If I could give zero stars, I would. EVERY, and I mean EVERY package that has been sent through this facility gets delayed for days on end!! This facility is where packages go to die!!!!

More than once they have put their little passive aggressive we need 4feet of room to access your mailbox when I have been six or more feet from it. Clearly driving the truck or measuring we’re not job requirements

Terrible. No one answers phone? Just glad you don’t deliver in Edgewood. I feel sorry for local residents who have t deal with this. They have a package of mine there, but they claim they sent it! Um, no you did not. And please get rid of the drop off option.?

The staff at the Des Moines PO on 216th Ave S is ALWAYS friendly, efficient, and very helpful. I am amazed at their patience with customer questions or long lines. They move everyone through quickly, but never fail to ask if you need anything else. I should also point out that the mail carriers are reliable and friendly too!

Why does no one answer the phone at the 216th location in Des Moines? It rang for over 3 minutes and then disconnected. Customer service under Dejoy? My question is about the new fee for my PO Box. Why did it jump from $68.00 in January, 2021 to $102.00 starting July 31?. That’s over a 40% increase and is outrageous, doubly so for a senior citizen on a fixed income.

Des Moines Washington is not closed. We are not in Iowa, and whoever posted this needs a geography lesson.

Information on Post Office in Des Moines WA 98198 is INCORRECT. It states PERMANENTLY CLOSED, but this is NOT TRUE. I just got counter service there 10 minutes ago! Address is 2003 216th St.

This is the second time I’ve paid for a 2 day postage. Did it get there yesterday? No! Did it get there today? No! It’s to my lawyers. Do I need them to look into this problem? I really think I do.

I mailed a cell phone back to the retailer on 8/9/18. To date the retailer has not received the phone. Two weeks ago I called and spoke to Pamela at the Des Moines PO and told her my dilemma. I gave her the tracking number and she said that all the mail that was sent on that day were being held in a warehouse somewhere in Florida. She didn't know why but would get back to me. It is almost impossible to call the post office and get anyone to answer the phone or all you is a busy signal. To date, no one has called me back. It has been nearly six weeks since I mailed the phone and no one can tell me why it has been delayed. The retailer will not give me a replacement phone until the old one arrives. To say the least, this is one of the most frustrating issues I have ever encountered. Staff at the Des Moines PO need to respond to my request for answers and in an expeditious manner. My next step is to go into the office and they will not be able to ignore me or this matter any longer.

Every time I've called, during 20 years using this facility, here during business hours someone has answered pretty fast. If they got it as far as FL perhaps you can call FL to find out what is going on with your package.

TERRIBLE! If you move from Des Moines and expect your mail to be forwarded....it won't be! Went back to our old mail box ONE MONTH after moving to find numerous pieces of mail and bills sitting in the mailbox, NOT forwarded as we requested! We changed addresses with all of our financial institutions but it takes a month or so for the records to be updated so some mail still went to the old address. We called and spoke to Pamela at the Des Moines post office and she was NOT helpful at all. Would not give ANY information and asked if WE told the mail carrier to update our forward request....are you kidding me? Do your job Pamela! Find out why your employees are not doing their job! She said there are new letter carriers and they don't know how to do their job...are you kidding me?!? We filled out the formal address change request over a month ago and our mail is STILL being delivered to an unattended mailbox in the middle of Des Moines! Unacceptable!!!!

This is probably the most inefficient post office i have ever dealt with. They cut off my mail service and then there phone is always busy. I cannot think of a worst service. I have also waited 50 minutes on the 1800 #. Are my taxes going to this service? I am sad that for 2 days no one has answered any phone call.

28701 6th Place S, Des Moines, WA 98198. The board tasked me to ask the post office"Need to check with the postal service to see if our mailboxes are up to code and if there is an option for a package box to be added so packages are not left on doorsteps or out in the open by the mailboxes"

These guys are doing a terrible job of keeping up with the increased holiday volume. They don't answer the phone and they say they attempt deliver when they actually haven't. No notice left, nothing... no one answers the phone if you try to call the local office, no one answers at the toll free number without a 30 minute hold time after arguing with a computer for 10 min. Terrible service!!

I've been a PO Box customer at this post office branch for decades. I have had countless dealings with the window clerks over those many years, seeing many come and go. I have never had a problem with anyone. I've found them to be courteous and helpful in every situation. Of course, I treat them with respect when I approach them. A recently sent bill from a company performing work for me, arrived with a partial box number in the address. Someone went the extra mile to figure out what box it belonged in and delivered it. These guys rock! If they were looking for an excuse to be lazy, they could have just sent the bill back to the sender. They provided "service" above and beyond the basic postal regulations and I appreciate that! Thank you, Des Moines Post Office! In today's business world, it's service that keeps you in business. These guys deliver!

Why do you even list a phone number when no one ever answers the phone. I have called repeatedly. 9 rings, click and phone hangs up after a couple seconds. I'm trying to find out if your location accepts pre-paid UPS packages. Some post offices do, some don't.

I have nothing but problems with this post office. They leave extremely rude notes if they deem your mailbox full, they mark you as a vacated home if you don't pick up mail for four days, and today they marked us as an undeliverable address when we have been here for over two years. My little boy has been expecting a package all week and now I have to deal with them to find it but of course their phone number doesn't work. Ridiculous.

Used old box to send something. Was expecting to pay flat rate shipping of $12. But because the old used box had the words "domestic rate c" on the side of the box the clerk charged me $42 because of the wording and refused to let me use a magic marker to block out those words. ITS A BOX. They ripped me off for $30 because the USED box had some words on it.
