We absolutely LOVE our mail carrier Dan! I always see him working hard rain or shine, snow and slippery roads! We’re so grateful that he really takes care of our mail, delivering all our special and important packages. If Dan (and Kat) are delivering, we know we need not worry about anything. We trust them completely! He even takes the time to help with questions or just to say HI! And actually going into the post office, I’ve never had a bad experience. They’ve all been very friendly and helpful!!! I’ve been lucky to get Julie half the time and she’s great!!

The customer service at North Pole Post Office is the worst, package that say they have arrived are never in the boxes on time. Try to go to the counter for assistance, all you get is rudeness and excuses. They refuse to go back and check. They prefer you just go the f**k away !!

This is the most piss poor excuse of a post office. They never answer a phone , the carriers are a joke , mail is always late and when you show up in person all you get is excuses as to why your mail is not being delivered, never a good reason for their service.

I have ordered several items to be delivered to my house only to be left a notice in my mailbox. The Amazon notification says my mailbox was “full” despite having nothing in it at all. The laziness from the postal employees is a small glimpse at why fedex and ups are putting the USPS out of business, literally a block away my packages could have been delivered without issue. Talking to other people in the area this is not uncommon, it’s hit or miss what gets delivered and what you have to go out of your way to pick up. What am I paying you for?

I'm trying to call the PO to see what happens to a package if I transposed the street address numbers but the phone just rings and rings. Is there another number?

I have reserved a PO Box at the North Pole branch. I am relocating from a foreign overseas environment and need the forwarding address ASAP. I have called and called, to no avail; there is more than an hour wait for the national number and I am paying international charges. Also, with the quarantine in place, I will not be able to stop in within the 30 days to activate it. Can someone else do this for me? Please advise, Janneane

this is the worst post office I have ever heard about. They use any excuse not to deliver the mail and when you complain they act dumb and do nothing. Also they never answer the phone. Everyone there should be fired and a new crew hired that wants to work. L wish I could give them a minus 5 star

I couldn't agree more. I have lived here in NP for 19 years and have NEVER had even one of my calls picked up. Beats me why they even have a telephone. This must be where they send delinquent employees instead of firing them. If only there were something that could be done, but, unfortunately, like other gov't agencies, they police themselves. And they do that about as well as the provide USPS services.

Nothing stops the USPS except mail? Your service is much less than poor, no slips being left in the mail box (which should be renamed to no mail box) you don’t even attempt to deliver a package period!! The only way we know we may have a package is the sender let’s us know. After reviewing all the fake delivery attempts and speaking to the clerk at McPeaks I’m convinced you have no future in Alaska. Convenient excuses that in truth are bold face lies are not going to be accepted any longer.......cats coming out of the bag tonight and the USPSOIG can do some investigations now. Hopefully this will help you see the light and begin to do your job.

The WORST, I'm so tired of the fact that the carrier refuses to attempt to ring the bell. Every time puts a slip in box and I have to find the time around my work to get to the post office to pick up what she is to lazy to do as in her job. Then once to post office they are rude! As if I have interrupted their personal time. They are always giving me someone else mail even after I state that NO one by that name lives at this address she will just leave it in the box. North pole Alaska IS the WORST USPS. I cant believe Santa even receives his mail.

Worst mail carriers in the USA. They delivered me people's mail from other streets with the same house numbers. I was getting people's bank cards... My mail gets delivered somewhere else all the time. They don't deliver packages and then say I wasn't home. I complained on my mail lady and then mysteriously all of my mail stopped being delivered for the rest of winter. They said my mailbox was blocked by snow. Which is bullcrap I own a plow truck and keep it maintained. TLDR: They are all lazy mail thieves that pretty much collect a free paycheck

Alaskan USPS mail service has bungled SIX priority mailing of mine this summer alone!! I'm talking about taking six weeks to deliver a priority package which had cost $79.00 to MAIL!!! - totally loosing others etc.! I've lived in Alaska 40 years and if the North Pole Post office is not the worst in the country then we have a much bigger national problem than I realized! Years ago Alaska mail service in general and North Pole specifically was actually really good but in the last five years of so they have deteriorated into the third world - tin pot category - in other words - MAYBE YOU GET YOUR MAIL AND MAYBE YOU DON"T! As a people we need to find out a way to get these incompetent bumblers (the entire USPS) fired - strip the current USPS of their exclusive charter on US mail service and give the contracts to private companies who can get the job done! Alaskans as well as all Americans should not have to put up with this institutionalized level of incompetence!

lousy hours rude unhelpful staff mail wasn't delivered all winter due to being on a "contract route " and if there is the slightest bit of snow the contractor doesn't have to deliver. which means for those of us that work for a living during normal hours only get mail if you go and get it on Saturday during their rather short hours of business as closing at 5 makes it almost impossible to get there by close.

