I'm not sure how to solve issues with the post office. Communication is really bad. They don't answer the phone, don't have any answers for anything that falls outside of their day to day business. If you can't track a package, you're just out of luck.
If private businesses were run the way the USPS is, they would be out of business. I placed our mail on HOLD for over a week. I received a confirmation and another email when the time was over. Unfortunately, apparently nobody at the Post Office read about the hold mail. Our mail was delivered everyday while we were gone. It would seem if a carrier notes the mail is building up in the box, they would check to see if a hold is in progress or maybe even call someone regarding a wellness check. When I called the local post office, the call was transferred to the "next available agent". If rang and rang and then went to a busy signal. The call was never answered. I also had a package showing delivered that was never received. The local post master suggested I reach out to the merchant to see if they would resend it. It was resent, but the post office never took any credit for what happened initially. I repeat if a private company ran their business in this manner, they would be out of business.
OK for Post Office to sit on obvious junk mail and advertising --- for a day or so --- when delivering mail in bad weather. Stay safe and don't bust your butt. ~:-)
Remember when? Remember when we used to know our mail person well enough to call them by name and gave then holiday cards or a cold bottle of water on hot days? Now I get a different person every day. I worry about getting important papers in the mail or new checks. I've actually gotten medication for a person that lives on the street behind me. I walked it over. Does everybody? What's happened? All temps./subs replaced full timers with benefits. that's what. Is it gonna get better? I doubt it.

We end up having to rely on our good honest neighbors to deliver our mail. Some of our packages and mail many times is even dropped off on Palm St which is the cross street to Flagstone Pl. I’m finally complaining because it happens too often. Our address is very visible even at night. Something has to be done. Next step for me is to complain to the Garden Grove Mayor.
It seems like the postman is putting my mail in to someone’s else’s mailbox. I don’t receive any mail and when I order packages half of them are lost. It’ll say delivered but they’ll be nothing in my mailbox. This is my third package now that’s been delivered but not to me. It’s nowhere in sight. Went to the post office and he told me to write my tracking number and that he’ll give it to the driver who drives my route . Haven’t heard from him yet and now another package has been delivered F#%* frustrating . I don’t trust getting my orders delivered by USPS anymore.

We had a substitute mail carrier today. This person not only gave us mail that belonged to people two doors down, they also gave us someone’s outgoing mail.
No one answers at the Garden Grove post office and the 800 number sucks. No people will answer.
Horrible mail carrier today. Heaven knows where my mail is!!! Not to mention my outgoing mail was probably given out to another neighbor as well!
I call them multiple times a day, visit the office, and have been waiting for a call back from the supervisor for 2 days now. My residents' mailboxes have been broken into multiple times over the last month and they take weeks to replace the locks. Looking for someone to at least call me back so I can discuss solutions.
First of all I have been calling all morning nobody answers the phone and it automatically hangs up before I was getting a ring it was busy busy busy our mailman doesn’t know the meaning of the red flag with this used to happen with substitutes I feel that the supervisors are not training them properly we’ve had mail wedding in our mailbox for two days after a holiday today is the third day Thursday and my husband had to go to the bank and make the payment in person. We also get the wrong mail. the service of not answering the phone is unacceptable.when he He takes the mai, doesn’t know to put the flag down. Supervisors aren’t training correctly. Services at this location are so bad. Lack of communication and lack of pride in the work. I've had to make numerous calls and visits in order to get what I need because 1. Information is not given to me while I'm there the first time. 2. Employees push off responsibility on others.
I've had paperwork ignored and lost.
You may be worked hard but it was your choice to take and stay in your job, do it with pride and at the very least, act like you care. People are your business.
BEWARE OF THIS POSTOFFICE!! For years they have opened my mail and stolen money, account numbers, etc. I informed the postmaster and nothing happened!! I guess when the fox guards the hen house loses will continue to occur!!
This garden grove postal office should be closed down A.S.A.P!!! No one answers the phone and when you do go inside the customer service is so bad and slow. Do not go to this postal office or you will just be frustrated.
The postmaster at this location needs to be fired or lose his position. We used to have a very good mailman until recently when i guess it is the postmaster of the Garden Grove Stanford location decided it was in his best interest (not the mail customers) to change the routes of the mail carriers. The post office does not answer the phones at that location because they know how many complaints they will get each day because of the incompetence of the postmaster at that location.
Absolutely the worst service ever! Called their phone number 8 times and it rang 40 times each and then disconnected. They never answer their phone. Ordered from Amazon and unfortunately the seller used USPS. Status showed delivered to my address (use it all the time) and then a few minutes later showed returned due to undeliverable address. Trying to find out why but you can't get through to this office. Very poor customer service.
This branch has great carriers........mine has been with us for 18 years. I have an e-bay business ad depend on usps daily. I have usps bins for easy pick up. today, there was a new carrier, take in mind I actually have a sign that says, knock. If no answer return to hub. today a new carrier arrived and stood at least 15 ft away from my door. He said he would not get any closer because I have a dog. The dog was laying down sleeping. I started to hand him the the bin and he said, I am not kidding. That dog is a threat too my life!

The Stanford post office has good and bad scores: Good: front counter services are good. I saw one gentleman was helpful. He tried to help out customers who need to pick up or to buy stamps only, sometimes. Bad: - one time I ordered the mails delivery on hold while i was on vacation but those mails had never been delivered to me afterward. I found out some billing statements and the dmv license plate had been held in there while i had applied different license plate because i thought the previous one never came, and i paid penalty for late payments on billings. - recently, i lost some mails including hospital bills and credit cards bills. I don't know who i can blame? The driver or my neighbors?.I live in small gated community. - most recent my friend sent to me a parcel that supposed to come but i never got that. checked tracking number the system showed the parcel had delivered. i called 1-800-222-1811 the problem went nowhere and 714-5371181i would listen to lenghty announcement then hang up. I hope the management of Stanford post office read this and have some corrections to serve customer better.
