Mail from other people in our development is mixed with our mail at least once a week, so we hand deliver it to correct address. Only mail that was delivered to us before the recent holiday was a package, no first-class mail or ads. Today at 4:00 pm still no mail at all. Horrible, inaccurate service.

Absolutely the worst post office in America. Once again today our outgoing mail was not picked up nor did our carrier deign to deliver our mail. This happens repeatedly. And of course, the postmaster is unreachable and unwilling to get involved

Tracking number 9361289739021595739125 was placed in the parcel locker today. The key in my box said 2 so I opened 2 in my cluster of mailboxes and there was nothing there. This is the second time it has happened. I need that package today! The package should be placed in the mailbox cluster boxes not another box as there are many boxes

Every day recently, my friends mail box and many others are left open even the few days before Christmas and following Christmas. The weather was stormy and windy, so who knows what blew away and how many items were wet when people retrieved them. Prior to Christmas he had packages delivered and they were in full site of all vehicles driving past on "Bosque Trail." What are the postal workers requirements for rural delivery? Close boxes, or just drive away leaving them open?

My package was supposed to be delivered, per the postal service tracking, however the package was not delivered. I believe the postal person put the 'key' for the 'package box' into another resident mail box. Based on the below comments, I appears to happen a lot, I have the 'confirmation # but there is now way of knowing who to speak with.

The employees in this post office are the the most rude obnoxious uninformed out of any post office I've ever been in or dealt with in the entire state of Texas. They are extremely understaffed and have a I really don't care attitude. I've had a PO Box in this post office for the last year and have endured lost mail no mail and everyone's mail but my own at times. They continue to put the last person's that had my box his mail in my in it. I've requested them to stop on up 10 or more occasions and they tell me when that happens just push that mail back through onto the floor! Where they pick it up and put it back in my box! I'm a native Texan born and raised and once again these are the most rude and obnoxious people I've ever dealt with in a post office. I got an email from them that my renewal was due and for 12 months it would be a certain price yet when i went in to pay it the amount was almost 4 times the price in the email and was told that they never sent me that email yet there it is. WOW WOW WOW! I've filed a grievance against this post office and hope they clean house and get some DECENT people in there

I had received package (from the lobby door post office personnel) items on tissue paper, out of the shipping boxes, to view the items. I went to the desk, around the corner, to send a different package back to Amazon. But, there were two other people on stand-by, so it took a little longer. I went back around to retrieve the items. And they were STOLEN. I do not think it was a customer because I have been using this post office for going on 7 years, and have left items on the counter, and no one has ever bothered my items. Some times you have several items to retrieve from the boxes, and you are not able to carry all boxes at one time. I had flack from my relative that sent the items and paid her for her kind efforts, since she did not pay for shipping insurance. To add, the box had been opened prior to my retrieval because the personnel person said that, "If it has electronic items, we can open them." So be aware, there are thieves that work at the post office.

Every year I mail a birthday card containing a silver dollar to my son in Alabama. This year I sent card containing the silver dollar on Friday, Feb. 11 and he received the card on Feb. 15. The corner of the card was sliced open, the small plastic bag was sliced (which was taped inside the card) and the silver dollar was missing. Someone between Sun City in Georgetown and Pelham AL had to both cut the card open and the 2" x 3" plastic and remove the gift! Linda Berriman, 123 Blazing Star Dr, Georgetown 512 943-0186

I have been sending numerous packages thru this post office, paying tons for shipping and several packages are lost or do not show up as arrived for a week or so. I don't know who runs this office, but it is very unorganized and certainly not efficient. I will start using another postal service as I cannot rely on my packages arriving to the customer in a timely manner. Such a shame!!!

We have used the Mail Hold services multiple times. The last two times we have received mail that did not belong to us AND found out that some of our mail was delivered to other addresses. This most recent hold, we have mail for a neighbor on Cathedral Mountain Pass as well as mail for someone on Shumard Peak Road. I don’t know who is handling your mail holds, but someone needs to look into this process. This is very frustrating. Thank you.

Mailed a large package that they charged me $94.00 to mail and then they lost it. Joe, the postmaster, said he would look into it and never did anything, then told me I have to call and put in a claim and get a case number which they will send to him. Still never heard from him after he keeps saying he will call me. Went there today to follow up and after they told me he was coming and kept me standing there for 10 minutes told me he's on a phone conference. What a load of garbage. They took the package in, it's their responsibility to find it. Unless of course they opened it and liked the contents and decided to keep it for themselves. Horrible service. And you can't call because they never answer the phone.

