I took a sealed envelope with a stamp to the Castle Rock Post office. I noticed the corners were not totally sealed. Since it had a pay check in it I asked Nikki the employee behind the desk if she could put a small piece of tape on it (not like an entire package, a tiny piece on an envelope) and she said "no, we don't do that."
She was so stoned faced and it took me by such surprise that she had not one once of customer service skills in her. I thought maybe she didn't understand so I repeated myself, "I just need a tiny piece on the corner to ensure it doens't tear open." Her response again was "No, we don't do that".
WOW! Government worker at it's finest, were customer service is NOT in the vocabulary! I too get wrong my in the mailbox repeatedly.
Order something from Amazon, shows it was delivered, wasn't put in my mailbox, or a key left for where packages should be. Not only that but my mail person is constantly placing the wrong mail into my box. If you can't find people who can do the job, I don't think they should be handling mail of people in this town. Plus now I need to figure out where my package is.
Local number won't go through, call the 800# 1 hour 18 minutes hold time. Really.......................................................................... Terrible, this is why ups, fed x are better choices!
had to hang up, called back 40 - 50 minute hold time. It shows our 12 foot long package was delivered today, needs signature, my husband home waiting for it. yet everything says it was delivered.. can't talk to anyone to try & find out where it was delivered.. so frustrating.

Service at the counter has been improving of late. It's amazing to experience how much faster I can be served in line when there are 3 or 4 representatives instead of 1 or 2. The lines in the past were routinely as long as the counter and often out into the lobby.
In addition, it seems the employees attitudes are much better. They seem to want to serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner rather than just going through the motions. I'm leaving this comment because I want management and the employees to know their efforts are not going unnoticed and ARE APPRECIATED!
This post office does not answer their phone, in fact quite sure they take it off the hook. Even other Douglas County post offices are saying the same thing.
Does anyone read these reviews and who is responsible in holding the employees at this post office accountable? I am not expecting a response to this review given my experience.
Why doesn't anyone answer the phone number when I call??? I've called at a variety of times across the day and no one answers the phone--EVER!~ What is going on??? How can I reach someone to discuss 5 bills not being delivered to my mailbox??? HELP!!!!! Not impressed with the service.
What a joke of a post office . My mail forward isn’t working . The postman is putting my mail in the wrong box constantly at my new place . They say they will call me back when I go there and ask for help to straighten it out and they never call . The phone number is constantly busy , pretty sure they take it off the hook . I’ve never been so angry with a post office . 1000.00 check just lost and they don’t seem to want to help me at all!!!!
The service of this post office is really bad. They say a package has been delivered when it has not. I have to go to the box more then once and it appears. The post man is gaming the system....he delivers it later than he says. I am sick of getting my mail at 6:15 in the evening. Hire some compentent employees.
I have been living in my home for almost a year. I get everyone elses mail except my own and my neighbors get that. Are the carriers not tested to insure they can read? I have tried to call the local post office in Castle Rock Colorado to complain but the line is ALWAYS busy and I cannot get through. Additionally the lock box where packages are left are not functional, the locks are impossible to open. I had a package left there today and was unable to open the box. I tried all the others that were unlocked and the locks were impossible to turn. This is frustrating and the entire neighborhood is up in arms.
This is the worst post office. No customer service. I wish they would pay these employees like the real world and if they do a good job they get bonuses or they are fired. It is such a simple job, but somehow, they can still screw it up.
First of all, yes they should definitely get paid more. Second, you obviously don’t have a clue what your mail carriers job entails. It is anything but easy. Try remembering 600 or more addresses. And that’s just 1 route. They fill in for other routes when necessary. They don’t just show up in the morning with all the mail in a nice neat pile. It’s all sorted and cases by your carrier. Each piece of mail is sorted and put in its slot. After several hours of sorting they have to pull it all down and haul it to there vehicle. Mail is heavy. Especially when it’s magazine day or telephone books etc. Also, don’t forget the butt load of packages that they have to deliver. And keeping up with who moves out, who moves in, who wants their mail forwarded, who wants theirs on hold. Also, try remembering who wants their packages left at the post office and who wants theirs delivered every time. Get in and out of their vehicle hundreds of times a day. They deal with your dogs, wasps, spiders and mosquitos all day. They also pick up your outgoing mail and packages. There’s much much more on the to do list but that’s just an example for you. Finally, guess what? It’s all done free of charge to you. You don’t pay them to do the work they do. You don’t get charged for their service. Anyways, I hope that helps u understand a little better.

