This morning I brought in a pre-paid (postage) package to the Powers Lake, Wisconsin post office to have scanned and delivered. The first comment the Postmaster said to me was that I should be bringing the package to the Twin Lakes post office since that is where my address was from and she would not get "credit" for taking the package at her location. I thought this was odd as I always purchase my postage from home and have brought in packages to their facility in the past without an issue and also to Lake Geneva, New Munster, Paddock Lake and even Richmond, IL another state and never have I been given a hard time by any employee. They always take the package, scan the bar code and give me a receipt that the package was dropped off. After a whole back and forth with her she finally agreed to scan the package but refused to give me a receipt. I told her in the past the lady at their counter always supplied me with a receipt and she told me "she is doing it incorrectly" and she would not do it that way. In all the time it took her to continue her scoldings and rage at me she could have hand written out a receipt 10 times. I left with my package and headed into Lake Geneva and stopped at the post office there, the girl at the counter could not have been more pleasant. Took the package from me, scanned the package from me and asked if I needed a receipt and said Happy New Year. I was out the door in under 3 minutes. The Postmaster at the Powers Lake Wisconsin location should be ashamed of herself!!