I have been going thru terrible experience with them. This is my fifth visit to their office. I paid $25 for lock change. It's been more than 1 and half weeks I didn't hear anything from them. Then I called they someone told me to come and pickup the key. Once I reached there the key was not found. And worse... the log book page was missing. Then I filled a form to hold back my mails. Today I went to collect the mails. And Guess what.... that form was missing. Again I filled a form to hold my mails back. There is no professionalism at all.

They do a good job, but Tristan, is the creepy guy who's eyes lock onto womens bodies, even when he's waiting on me he stares at the women. Did an experiment today, went in with my wife, his window was vacant, but the door to the backroom was open after standing in line a bit i saw him peeping out from that backroom LOCKED ONTO her (we had a bet, at this point i was winning!) then we were leaving and BAM he had that "half-door" open as we left, no customers, just him..there...staring like a rapist. At this point i was laughing and got her to go back "in" with me to get some priority boxes, we got them within 2 min, and we turned around and BAM there he was, doing nothing, leaning on the metal detectors to tell us to have a good day as we walked by. This is ridiculous #ThirstyTristan needs to be working instead of stalking!

I was told when I ordered it that it would be 5-7 business days. We have waited in long lines twice, only to be told "you should have it soon". I have mail that is urgent, that I need to have, to pay my new mortgage. What do we have to do to get our mailbox key?! This should not be this hard! I have called an no one answers. No idea where are package was. Tried calling post office with no answer. In the past out shared mailbox has been entirely left open, allowing easy access to everyone mail and packages, missing packages late packages, parcel lockers that wont open. I wish all businesses would stop using USPS and go to UPS or FedEx, I never have these issues from non tax dollar subsidized businesses..

This has been my mail hub for 20+ years much to my dismay. They never answer the phone, so don't even bother. Apparently, we are not their customer. Quite sure our mail service gets skipped a day or two each week, maybe due to the area's recent growth or is it so the mail carriers can get off at a certain hour each day? When they do deliver, the time is terribly inconsistent. Tried to do our passports there and it was quite frustrating since you can't get any questions answered in advance. Tell me please, why we can't privatize the USPS?!?

I have been living in Georgetown (Sun City) zip code 78633 for 5 months now and mail service to my home is horrible. There is one central location to deposit mail in my neighborhood and the mail carriers cannot seem to get it right. Even after complaining to the Post Office, the mail carriers place my mail in my neighbors' mail box and once a week, my neighbors will bring my mail to me. To add to the poor post office service, when you go to the post office to complain about the poor service, I have waited up to 45 minutes to explain to them that I am not getting my mail on a regular basis. The excuses that I get range from the post office employing new mail carriers to mail boxes not clearly identified by mail carriers to mail carriers not reading instructions properly to identifying the correct mail boxes. The results are my incoming mail is so bad that I can only hope my outgoing mail is receiving better treatment.

Locker keys with no number on them so you have to try every box. It's insane and I am not happy, me neighbors are constantly have to bring stuff to my house, I constantly have to deliver my neighbors news paper, magazines and what ever your carrier don't bother to look at carefully. We have a business & frequently have to travel for several days. We try to put our mail on hold as soon as we know we have to go out of town. We receive the confirmation of hold & acknowledgement of mail service resuming, but frequently - no MAIL to be located on the day of resumption. We have no way of knowing if the mail was left & stolen, or is it sitting in a back corner waiting to get sorted to the right route. Unfortunately I have to use Express Scripts or my maintenance medications, one of them a controlled substance (not pain med). We just returned 5-13-2018 & 1 box of medication was delivered & picked up by a neighbor that knew we were out of town. Mail wasn't delivered on 5-12-2018 or 5-14-2018. No answer at the Post Office - phone just rings about 20 times & then goes to rapid busy signal. Guess I'd be firing management employees, not my business. Just citizen subsidized agency. I mailed a check as payment to someone in Dallas on May 30, 2017, from my Georgetown address, having put the letter with the check enclosed in our community's cluster mailbox, outgoing. Two weeks later the check has never arrived, and it has not been cashed. Thus, apparently, it has been lost in the mail. I had to go to my bank and get the check canceled in case someone finds the check and tries to cash it. When I called the Georgetown Post Office to complain, I got little comment, no help, no concern. This is not the first problem by a long shot that I have had with the Georgetown Post Office. I had a gift (a necklace) stolen out or a package once and have dealt with at least a couple of failures on their part to deliver held mail on the date requested after I returned to town. What in the world is the matter with the Georgetown Post Office? Incompetent? Careless? Dishonest? What?