It seems there is a theme here. The post office doesn't want to deliver the mail. I too live within a half mile of the end of the road and can't get them to let me put my mailbox at my home even after we have had our mail stolen a minimum of three times (that we know of) and had it vandalized. I have a business at my home and have cameras that could even help catch the person or persons that are doing this. I have been dealing with them for 3 months waiting for people to return calls and get answers, still waiting, but they still took my mail off hold and are now returning it to sender. Great doing business with you post office. NOT!!!!!!!!!!

This is the worst post office. I try and use fed ex so I don't have to deal with these people. I never have packages delivered to the door even though somebody is home my driveway is less than 1/2 a mile away I'm only two houses down! When I go to pick up my packages I cant because they are still in the truck if your are not going to deliver them why put them in your truck! Also the pick up and drop off is the same line and these people move as slow as possible so I wait in line for almost an hour every time just to pick up a package and there is no bathroom in there great!

Our mailbox is about 1/8th of a mile from our house. The delivery person that is subcontracted out by USPS will write a pink slip and drop it in out mailbox and stating that we weren't home when we were - without even attempting to deliver the mail to our door. I have had one time where they crushed the corners of a box in order to fit it into our mailbox - it was very difficult to remove. They have also left boxes right in front of our garage door only to be run over by our vehicle when we are leaving because we have no idea it's sitting there. I know mail delivery can be hectic, but what standard are these contractors supposed to be held to? I just keep thinking they don't want to get out of their vehicle and do any manual labor. It's not like the front door or the driveway is inaccessible or blocked. Just today we got a pink slip while we were home, I went to pick it up only to realize that they say it's available for pickup tomorrow (because they are still driving around with it in the truck). So if you have the room in your truck and you know you have all of the packages and letters that you need to deliver why not take the extra 1 minute to drop the package off at my house instead of hauling it around your entire route only to let me drive to the post office and pick it up the next day? Still waiting for a call from the post office, I really want to know what standard they hold their contractor to and what kind of service I should expect because I have never had service like this from any other post office.

I have never had to pick up my packages, and I find the ladies in this post office to be very helpful. I don't know what Scott expects. The postal services charges some of the lowest rates to ship. He probably goes into town on a regular basis, so why not just choke it up and get with the program. Quit picking on the ladies, they are doing the best they can…sometimes we expect them to make up there own rules in order to make us happy. When you look into it, they are many rules that are passed down to them that they must, and I mean must, abide with. And many of these rules are in the interest of public safety and security.Scott, must have traveled quite bait to be able to call this post office "the worst in the nation". Calm down Scott, and put yourself in these 'employees' place.

This is the worst post office in the nation. they claim we are 1/2 mile from our mailbox when we are not and will not bring our packages (over 10 a month easily) to our door so we must drive and pick up our packages the day after they should be delivered. Even though they wont deliver to us and know it they still put the packages in the delivery truck so they are banged around and crushed under other packages all day. They wont let us pick them up without the pink slip from the mail person even though my name and address can be proven buy my state issued ID. The women who work there are rude and i mean rude. my post office box is at the end of our road when a mail person comes 2 feet from my driveway everyday. The post office is a buisness and my deliverys pay more than a few salaries im sure. I will try everything in my power to not use the post office or give them a cent for postage for the rest of my life. The peope in this office are a disgrace to the postal service and have told me personaly that im lucky to even have a post office and to be greatful for whatever service they decide to give me. As if thats an excusse for them not to do their jobs. I wish they would close this post office and everyone working there lose their jobs... if i have to pick up my packages anyway mine as well go to fairbanks.
