I've been trying to call this post office about a delivery issue and they won't answer the phone

On August 16th, packages were to be delivered to my address. The carrier was in our driveway but did not leave the packages - but stated they could not access the front door. There were NO obstructions to the front door. What is even more frustrating is that no one answers the phone at the post office to discuss this. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

Benson Post Office: 10-18-2021. Went on vacation a month ago, and previous to leaving filled out the form to hold mail until our return; handed it across the counter to the lady working. Just went to pick up our mail, and they have no mail for our address. Asked the lady to check again; "there is no mail held for that address", in her "I already answered that question" tone. Returned home (a 15 mile drive), and there is no mail in our (centralized) mail box. No telling where the usual 20-30 pieces or so of mail we get a week have gone. Bills, some small parts orders, personal letters, bank statements... poof! Nothing to be found. Just tried calling them at the phone number listed online - 520-586-9365. Rings 10 times then goes to a high pitched fax-sounding tone. I tried this 4 times. Great. Now what??? I am exasperated beyond words. BTW - Not one staff or customer wearing a mask. I was literally the only person wearing a mask.

All across our country taxpayers pay for the government to have a telephone number? it's not just this post office? it's all of them. We pay taxes so we have a phone service so we can communicate with the post office? but nobody answers the phones. They are there only for gossiping that's about it.... because the post office I guess does not know how to read and place proper mail in the proper place. I do everything online now because my mail is constantly being lost. the government is like this all over the country, they raise taxes and they can't even do their job.

Good luck using the phone number if for some reason it is not a busy tone and it does ring I promise nobody will answer!!! Why bother having a phone number posted? And the 1-800 number is a 36-45 minute wait.

Horrible delivery service. Postal worker failed to deliver a package. Left no 'Missed delivery' notice, never knocked on the door, didn't even bother to address my apartment complex's manager to leave package with her. Now I have wait until they re-open in order to pick up a 'missed' delivery when said delivery could have been left in parcel locker. P.S.- I was home all day as well. NO ONE CAME TO MY DOOR.

Horrible employees who don't know how to do their jobs and are clueless and only give one response to questions and that answer is NO

You must be talking about another post office. The Benson office has friendly, well-trained people who make doing business with them a pleasure.

I have been trying to reach the post office with a complaint regarding my carrier. The number just rings busy or rings with no answer. The 1800 # there is a 40 min wait! My carrier delivered a fragile package by shoving it into my mailbox on top of a larger package. It crushed part of the box and tore the packaging of the fragile package. I could barley get them out they were shoved in there so tightly! Guess I'll complain to Amazon and they can go after you for destruction of property!

The telephone number for the Benson Post Office is (520) 586-9365. Their hours are 9am-5pm. They don't answer when no one is there. The 800 number is the main post office for the country. Only a fool would expect them to answer. The Benson Postmaster is Scott. He will probably make excuses for the carrier. Complain to your Congressman, who has a the direct telephone number of the postal inspector. Amazon will issue a refund if the property did not arrive safely.
