Postal Locations

On 12 Apr '19 I went to the Slinger, WI post office and filled out a "stop mail delivery", to be effective from 16 Apr till 7 May. Our son occasionally stops by our house to cut our grass and water our house plants. He has told us that our mail delivery has NOT stopped and our mail box is full of our mail. On 30 Apr I called the Slinger post office to inform them of this unacceptable failure on their part. They disavowed any responsibility and referred me to the Hartford, WI post office. I called that office and talked with a supervisor named Wendy. She explained that the regular delivery person "may" have been off and that the substitute deliver possibly wasn't informed. "Maybe", "possibly", are EXCUSES, not reasons for this unacceptable customer service! Nor is the fact that I fill out a request at one post office and the responsibility is "nonchalantly" transferred to another post office without even informing me at the time of request. I cannot begin to express my outrage and complete disappointment in the shoddy approach these post offices have taken in protecting my personal mail.
