Have preferences set for items to be left in mailbox which is locked. They never leave it, and then when I fill out for redeliver delivery the next day, it never comes and usually it is even days later that I still have to seek out the package if they don’t return it to sender. They never answer the phone ever.

Ths location should be shut down due to mistreating, retaliation, discrimination of handicap employees and just down right mean, evil and low down and mistreating and mismanagement. It is a shame before God for all that are in cahoots with hiding carriers mail and packages along with stealing from another employee s work station. Running over employees with buggies. Making employees come in at 9:00 during summer when it is already crazy hot outside and making them stay out delivering until 10:00 pm. And the union reps in cahoots with the management to mistreat the mail carriers. Smh! Mail carriers are humans. They get sick and tired too. They have families too. Let them have normal lives with nor reasonable work schedules.

Since moving here I've had to deliver packages dropped at my house that weren't mine. I've had packages delivered in my ditch and all around my house. Recently I've had 2 packages delivered God knows where but it wasn't my house . Is it that hard to read the address labels?

You do not deliver the mail for the days that you only deliver packages. This is the 3rd time the mail I was due on Saturday was not delivered on Tuesday. This is not the first time this has happened. Your doing a very poor job of taking your responsibly seriously. This time you have failed to deliver a disability check that was identified in your App I have on my phone. You are a very unacceptable organization.

Have had a package at the Madison facility since May 18th. It is now May 22nd and it has still not been delivered. Very frustrating. This package would fit in my mailbox. This should have went out with the regular carrier. I used to be a T6, what happened to efficient customer service?

So, it is now Wednesday, May 25th. This is my second review on the delivery of a package that has been sitting at the station since Wednesday, May 18th. Will it be delivered today? This is crazy! Today I finally have time to possibly stop at the station to see if I can just pick it up. Can't wait to stand in line for 30 minutes to be told it's out with the carrier, then the carrier "forget's" to deliver it at the end of the day.

USPS has become another waste of taxpayers money. 5 (all from amazon) packages delivered to my house over 3 weeks time. received one of them. Security cameras show they were not delivered at all. none of them small enough to fit in a mail box. but that is what the location states. Think some fraud waste and abuse going on?

We are frustrated not only by the inability of USPS workers to accurately deliver letters and parcels accurately and clearly addressed to our residence. If not for our honest neighbors, we could’ve suffered significant monetary losses due to our shipments going to the wrong addresses. Are USPS workers required to read numbers and street names or do they just guess where letters and parcels are supposed to go. It’s requires way to much effort for USPS customers to lodge complaints about the horrible service we are receiving. I’ve continued my Congressman about this matter and I suggest that all of you who are experiencing similar issues to ours should contact their Congressional representative and complain. The fact that no “postal employee” reads these comments is symptomatic of an organization that could care less about quality of service.

This month I have mailed several graduation cards. The card to Jacksonville Florida took 2 and1/2 weeks. The card to Argyle Texas has still not arrived and it has been over 3 weeks. What is going on? I mailed a card today to Harvest. I will be interested to see how long it takes!!

I live in postal code 35756. In all my years (65) I have never seen so many days where the mail is not delivered. I am not talking about bad weather days. Today was 70 degrees and mail is not delivered. If it was just today I would not even think about writing this review. I get a daily email of the items supposedly being delivered that day and many times it comes the next day or even later. I do not blame in any way the letter carriers. I do question the management at Madison Alabama post office. I have lived here since July of last year. Mail very rarely arrives before 6 PM and most days it is closer to 8 PM. This is not normal for any place I have ever lived. Since I have lived here there has been at least 10 days where mail has not been delivered at all. Should I expect this to ever change?? This seems unacceptable to me.

I placed my mail on hold 6/12 - 6/15 Confirmation #: CAH378343842. I returned home to find all my mail in my mail box. Then as I was unloading my car the mail ran and again put mail in my box on a Sunday. Last night 6/15/20 my mail ran at 8:45 pm. Who is going out at 9:00 at night to get their mail. What is wrong with this post office???

Overload of mail lately. Postal workers are humans too and though there are expectations, the pandemic and crisis taking place in the world right now are calling for people not showing up to work and others having to go the extra mile to try to get the work done. Please try to understand they try their best. The carriers and the clerks.

The Madison Post Office is extremely professional and helpful. I had placed a catalog order during the Holidays and receive notices by email that my packaged delivered on 5 Dec. It is now the 18 of Dec and I hadn't receive my package. I tried call Huntsville post office and Redstone Post office and was unable to get an answer. I called Madison Post office and they answer the call right away. The voice on the other end was extremely friendly, I explained to Chris why I wall calling and provided him with the tracking number. After pulling up the number he explained that the package was sent to the Huntsville Post Office and the Postal location for the area that I lived. Chris also told me he would try and find out what information he could for me, explaining sometime the GPS for Madison might not provide all the detailed information. Chris was able to give me detail that I did not have and he set my mind at ease. His professionalism is commendable, his customer service skills and the knowledge of his job is outstanding. I want to thank him for his patience, concern and the help he provide to me. He is a great access and should be noted for a job well done.

This is two times in a row that I have had items not delivered claiming no secure location. I order items weekly and all other carriers ie.. Fedex, UPS leave the items on the front deck without a problem. My house is fenced with gate open and surveillance cameras with only one way in and one way out. Further, my wife is retired and usually home so could you just please leave the packages on the deck. it makes know sense to pay for postage and have to go and pick it up!

