Postal Locations

I don't live in Barre but in Montpelier. We lost our post office in the flood. Our delivery has been very bad since then. I am handicapped and order everything online, including my stamps and medical supplies. This week these were scanned delivered but not delivered to me! Kathy the Postmaster in BARRE contacted my Montpelier Postmaster and got him to find these items and deliver them to me! She even said I could call HER back if HE does not follow through! Thank you, Kathy! Good job!

Starting this winter I've gone 5 or 6 days with no mail even though I know I have mail coming through the email notification. Also they just dump packages in the snow beside the mailbox rain, snow any weather. I ask the guy what's changed he said he was South Barre Postmaster doing us a favor

I am very upset. I tried to call and no one answered and was disconnect 5 x's.i just wanted to know how much my P. O. Box cost a month. There are no listing.

They have stopped delivering mail to an address and we can't get through calling them. It rings and rings then goes to a fast busy signal! People are waiting for Fema checks and now we can't even get them!

I understand the post office is under staffed but we have not received mail in 6 days (4 days being week days), this is ridiculous and unacceptable. Noone answers a phone and when you go into the post office in person they tell you your mail is on the truck for delivery that day yet nothing comes. The app reads mail and packages out for delivery so where the heck are they? Its amazing that people are paid to provide a service that doesn't exist. Very disappointed in our postal service. 😔

this post office is terrible, put mail out in the box and it is sometimes not picked up for days. I have had packages out delivery and at the end of the day they end back at the post office with a note that it is being held for pick up. You can not call the office because they never answer the phone.

Have called 3 times today; let ring about 40 times each time and then just get a busy signal. Was expecting package that tracking said was out for delivery yesterday and was not delivered. Now package shows available for pick up yesterday. Where do these people come from and how did they ever gain employment?

I'm supposed to be getting newspaper deliveries through the postal service. The carrier either forgets to deliver & then I get two papers following day. This has happened frequently although I seem to always get the requests for donations. We need to prioritize deliveries

The carrier was clearly drunk or something. He was babbling to himself and stumbling over the curb. I hope to God he wasn't driving a mail truck, but I didn't see one nearby. I hope he got all the mail delivered to the right boxes.

USPS SUCKS!!!! Never answer there phones I’m guessing they just keep the phone unplugged bc I’ve been calling constantly for the past hour and around 4:10 the call goes to disconnected. Horrible customer support I went in the other day for a package that said delivered and obviously there was nothing at my house so some other person probably has my expensive item but not like usps cares I told them and all they said was “oh don’t worry about it” like WTF

Is there an email address to the Barre, VT Post Office?? I can't seem to get through on the phone!

I was told I would get my Covid test kits from the usps on monday 2-7. yet I have not received them? Calling only leads to a hang up on the phone! I worked at the Barre post office for 37 years. I never expected things would or could get this bad, what kind of people are running my post office?

I have now had 2 packages from Amazon that should be delivered direct to my house and instead i get a pick up notice. Have tried several times to call the Barre office only to get an automated recording and then it hangs up !!! I want my stuff delivered to my house as directed when ordered .

I started having my mail forwarded mid October. A letter from the Barre city hall was postmarked October 7, 2021 to my Barre address. I received the letter today, December 10, it having been forwarded on December 1 from the Barre PO! This concerned a matter that needed to be resolved by mid October. What happened between 10/1/21 and 12/1/21 when it merely had to travel across the street to the post office and then less than a mile to my house??????

The wrong mail keeps being delivered. Today, 07/02/2021, we received three pieces of mail for one of our neighbors and none for us. Did we have mail? If so, what address was it left at?

I’ve been waiting on two packages and just checked the tracking status and they’re being held for pickup at the post office. WHY??? This has happened before and some days mail isn’t delivered because the roads are bad. I was told over the phone by a Barre postal employee that their post office delivery vehicles can’t drive on bad roads so the mail gets held. This is Vermont and we always have snow in the winter! Calling in the morning to insist that my packages get delivered.

on 24 July 2020 I mailed off a package to my son who lives at 274 East Coble Hill Road, Barre , VT 05641. from Concord, NH. it came back to me on the 12th of August 2020. My Son has a mail box right on the road. His wife is home 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I paid $5.30 for delivery, what happen? THEY HAVE A MAIL BOX. I am sure this will be corrected, I will hand carry the package up myself. I am sure this is just a minor error. or mishap. Have a good summer, God Bless you folks for your Service to our Nation.

The mail carrier who delivers to my address has multiple times just not delivered packages for no reason. And nothing is being done about that.

My package delivery keeps getting put out by the road. It is my understanding that packages are brought to the door and not left by the road. Not very happy about the laziness of the carrier

Checked my informed delivery at 3:20pm saw packages were delivered at 3:12pm, so I went out, no packages. Called PO they told me that both packages had been delivered. I told them no, that the packages would no fit in Mailbox, and I also checked my porches, not there either. Supervisor Jeff said he would call me back, I called back at 4:40 knowing PO closes at 5pm, was told that Jeff would call me back, here it is 6:15 and no call back. I pay extra for First Class just so I can keep tabs on my packages. I know the mailmans route and I know that there is only one other house on his route with the same house number as myself and even told what the road name was. The sub does this every Monday, its like he does not want to work, and the Post Office is covering for him, I will be at the post office at 9 am when the window opens to file a complaint on the sub, and will call 800 number to file complaint on the PO.

Very disappointed and dissatisfaction with the mail man... three times the mailman said he couldn't deliver my packages BS he delivered my mail and junk mail.. Why not the packages!!!!!! How do they get away with that 🤬🤯 seriously!!!!

This one speaks for itself, I had 3 boxes of meat shipped priority from Belgrade Mt to Barre Vt. We were told it would take 2 days , 3 tops. The first 2 came about 8 days later. The 3rd one came 19 days later. Everything was spoiled. We couldn't track the package . all it said was it was in route.No idea where it was or when we would see it. Ridiculous !!!

We have had nothing but issues with the Barre Post Office and the manage there. We are a business in Barre that has a mail box on our porch where we have been told to be sure to stand our outgoing mail up so that it can be seen by the carrier. We put our mail out early in the day as we have had a discussion with our carrier who is very nice letting us know about the time the mail will be picked up. Today is the third time within in two weeks our mail has not been picked up. The Manager has told us is not required of the carrier to stop at the mailbox if there is no mail to deliver. We are a firm that has date sensitive mail that we send out daily. Somehow the US Postal Service is no longer about service, at least here in Barre. It makes us even more upset when we watch the US Postal Service ads on the TV bragging about there service. I am seriously thinking about doing up a bill for all the fees and penalties that we as a business have to pay because our mail is not picked up in a timely fashion. Pretty sure that it would be ignored, just the same as our mail box.

Today was at least the 8th time this year I have had a delivery issue with the Barre, VT p.o.. I was sitting in my doorway, watching for my delivery, when the truck drove right past. I have been on hold for 30 minutes (so far) to find out why they never even slowed down. Obviously they stopped somewhere else long enough to trigger Amazon to send a "sorry we missed you" notice. Why am I paying for prime if the usps is going to screw up EVERY SINGLE DELIVERY? And of course nobody answers the phone. Convenient that they wait until after they close to post the notice. I specifically came home early to receive a pckage I need tomorrow. No wondet they are going under. Please just take the dive already. Useless.
