Absolutely atrocious. I walked in to pick-up a returned package, and Tom Barton was nothing but rude. He continued to lecture me on the importance of utilizing local USPS services versus private enterprises (i.e. UPS) and how it would have been "tons cheaper to go through them". At first, I agreed, because who doesn't want to save money, right? However, I did not want to be continually lectured by some moronic bum who obviously hates his position and just wants to belittle others, so I looked over to his associate for guidance on shipping a good through Air versus Ground. Obviously, he did not like a woman taking control of an otherwise uncomfortable situation, and yelled at me to be gone and "Goodbye!". When I glared back at him, he was already looking down, not daring to make eye contact. Shows what kind of human being he is that he cannot stand behind his otherwise vulgar behavior, and chooses to hide. His associate was pretty mortified about the situation - I hope they can regain control of this post office. Because I am more than happy to spend more money on shipment through private companies if it means I am treated with kindness and mutual respect.
