Terrible! Key to parcel box was lost by mail carrier and Dylan, supervisor, told me I had lost it! I stated my package was still in locked box with no way for me to open it so obviously I didn’t have the key. He called me a liar and stated no mail or packages until I gave back the key. I can’t give back a key I do not have. So far no mail for me. I am furious!
Yet again, mail not delivered, this time another package, no idea where it was delivered too, but not my house. Seems like every week we either don’t get a mail piece delivered or better yet, we get mail delivered from a completely different “city” address. Not to mention, they were from the DMV! (I did stick post-it notes on each stating wrong address AGAIN, please deliver to the correct one!)—I hope they did. It makes me wonder what important information have we not received! It wouldn’t be terrible if this were a once in a blue moon, but this is every week and has been going on for about 3 years now! I’ve now started using informed delivery and each time something doesn’t show up, I report it. Today I sent an email to customer service for the package that was incorrectly delivered, still wondering where my package is, hope it will show up tomorrow. This is your JOB, get it together! Maybe the USPS needs to start re-training it’s employees, or maybe find new ones (sorry to say, but if you can’t do what you were hired to do, maybe it’s time to find something you can do correctly) I wouldn’t be writing this ridiculously long post, if this only happens once or twice a year. This is happening at LEAST once a week, something needs to be done USPS! Get your s*** together.
Arrived at the P.O. in Elkhorn, WI an hour after Lobby Hours on Saturday. There was a note in our P.O. Box stating that there was too much mail to fit in it and I had to ask a clerk for assistance. I knocked a the door and Amy was still there. She cheerfully got our mail for us.
Thanks for your great service!
Mailman leaves the door open too too many times and I'm upstairs and now I had surgery and I can't go down to shut it or this happens when I'm at Work, and my heat has escaped and my house is freezing plus when they do this in the summit all kinds of bugs come in
I use the USPS for a lot of mail transactions. The majority of Postal facilities I use are knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. This home town facility is probably my favorite. Every counter agent there is knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful. They are all always friendly, and polite. I have witnessed many customers who are rude to a clerk yet the clerk has always responded with courtesy. Many time far better than I would have. Mail I send has always arrived in tact and in a relatively short time. My mail carrier is exceptional. Mail arrives regularly, correctly, and promptly. Amazingly, I have received mail addressed to only my first or last name - no street address, just Elkhorn. Never the less, even with incomplete information, the people at this facility manage to deliver it to me. Remarkable! I try to follow USPS regulations as clearly as I understand them and do not mind answering a few questions about packages or such. I think this protects my mail as well as the workers. I also keep my dog inside around mail time. I think this protects the carrier, my own liability, and my dog. Although he has never bitten anyone, he IS an animal and I just prefer to not be open to potentially disastrous situations. Mail delivery is a privilege, not a right. We in the US are lucky to have such a dependable, trustworthy system!
My mail carrier had the audacity to tell me that I COULD NOT let my dog, (the biggest chicken of a lab that you'll ever come by) out of my house when she was delivering mail. She immediately stated that even though I know your dog and have been here numerous times you just can't let her out. She clearly stated I COULD NOT, not that I shouldn't. I understand that there are numerous dog attacks, I get it. I WILL NOT however tolerate anyone who comes onto my property that I own and pay taxes on to tell me when I can and can not allow my dog out of my home!
I feel I must respond to the negative comments on reviews of the Elkhorn Post Office service. I have never in my many years of being served by this post office had a rude service employee experience.
I have seen customers be rude because they were either upset to wait in line during busy times or had to fill out a form or answer questions that are part of the process. Customers must also be respectful and participate in the process.
I am not saying that postal employees or customers do not have days where they are sensitive or upset. We must all think about how we handle situations and treat others.
I do not see how station that as a customer you will never set foot in this post office again. These customers should have requested the manager on site or the post master there to discuss the issue if they feel that upset.
There was a problem in their system with pickup, one call and everything was sorted out. I don't remember who I did talk with, but my problems and concerns has been resolved and package got picked up this time.
Excellent Customer Service. Keep it up that way!
Great customer service! I needed mail delivery suspended due to travel and I made one phone call and everything was taken care of by Peggy. I didn't have to come in to their office at all. They did it for me over the phone.
Thanks!
The awful customer service employee, Angie, at the Elkhorn Post office is the most calloused, ill mannered horror of a human being I've ever had the displeasure of coming in contact with. Angie gave the woman in front of me such a hard time that the woman just stopped speaking! This poor woman's husband had to take over the transaction! When it was my turn to interact with Angie my blood was already boiling, having watched her treat another human being so horrifically. After personally dealing with her rudeness for 3 minutes I took my things and walked out and went to a different post office to mail my things. Angie has no business being employed where customer service skills are a requirement. I will NEVER step foot in that Post Office again.
I have been to many Post Offices in the Milwaukee vicinity and this one is by far the worst one I have ever stepped foot into. They are all rude at this location. I will drive to Delavan or Waukesha before I ever step foot into this one ever again. I don't know their names but I totally agree with you.
