So I bought wedding invites that were seal and send. On the website it stated they were standard sized and all I need to do is put on a standard stamp. However, every other post office had no machine issues and told me they were standard size and none of the invites gave them issues. Unfortunately, this post office returned many and claimed we needed to pay another 20 cents per invite due to a corner or size. My invites are standard as I found on the US Postal website. My mom went in and they were pretty "unfriendly" about it and stated that we should be happy our guests didn't have to pay and that they were sending to return to address. I have guests from many states and cities all of whom had no problem. So why did we have problems at the Thorp Post Office. I even had my mother in law check our invites since she used to work at a post office. Not sure just very confused what on Earth is going on. I already spend money on these invites after even the company a local post office and everyone reassured me they were good to go. Lucky for me my mom is hand delivering some and paying the extra 20 cents but I can't help feel there is some "fishy business" going on since its the only one of almost 100 post offices that had issues or are the other post offices just going above and beyond.
