!!!!!!

The mailman that delivers to our apts needs some training! He shoves packages so tight in the big boxes that you can't even open the box. Plus a package fell out of his truck, got ran over by ups and then got marked as delivered! The gentleman that witnessed it actually brought it to me. Last week, neighbors package got put in my box. We are constantly being given the wrong mail. Plus there have been some packages not even delivered but marked as delivered. Is he taking these home? I guess I need to find a way to talk to postmaster general.

This is the worst PO ive ever dealt with period! They cannot seem to process change of address forms with going down the PO to complain a month after the verification form says the mail shouls be forwarded. Has happened TWO years in a row!! Now, I have two packages delivered at my new address. Its an apartment building that is open, like my front door opena onto a balcony. Its an old converted hotel! The box were our mailboxes are doesnt not have parcel spots for larger items. UPS and Fedex have not had a single issue deliverying packages to my front door. But the lazy clown at USPS, wants to leave a "Sorry we missed u" slip in my box. He NEVER came to my door and tried to deliver the package. Im working from home right now. I saw him pull up, no knock or delivery! One of these is a recurring monthly package. Im not going to go down to the PO every month cuz they are lazy! Unprofessional behavior like this is exactly why they are losing money! Nobody trusts the USPS anymore. They need to go under and lets take our tax dollars and put something that actually works in place. This ridiculous!

my daughter moved there to durango, last year.she has not been receiving her mail in a normal manner at her apartment mailbox. packages i sent from ohio for christmas were found far away from where they were supposed to be, slit open deliberately. the only person with access was the mail carrier and possibly an accomplice he gave access to inside the apartment mailroom. furthermore the christmas card we sent her with a gift card never arrived either. something fishy going on there in durango. i hope you address this as soon as possible. these shennanigans at christmas cause pain and frustration not to mention ruining the holiday spirit for those expecting to hear something from home.

We are not getting mail out county road 224. In the last 7 mail days, we have recieved mail just twice. I am dependent on the service for my paychecks, and am now running late on bills. If it doesn't change soon, I am getting a lawyer, and usps can pay the late fees, or a new car if that gets repossessed. Do your job.
