My package was marked delivered but nowhere to be found. I went in and talked with the supervisor, who assured me I could call back if the package wasn't delivered by the end of the day. Less than 15 minutes after I got home, a postman brought the package. Thankful for the quick and easy resolution!

My daughter and I both have packages missing, that supposedly were delivered by usps,to our front porch. I'm at home, and have a security camera. No postal worker came to my house and delivered any packages. This was yesterday. also same for the lock box. I had things delivered there. Bit, nothing is in the box. Someone ,please explain where are my packages? And if the key is left.for the box. Half the time it doesn't work.

Consider this when putting mail on hold! While in the process of vacation and moving, we put a hold on our mail. On two occasions during the month it was on hold, I came into collect the mail, while continuing to hold. There was no mail on the first occasion, and on the 2nd, medications that should have been delivered got sent back to the pharmacy. I asked if the mail would have been sent to some other place. On both occasions we were told the hold card was present. At the end of our vacation, I went to gather the mail and submit a change of address. I was told there was no mail, and no hold card. Finally, getting connected with the supervisor, he apologized, contacted the carrier, and had all mail from the old address returned to the office. He asked if I would come back the next day to pick it up. I did, but a different carrier had picked up the mail by mistake and delivered it again to the old residence. The same supervisor apologized again, and asked if I would return today, a third trip, to pick it up and he would make sure it was here. The woman I just spoke to informed me that he was doing a courtesy and I should have put in a change of address. She was rude inappropriate, and speaking out of turn without knowing the situation. That kind of disrespect is inappropriate for anyone working with the public. I am quite sure some of our bills will be late because they were never delivered appropriately. I also know that my 89-year-old mother is going to be wrestling with mail order pharmacies because the US postal service didn't follow their own rules. Very unhappy!

Just got my diploma in the mail which says clearly on the envelope DO NOT BEND. It was folded in half and shoved into my mailbox. It happens all the time. Not happy!

Do they have phones????? the number listed is never answered or disconnected as if picked up and hung up. They certainly will not take calls and i have tried repeatedly. I have gone to both local post offices to find them closed even though it is listed as open. It would be nice if they up dated their hours.

USPS is a complete JOKE. If it had been my choice I would not have done this transaction with usps. Received notice that my package had been delivered, checked my mailbox and it had not. Took forever to find a working phone number, and when I did, they directed me to phone numbers that do not work. I have also witnessed the mail carrier place mail in incorrect mailboxes in my apartment complex. So, who knows, maybe one of the tons of people in the complex have my items. Guess I have to go door to door since no one at the post office seems to care to figure out what happened. No wonder usps is a dying breed.

I have been trying for weeks now to get a date for my passport appointment. I am beginning to think it is never going to happen. :( I have left two messages and have called on average 3 times a day, this has to be some of the worst service I have ever received.

I agree. I sent an insured priority package from Northern Virginia to my son at Lynchburg College. Supposed to arrive in 2 days, it has been 9 and counting. They don't answer. I tracked the package to the Lynchburg Post Office and it was processed by their sorting facility 2 days after I sent it, but no delivery. Lynchburg College never received it. Does anyone at USPS read these reviews?

This is the worst post office ever. I have sent my family in lynchburg a package with tracking. The package was to be delivered in 2 days, it has been 1 month and still no package. The lynchburg post office will not answer the phone. I have ask for a case to be open to find locate the package, but they closed the case without retrieving my package. The package was insured, but they don't want to honor the insurance either. I can't believe this. Do they really think they are not responsible for my package? Do they think I am going to let them loose my package and walk away. I will never use the post office service again for sending a package. FedEx and UPS may cost more but atleast your service will be honored.

Worst ever. That is all, worst ever. My package was shipped from Florida and was supposed to arrive in North Carolina, and ended up in Lynchburg VA. They don't even pick up their phones and how the hell are you going to scan an item through, whenever the destination is supposed to be North Carolina?!

The post office has managed to lose 2 months worth of mail. Even tho the new address is correctly in the computer system the employee told me, the carrier has been delivering it to the old address. Now no one seems to know where it is. There is a paycheck and w2 forms in there somewhere. There are birthday cards for my son. I cannot believe the postal service has just lost my mail!!
