I live in the 1400 block of De Anza Blvd, San Mateo. Three times (Tue, Fri and Sat, 7/29/2023) the outgoing mail was not pickup up. Other neighbors received their mail but my home was missed. Is the postal practice to not pickup unless their is coming mail to deliver?

Someone sent me a letter via certified mail return receipt requested. The San Mateo postal carrier signed the return receipt postcard (using someone else's name), and I did not get the mail until 4 days later (the sender received the postcard 3 days before I received the mail). This has been reported to the postmaster inspector for investigation of identity theft, interception of mail and mismanagement of mail.

My neighbor two houses down the street, found my CERTIFIED MAIL on the floor on her front yard in San Mateo. the mail was from work compensation SEDWICK on 3/15/2022. I always see the post office employee distracted talking on the phone with the wireless ear plugs. This is totally unacceptable, unprofessional, dangerous, irresponsible and unlawful way to handle our sensitive mail.

Super hard to get a hold of anyone via phone. Tried to call them to install the master lock for our building, and once get through once, but still not installed 5 months after.

We have been experiencing significant delays receiving postal mail since the end of spring 2020. Two-three week delays on a regular basis (including mail sent within the state of California) and in some cases, not receiving our mail at all -- including important time sensitive mail that is completely missing. Where and how do you file a complaint? Where is our mail going? When I call the post office, noone answers!

I got a Amazon package that was delivered by USPS to me. But I had not order anything from Amazon. Could I have a mail carrier pick up the package and deliver it to the correct address.

are window postal workers required to wear masks? Then Ladies, WEAR them! 2/3 workers without masks yesterday. Not even the mask as a chin strap. No mask at all. All customers were wearing them.

Seems our mail carrier has decided to start leaving our apartment complexes packages at the mail box that is uncovered. Multiple Amazon packages are left just sitting in plain view. I now have 3 packages missing in less than a week.

1-2 days a week, my neighbors mail is incorrectly delivered to me. Isn't the postal worker checking? This has been consistently happening for years despite several complaints. Please fix and address this issue.

I’ve HAD to call there many times to complain about how they continually screw up my premium mail forwarding. It’s a joke. The phone just rings and rings and rings. I have better luck at certain times of the day and some times get to speak with a like person. It’s just a continual reminder of how understaffed they must be. At least that’s what I hope it is. Please get an answering machine....that records!! And how about delivering my packages when it says your going to in my daily email?

I did not receive my Visa bill last month. Frequently mail on my street is delivered to the wrong house. We return mail to the rightful recipient. When I tried to speak to the carrier, who is always talking loudly on his phone, he barely looked up. I asked him to please pay attention. He now does not even push my mail all the way through the slot. Nor does he ring the bell when leaving a package. The postal service used to operate efficiently and politely. This postal employee needs to go. Who does read this message?

I've been calling the posted number to schedule a passport appointment for two days. No answer. Is there an online form where we may schedule an appointment instead?

I have the Wall Street Journal mailed to me daily. I've had good experience with this for the past two years, up until two months ago. Over the past 7-8 weeks USPS is failing to deliver my paper two or three times a week, every week. I don't know how my letter carrier gets his daily assigned deliveries, but someone, somewhere in the delivery chain is dropping the ball.

I was waiting for a package, when I checked Amazon it said the package was put into the parcel locker. There was no package. I called last week after ringing over and over my call was answered and I explained my problem. She put me on hold to check on it. After about 7 minutes a man came on the line and asked if he could help me. I explained I was holding for someone who was suppose to be helping me. He put me on hold. He back one more time as the first person never bothered to come back and help me. Another woman came on the line, after explaining for the third time she looked it up and told me what I already knew the site said. I told her I did not get the package so she took my name and number and said she would call me back. She never called. I tried to call them today and it rang for 17 times then went to a busy signal. I called again and this time it rang for 27 time then to a busy signal. This post office of a joke it is no wonder people are not using the postal system anymore. I will have to contact the person who sent the package so they know the post office cannot be bothered to deliver my package and maybe we can use someone else.

I have a standing request to NOT receive the the bundle of ads etc from RedPlum/Digital First Media Co. This has been in effect for quite some time and worked just fine. Until now. The last few weeks that packet has ended up in my mailbox. I would appreciate your reminding the relevant staff to keep my 'slot' free of RedPlum. Thanks for your help.

I am deaf, and homeless, but in University full-time. I was getting the remaining of my school funds mailed to me in Burlingame Post off, and filled out a form for them to HOLD MY MAIL there. After 5 days the required wait time I went back, as usual I let them know IM DEAF, and ask them to speak slowly, or write it down. The young Asian lady called me to the front and I again told her I am deaf and handed her my note what I'm here to pick up. She tells me, "Its not here" I then wrote for her to check in the back because that normally how they retrieve it from the holding box. She then started talking very fast, and would not stop for at least 45 seconds. I finally raised my voice and said, "EXCUSE ME, I am DEAF, can you please check the box in the back" SHE REFUSED to and refused me service. After a second I thought, is this for real? I waaved for the management, explained my situation and needs in writing. She went to the back found a note that said for me to pick up the check at the deleivery terminal down by Broadway in Burlingame. I thanked her, and wrote to USPS afterwards. All they said was WERE SORRY. Well I'm ADA American Disability Acts, and I am currently trying to find aa very good attorney for this issue. Thaat is a federal worker denying me federal public service because I frustrated her with my needing to communicate in writing. I would NEVER GO BACK TO BURLINGAME Postal, even if you paid me.. SHAME ON YOU BURLINGAME AVE. - BURLINGAME POSTAL POSTAL

Something is terribly wrong with the post office's mail deliveries. I have had to pay to stop payment on a rent check because it wasn't delivered. Now I'm faced with stopping payment on another check and rewriting it or I will face late fees - again it wasn't delivered (or probably misdelivered). I haven't received a check payment that I was waiting on that is several weeks late (again it was mailed). I regularly get misdelivered mail and have to redeliver it in the neighborhood. I often have a different delivery person (especially on Saturdays) who doesn't know where the addresses are and I have to tell him/her. Since I can't get through to the post office, I'm going to write to Congresswoman Jackie Speier to have her launch an investigation. Thank You.

I have very similar issues at both the Burlingame office and San Mateo office, I called over 25 times to each office...finally got through at the san mateo office and did get a passport appt. No wonder the san mateo library has taken over this service...such terrible, terrible customer service at the USPS...my goodness! Even worse the Burlingame phone number every other time I called dumped to a fax machine NOT the recorded silly message. One time I did get a person live who put me on hold for 15 min....Oh my..I really do hope they go out of business and their pensions and benefits are lost......truly a entitlement program for so many mediocre employees. I fear my call with the Social security administration tomorrow..I hear that is worse! In general, I don't think they are live bodies...possibly Zombies? Or possible spy transplants from overseas to mess with our government?

Per my phone, I called 23 times today, beginning at 9:20A.M. It's now 2:33P.M. All I want is a (required) passport appointment. Three times, I got a busy signal. Twenty times, it rang until I got a recording saying all circuits were busy, huh?Why can't I make the appt. online, like with the DMV? Why isn't anyone picking up? Why say I must call to make an appt., and then not pick up the phone?

I have been trying to reach a live body for 4 days now and the recorded message simply states the hours then hangs up on you! I went in last Friday (6/7/2013) to pick-up a form to renew my son's passport and they have a big sign up that you have to make an appointment by calling their number to have it processed / renewed. You can't get a live body to make an appointment or a beep to leave a message. If this post office sees this review, please call [number removed] or 650-233-4425 OR email me to let me know how to make my appointment. Pretty ridiculous!