My son recently graduated from college. While we were out of town celebrating his accomplishment, we requested the USPS office not deliver our mail until we returned. Two things happened upon our return: 1) We found a white box on our front door step in plain view of anyone who passed in front of our house; and 2) my son's college diploma was crushed in the bottom of the box under all of the other mail. The over-sized parcel was clearly marked with "DO NOT BEND" and also showed it came from the university. I called to spoke to an individual at the USPS office who apologized; however, there is something wrong with someone who knowingly destroys mail in this example. Be assured that receiving the replacement diploma will not involve the USPS.

I passed the mail on to the correct addressee who said one of the pieces was a check she had been waiting for. She told me that she had also received mail incorrectly and had passed it on to correct addressee. I do not know who the new mail carrier is, but the carrier certainly is not good with delivery detail. I order online a lot and now concerned my orders will go to someone else. Most people are honest and will make sure the correct addressee will get the package, but some are not.

Went to post office Georgetown TX to buy stamps, 2:30 PM line to door, one man behind counter and a lady waited on a couple of customers, then she went to back, another line at pick up counter of five or six people. after 10 min and moving up two spaces I gave up and left, had to get back to work. There is no reason for this kind of service anywhere, Government run or not.

Multiple times a month, on a regular basis, the mailman does not pick up mail we've left in our mail box...with the flag up. If he/she doesn't have mail to drop off, I guess he/she doesn't see the need to pick up our out-going mail. Today, it happened 2 days in a row. There is absolutely no need for this.

I have been extremely disappointed the way this post office has been handling our new neighborhood. They were given the map to streets weeks ago and even told us they have put the locks on the boxes and that our keys should be ready the next day. Its been over a week now and we are still without mail and the branch is clueless as what to do.

We have had our home for two years, the mailbox is in front of our house and we still do not receive our mail. Our mail gets returned to sender address unknown! We have been to the post office numerous times. We have called a thousand times! No one ever answers that phone so don't bother calling. I am beyond frustrated!

As far as contacting this post office by phone, I will agree with the previous reviews - impossible!! No other business could get away with doing this except a government entity..... And this same entity thinks they can take over health care and make it better and more efficient.... Incredible!!

The Georgetown post office is the worst post office I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their carrier/delivery staff either can't read an address or are so careless and incompetent that the mail in rarely delivered to the incorrect cluster box. Packages are not delivered timely and Mail is always lost. Postal admin staff don't answer the phone when a person tries to call in. The widow staff are offentimes rude when asked questions and the environment often feels hostile. It may be time to clean house starting with the postmaster in charge of the post office. It would eliminate dead weight and may correct many of the issues that are extremely apparent here in Georgetown. It will also result in happy customers who won't feel that the taxes they pay in to assist pay federal employee wages or amounts paid to contracted postal staff Isn't a total WASTE of their funds.

By mistake, an order of mine was sent to the wrong address in Georgetown. I caught the mistake right away and called the Georgetown Post Office. The woman I spoke with said it was probably out on delivery, and she would tell the carrier and get the right address put on it. That was July 28. I am still waiting for my package and the PO phone number is always busy, or no one answers.

It seems that answering the phone is not on anyone's job description at the Georgetown post office . I recently moved to the other side of Georgetown and my postal service is so shoddy. Multiple letters with my CORRECT address were returned to sender. My letters from San Antonio have taken 3 weeks to arrive instead of the usual 2 days. I am getting other people's mail in my box and I am given the wrong key to open the parcel box and haven't been able to get my time- sensitive package for 5 days. Heads have got to roll. If the current employees at the Georgetown Post Office don't want to do their job there are many others who can replace them. This is a completely unacceptable level of , I can't even say service, but NON-service.

The absolute WORST Post office in the U.S.. They cannot get their crap together for nothing. Delivering business mail to another business and taking 3 hours to track it down and get it back. Calling all the phone numbers on the system are useless. I know of enough employees that would love to be getting paid what they are and actually caring about their jobs. This location is horrible! Close it and save the taxpayers some money.

TXThe service Georgetown,tx should replace whoever they have hired to do a job that obviously either is too hard for them or they just don't care. Starting with the main office on Scenic Dr - Answer the PHONE - taxpayers pay your wages - My package has been stuck in the parcel bin because the carrier didn't bother to put a key in my mailbox to open it Ugh - The cluster mailboxes need to be done away with because the carriers or should I say "some" carriers can take advantage of folks - Last year I maile a card with some cash to my son and put in outgoing mail - never got it nor the cash - I had a package last year that also said "delivered" - was delivered to wrong address - Yes, people make mistakes but this bunch seem to keep doing it - ad at customers expense - What really upsets me is this package was a christmas package and was already late in getting here ONLY to still be late due to the carrier - PUT THE KEY IN THE MAILBOX SO WE CAN ACTUALLY GET OUR ORDER PLEASE

I had a wonderful conversation with Edward at the post office, after 7pm and he was still working to find packages for customers. My package is missing because it was sent with an incorrect address. Not Edward's fault but he was patient, apologetic and provided as much information as he could. Thank you, Edward!

