I do appreciate that most of the postal employees here have a great attitude. That's always a plus. The only real complaint I have is that we have no way of dropping off packages larger than 6x4x4 after hours. I send out on average 40-45 packages a week. I send them priority but it doesn't feel like im prioritized at all. The place closes at 430pm and doesn't open until 9am?? I go to work at 8am and get off at 5pm. I can't believe they can't stay open at least as long as most other places. I may just take my total of MINIMUM $525.00 a week and start sending them at UPS since the price is only a dollar more & they stay open till 6-7 so at least my packages go out.

Lost packages, Several packages I have sent arrived broken/melted/destroyed (even if marked as fragile). Packages for me with my address delivered to someone with the same name (different address) in a completely different town and never found in (Camp Verde) NEVER answering the phone..... Yes all common ! be aware and if you have time use another location.

The postoffice is Cottonwood is absolutely horrendous. I have never had so much difficulty getting my mail. Sunday Feb 16 2020: I just watched the the mail carrier pull up to my driveway to drop off a package. The dogs were out. I brought them in. She turned around in another driveway drove by and never looked up at my house to see me in my driveway waiting for her. Lazy!!!!!!

It's almost 7:00 p.m. on 10/10 and still no mail delivery? I've had issues with our delivery folks before like not getting my magazines.

Staff is kind and friendly. I like the way they deal with their customers, especially the cranky ones. They are always professional, greet you with a smile, and know what they are doing

I had a package delivered to Camp Verde on a Friday. On Monday I was told it was at the Cottonwood post office. I went in at 4:00 and was told there "are over 200 packages in the back and there is no way we could go through them all". Um, so let me get this straight, you're the POST OFFICE and you can't go through the packages? The VERY RUDE woman claiming to be the manger was adamant that the packages would be checked in some time tomorrow and I could get it in. Let's see if I am following. I have been waiting for my package to travel 10 miles for 5 days? Now I am supposed to GO to the post office TWICE to get a package. Isn't the US Postal system designed to DELIVER packages to us? Perhaps I am mistaken. I was then charged $3.49 for tape and $.79 for a label to SEND my package even when I had my own box. It was the most unpleasant experience, HORRIBLE customer service. My advice: Use FedEx or a local shipping place. It was over $10 as well to send my 2 lb. package with 6 day service. WHAT A JOKE!
