On 1/23/24 I took an envelope to the Ingram TX post office to be mailed to my son in Midland, TX. The lady at the counter, who carried on a conversation with another customer, suggested using priority mail; it offered tracking and would definitely be delivered by 1/26/24, cost $9.60. OK. I also bought stamps. She printed out the receipt. I used my creditcard. and paid. She then said Oh, I did not include both items (stamps and package). So I paid the balance in cash. She printed a receipt for my priority mail, with the tracking number; this number was near the top of the receipt (9361 2896 8902 7284 3513 53). Delivery to be by 1/26/24. On this same date I enter the tracking number in my I-pad, showed info completely different. I went back to the p.o.and they told me that this was someone else's package, and that my tracking number was further down on the same receipt (and it was 9505 5142 3172 4023 4231 29). So, after stressing over the wrong tracking info, I said the employee should be more careful (she did not respond). The second employee said she was sorry for the other employee's mistake. OK. I went home and checked the correct tracking number -showed delivered on 1/26/24. The package wasn't delivered! As of today, 1/31/24 still not delivered. I went back to the p.o. and reported the problem. The lady who originally started this said her job was complete, and I need to contact the Midland p.o. I said I want to speak with the manager. I came home. Phone call, it's Claudia, the Ingram manager. She looks the tracking number up, said my package was delivered, and I said no, someone is lying, it has not been delivered; where is my package? She insisted it showed delivered, and I need to contact the Midland p.o. We exchaged heated words. She said I did not have to be rude. I said YES I do, because I have been stressed over this for several days, and still don't know where my package is. In the package I sent a $500 check, and copies of two bar codes for my son to return two Amazon orders, sent to him. I had to call my bank - $24 for stop pmt on my check. I do not understand why the p.o. at Ingram, Claudia refuses to help me, and contact the appropriate people to find my package. Not her responsibility, I have to continue tracking, taking up more of my time, esentially doing the p.o. job for them. At no time did Claudia say she was sorry about all of this, and she was quite cold. It is true that I allowed myself to lose my temper with her, but who wouldn't. The USPO service is not what it used to be. I know that my package is lost; the p.o. has cost me $. Am I bitter? What do you think. Thank you! Johnny Bland

there is no outside lighting for this building going up the front walk from parking. This is where the customers' PO Boxes are located. I have a po box and often retrieve my mail when I'm in town after hours. Sometimes I just don't go because I think it's taking an unnecessary risk in the dark. There are also high hedges all along walkway for someone to hide. I have asked before, but PLEASE, shouldn't a Federal Bldg have better - and SAFE - lighting????