I failed to go to the post office today, Tuesday 11-15-2027, to get a stop delivery. I will be out of town for about a week. I do not have anyone to collect my mail. This has been a quick response. Please stop my mail until I come by the post office and pick it up. Thank you.

African American female that works counter consumate professional, consistently. Remainder of staff that interacts with public, overall mediocre to acceptable. Mail too often placed in wrong residential mail boxes. Neighbors too often receive each others mail. Nearly each time I visit the Hughes Rd facility I hear a wide range of complaints at the customer service counter

Unfortunately the vendor I purchased an item from used the FedEx/USPS shipping system Without a doubt this is the most archaic and unreliable joint shipping operation in the world. Went to the US Post Office to ask if the package had arrived, with tracking number in hand and dealt first with a worthless clerk who indicated that there was nothing she could do... read: I'm to lazy and/or stupid or maybe a combination of both. I asked to speak to a manager and was sent to a separate window. After waiting a few mins I was told he was on the phone and it might be a few more mins. I told them that I would wait. Finally a male version of the clerk appeared and started mouthing that they have a thousand packages in the back... I indicated I just wanted to see if he could track by the tracking number if the package had arrived at the Madison Post Office, his response... "He did not have time to do that." Yea that must take a whole two mins to type in the tracking number. Needless to say I will NEVER utilize the post office again if I can at all help it. They are a bunch of blue collar welfare recipients, sucking on the governments tit and providing sub standard service. Maybe Mr Trump will consider closing them down as well and/or privatizing the entire operation.

I had insured package they say they tried to deliver at 3:59 p.m. yesterday. I was home that day from noon on and inside my house at the time. I called this morning and USPS guy at Madison said "GPS showed they were in your driveway at that time." Me, "NO ONE KNOCKED ON MY DOOR. Aren't they supposed to do that?" He confirmed they were. I had looked online and it said a notice was left. I told USPS guy there was no notice on my door. He responded, "Oh a notice wouldn't be left on your door -- it would be left in your box." Well, EVERY OTHER TIME I've legitimately missed a delivery that needed signature, it is left on the DOOR. So I looked in my mailbox and the notice was there. It has tape on it and it's been taped to other letters, not the door. There is no way the carrier knocked on my door. I would have heard it. They hire LAZY DELIVERY carriers. USPS does not care. They're not reading or responding to complaints. This must be a USPS site. I hate to verify I was not a robot FOUR TIMES. Indicative of the ways of USPS.

I can not believe the level of poor customer service this (Madison Hughes Rd) Post Office gives. After months of missed packages I finally spoke with the Idiot of a manager who claimed It's Amazon.com fault for promising Sunday deliveries. He then proceeded to trash talk Amazon.com. I interrupted the conversation to explain to him that I'm recording the phone call and he hung up. I contacted Amazon to D prioritize this local post office from delivering packages to my residence . Poor customer service, poor management issues, poor help all around will not use this local post office again for my packaging business.

I am very disappoint that there has been no communication on the 24 lobby being closed. I don't always get to go check my PO box during normal operating hours for the post office. My irregular schedule is one of the reasons that I not only started using a PO box but select the Madison Hughes Road post office as the location that I would use. For the last two weeks when I tried to get my mail, there is a sign on the door saying that the 24 hour lobby is closed due to maintenance. There is no word on when it will be open again.

I am sick of my mail being delivered at 8-9:30 at night. Either the carrier is overloaded or irresponsible. This should not happen in America. I don't expect an answer as they don't seem to care. I live on Mose chapel in Madison, Al.

I waited a month for a back order. Last week tracking said it had been delivered. I was at home, practically, looking out the door every hour or so. Nothing. Called PO for 3 days. We will look and call you back. No calls. Third day talked to supervisor. Carrier on vacation that day. Substitute delivered... wrong address. They went to address and found package sitting outside. For the past week had been pouring rain. Brought it to me holding the box together. Fortunately, item was wrapped in plastic. Wow. Tried to send a very small package last week. Needed a piece of tape about 8" long. Nope. "We have tape for sale." Had to go buy a roll and bring it back. Wasn't giving them my money. Ridiculous.

One time I watched as the carrier spent a lot of time in front of my mailbox, then later found the note she left saying she tried to deliver a package and I wasn't home! Today I had a package too large to fit in the box and left a note asking her to pick it up from the porch. Nope. She delivered the mail and ignored the package.

Today is the THIRD time in just the past two months I've sat at home waiting for a package that needed a signature to be delivered only to have NO ONE come to my door. Then I get a text message update saying they tried to deliver it but no one was here, and a delivery attempt notification shoved in my mailbox with the rest of my mail. Worst postal service I've experienced in the numerous places I've lived in this country!

I truly understand why the postal service is scared of closing. There is always some type of delay that you can't get ahold to anyone to find out about. Things I really need always arrives days later or after 5:30pm when all other days when I recieve nothing, they show up before 1pm. I would rather all my mail with tracking come fedex and even ups if needed. Packages with tracking through the postal service is just fustrating. I don't know why they even offer it

My letter is undeliverable as addressed yet I send priority mail there two times a month. Now I cant even get through to speak to anyone I've been calling since 8am this morning and it rang then but now the office is open all I get is a busy tone... What do they just leave the phone off the hook while their there. Love my local post office and totally hate Madison's that's sad. This isn't the first time either last time my priority tracking said it was delivered but the business didn't have it, and I was told that the carrier confirmed it was in their mail box all weekend and thanked for wasting their time.
