Travis our mail carrier has decided he can’t walk a few feet to our front door to deliver our packages, since we have a locked mail box. Some of my pkgs are my moms medications, Amazon and others. Traves claim he with Covid just doesn’t have enough time to get all the mail and all the packages to everyone staying home ordering. He wants me to put a plastic container with a rock in it and put a huge label on it ParcelPost so he doesn’t have to get out of his mail truck. This way anyone that drives by can steel my stuff. He is cool as a cucumber not to mention a menupulacter when it comes to his bosses At the sequim post office. He states they will tell you one thing but they really don’t know anything. He finished with “File a hardship program so he can get paid to walk to my front door”. Ah that was it in a nut shell. He CAN walk to my front door, if he gets more money ! But when I filled out those brown notices he ignores them and never brings me my packages and tells me I’m to pick them up. I cannot because I’m a full time caregiver and cannot leave my 96 year old dementia mother trying to get a caregiver but on a waiting list. Terrible

If your meds don’t fit in the box he is required to walk to your door. If he doesn’t; call the postmaster and complain. If they do fit in your box you can file for a hardship to get to the door delivery. He doesn’t get more money for that, but with over 500 deliveries per route, and an overwhelming amount of parcels it can slow down the deliveries for the route.

WORST POST OFFICE AWARD GOES TO.....Again our mail carrier has suddenly discovered that our house is “inaccessible”. Even though a dump truck is able to regravel our road and large driveway. This happens in the winter as “No Safe Turnaround” which literally translates into “it’s dark and I want to go home”. In the spring it’s, “No Access To Delivery Location” which means “yeah, I just don’t feel like bringing this package to your house”. And, as an extra bonus gift, you just send my package BACK, just so ya let me know ya can. So, you are voted by your fellow members of this community (as you can see, there are many) WORST POST OFFICE IN AMERICA-SEQUIM!

Right, yep it’s this younger generation that has entitlement written all over it, they are too ladzy to get out of their trucks to walk to your front door and deliver your package. Oh but he will do it if you apply for a hardship program so he can get paid more to walk to your front door per his statement. I’m sorry you are also going through this.

Very pleasant staff. Just wish the post master would deliver to those living in Gardiner on the south side of US Hiway 101. They deliver to those living in Gardiner on the north side of US Hiway 101, those of us living on the south side must go pick our mail up, that is not right and favors those living on the north side of 101.

I don't understand how mail can be received at an address everyday for years and yet when I need a package delivered by a specific date, I get a message saying my driveway was inaccessible. It most certainly was not. The rest of my mail was delivered that same day without incident, address is clearly marked.

Why will the post office not investigate non-code mailboxes? We have asked again and again about a mailbox placed on our property.

I am very angry at the postal carrier on my route. Once again he knowingly gave a package for my home to the neighbor. The package had to be scanned and we got confirmation that it was delivered but we didnt get it. We wrote to the neighbor about it and it showed up on our front doorstep opened. As far as I'm concerned that is theft by the mail carrier because he took our package and gave it to someone else on purpose. I am sick and tired of this happening.

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" Well, Cathy our postal carrier follows the Postal Motto to the extreme. Today, during a foot of snow, there she was driving up to our house to deliver a package to us.....and even managed a smile while getting out in the cold to hand me our package. Wow!

Excellent service. We are moving to the area and had to establish a delivery address. First, they actually answered the phone--that doesn't happen in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Second, they understood and took care of our needs. I read some of the previous comments; and trust me, other post offices mess up delivery frequently.

I receive SSI payments from a payee in Port Angeles. Last month (May) I was to receive 2 checks on the 1st and 15th. My checks were put into the wrong mail box at my apartment complex (I live in #6 they went to #5). I finally got them from this neighbor on the 15th of this month and they had been opened. What can I do about this?

This is genuinely the worst post office I have ever dealt with and I have lived all over the nation. It’s a joke. Mail isn’t delivered to the proper address ever. I have currently lived three places in Sequim and each time have received a neighbors mail and vice versa. If you go inside the post office to pick up an important package you are greeted with insensitive uncaring individuals with absolutely no sense of urgency or pride. Many times I have received packages from family clearly labeled and packaged as fragile and almost every time it’s been sent to sequim Post office it has been broken. I can’t avoid this post office as I don’t live under a rock and shop online, and they constantly frustrate me and lack and kind of quality in their only purpose- just get the mail where it needs to be. Just use fed ex or have it sent to Port Angeles because your garunteed a headache if it crosses the Sequim post office.

I don't understand how on one day I can witness the mail being delivered at 1:30 p.m. and the next day it has not been delivered at 5:30 p.m. How can there possibly be a 4 hour difference on any given route on any given day? In a time when mail theft is common place you cannot confidently send mail from your box and you cannot be confident that you have picked up your mail in the evening and not left it to be stolen during the night. You cannot have confidence in the postal service.

Oct. 25, 2018 As of 8:26 pm, NO MAIL! What happened to route 3? I am a former mail carrier and this did not happen. Who ever is running the Sequim Post Office, should go back delivering mail.

Often times we received others mail and had to drive to their homes or business and give their mail to them. Often times we would check our mail box at 6:30 or later with no mail in the box only to take our dog for a walk later and find our mail has been delivered much later when complaints made to Post Master we were informed all mail carriers delivered their mail by 6:00 PM. Basically calling me a lair and had no idea what was going on with his employees. Ten days ago we went inside the post office as we sold our home filled at a forwarding form and hold mail form as well. We received mail the next two days as the employee for the post office did not do their job and our mail was not stopped I know this as I called the post office three days after the hold mail form was given and it was not on record. I was told that (the one who is often late with mail and puts mail in the wrong boxes) our mail carrier would go to our box and retrieve the mail for us. Now 8 days later and no mail has been forwarded us to Spokane Valley Washington. This includes an important check that was mailed 07-21-2018 from Nebraska as it is somewhere is the US Postal Service Cragmire of mail. Worst service ever. The employees inside the post office the carrier who ust have Federal Secured jobs do not care and it shows.

SEQUIM WA the parking lot is far, far overdue for filling holes and seal coat. The pot holes are always full of water and mud, so getting access to cars is a challenge for customers. I use the Port Angeles P.O. whenever possible to avoid this Big Mess. When might the parking lot be repaired? The employees are very sympathetic about this, but have no power to correct it. Sequim has excellent roads leading to the P.O. It is the Worst parking lot in town. USPS pride!

The map shows incorrect location of Sequim PO. The Sequim PO is actually 1-1/2 blocks south of Washington Street, which is the main street of Sequim.