Awesome Customer Service!!! I had an oversized package delivered so the key was left in my mailbox. When I tried the key, it would not open. I called the post office and spoke to Glen, who said he would try and contact the carrier and get it to me. It wasn't 5 minutes when he called back and said he contacted the carrier and he would retrieve the package and bring it to my door. Within an hours time, the carrier was ringing my door, package in hand. Thank you so much to my Awesome carrier(sorry I didn't get his name) and Glen! That is Customer Service!!!
We order medicine for our dog online. It doesn't fit in our regular mailbox so the mail girl puts it in the large package box and leaves the key in our mailbox. The only problem is the key does not work. I left her a note in our mailbox and she did nothing about it...just left the key that doesn't work in the box and put new mail on top of it. Our dogs medicine has been sitting in the box for two days now and I have no way of getting to it.
And this is the third time we have been given a key that doesn't work. Nobody cares if you can get to your mail or not.
Something needs to change.
I was just sitting in my front room when I saw our mail carrier drive up. She got out carrying a long box so I got up to meet her at the door. Before I could open the door and threw the box on my porch resulting in it hitting my door. I opened the door and she was already in her truck. When I stepped outside she was pulling away. This is not the first time I have had problems with our mail carriers. I have been to the post office in person countless amount of times to complain about opened cards and packages, wrong mail in our box and our mail going to our neighbors. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I am severely frustrated and down right angry. There is no reason for this and certainly no reason for a box learly marked FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE on it to be thrown on my porch from my drive way when all she had to do was take a few more steps and go up two stairs. With that being said, something needs to be done. Action is required and this mail carrier should suffer the consequences. I really don't care if she loses her job. She clearly doesn't want to do it well anyway. Annoyed in Castle Rock, Vince and Lori
I had a package that was suppose to deliver June 22nd...it never showed up, and the tracking information says delivery status not available. I went into the post office twice. The first time I gave them the tracking number, they said they would get in contact with the carrier and call me later that day....this never happend. I called the very next day and still no one got back to me. So the following Monday I went in, and they asked for the tracking number again and said someone would call me, again this never happened. Today I call and AGAIN they say they will talk to the carrier when they get in and call me. I am betting I will not get a phone call. If you lose someone's package as a supervisor it is YOUR responsibility to find that package. Not tell me it looks like it is in castle rock you just don't know where. Put a little pep in your step and start doing your job as a supervisor AL and Chris.
Yup me to I bet you live in the crystal vvalley ranch area like me doesn't come till 6 everyday. I actually am doing something about it tho because he has lied on the tracking delivery time with packages as lot and I have proof . he's done!!!

Wow... I've lived in a good amount of places in my lifetime & NEVER have I had this bad of an experience(s) with a post office. My biggest & most annoyed complaint is that this PO is CONSTANTLY marking packages as delivered and it's not true, there's no package, there's not even any freaking mail! They don't even come, yet they say all my tracked packages are delivered. It's so annoying, I can't even explain. I receive a lot of packages, but they are NEVER delivered when they are supposed to be. I've had NUMEROUS packages and mail delivered to me that are for other addresses, I end up having to deliver them personally to the correct recipient. I should get a job there, at least I know I'd do my job correctly & not lie about when a package is delivered. It's incredibly frustrating that this PO is so horrible to deal with. It's sad, really.
