This afternoon I went to the Belmont Shore post office simply to mail a package the cheapest possible way and asked an employee who was helping in the line to provide me with that information. Instead they told me, "I cannot provide that information, it's a usps policy." I was taken aback and restated my question puzzled that they could not help me with this simple question. Again they repeated their answer and were quite rude, very unhelpful, and told me to wait in line and pick either that box or this box not indicating the prices. I am very surprised and offended by this irrational answer to a very rational question for an establishment. I rarely ever write complaints, this may be my first or second one. Please tell me was I wrong to ask this question??? Is it an actual policy that you cannot direct a customer to the cheapest packaging? I wish I had that employee's name she should not be in the front helping customers.