I filed a formal complain about the phone being busy or ringing for hours. I suggest others do so as well if they run into this problem. I just dialed the I-800 number above and filed a complaint claim. They are supposed to be answering the phone at all times at every Postal Office. He was astounded that this was not the case and even gave me a number to escalate the claim if the practice does not change. It is a local agent that can investigate in the Rio Grande area but you have to have a claim number first. The number there is 210-368-8498. If anyone has a claim that was not processed to satisfaction they can contact this agent for further investigation. The 40+ postal veteran that handled my claim was very helpful and after listening to several other problems I've had said that it may take a visit by an agent to find and fix the problems in our local office. We should all be proactive in fixing our local post office. We can have better.

Constant busy signal. Will file a complaint. Repeatedly do not pick up outgoing mail, even when dropping off incoming mail. That is certainly perplexing. With packages, I have been told that they will "swing by" and pick them up on their way back so as not to have to carry but often they do not. Very frustrating. I have rotating carriers and they blame it on each other. We PAY for this service. We should receive it.

They will NEVER answer their phones in Georgetown, TX. I always have to call the main 1-800 number and file a complaint against them. Then, and it seems only then, will they submit the problem to the Regional Office in San Antonio, TX and then someone there does forward the complaints and I actually got a response from them and the mail carrier. All our mail was being delivered to the wrong addresses up and down our street, even my new credit cards, etc. If I were you I would look up the 1-800 number under United States Government Postal Listing..... and be firm and tell them you want to file a claim!!!

No one answers the phone. I think they do that so they don't have to answer questions....like someone stole $ from my daughters card last week. I put her card in the mailbox outside (it was after hours) and when she received it the bottom had been opened and carefully sealed back up. The card arrived minus the cash! Has anyone else had things taken out of their mail?

Everyone's comments are spot on. I went to the Georgetown post office today with all documents and children to apply for passports. I had tried to call (mutiple times)for info, but phone was never answered. When I get there, I'm told I need an appointment, but when I said I had called, they told me the phone is in the back so they can't answer it. (I was on several websites beforehand, but none mentioned appointment until I found this one) Next appointment was 2 weeks out. Will try Marble Falls where you don't need an appointment. If that fails will use private service. It's time to stop giving billions of our tax dollars to this inept broken postal service and let them go under. The free market will prevail!!!

I have to echo all the preceding comments, and add a few. The employees at this branch could absolutely care less about their customers' needs. Nobody answers the phone, ever. Need to put a vacation hold on your account? Don't use the website, this branch is so totally inept that they cannot process customer requests unless you directly submit them at the counter. Today I sat in my front office overlooking the driveway since 7:00 a.m. I saw the mailperson drive up to my box this afternoon, put in the mail, and drive off. When I retrieved the mail, there was a "sorry we missed you" notice for a parcel delivery there! NO attempt to even bother coming to the door to deliver, apparently making that kind of effort is 'above and beyond' their job requirements! Someone (likely many people) needs to get canned and taken off our (the taxpayers') payroll at this branch!!

Unfortunately, I am in agreement with the other responses. This Post Office is terrible. Since we have moved to our new home here in Georgetown, we have not received a single package without making a huge stink and filing complaints. Every package had been scanned in as delivered, but lo and behold- they still had it! So much for paying rush shipping on anything, they don't seem to understand the concept of mail delivery in the first place, forget about being on time with it! Our neighbors are also new and we are constantly having to swap mail. It's pathetic. Get your act together!

According to these post, it has been broke for a might long time. It is shameful. So after waiting for 5 minutes on hold for the person to return with available appointment times, I hung up and called back. Now why did I do that....the phone just rings busy now. Another time, a different woman refused because I had used Scotch tape to secure my gift box. ??? I just end up using to automated machine and sending it myself whenever possible. Today I called to make a request that the mail carrier stop delivering the wrong mail to our box. I have sent back and re-received the same two letters, three times now. My call just rang and rang until dropped on all four of my attempts to call through. Is this what our tax dollars are paying for?

I'm always pissed at how this post office works. It's been 3 times they don't pick up my outgoing mail even though I'm careful enough to leave a note on my mailbox saying there's outgoing mail inside. My outgoing mail just sat in my mailbox for 2 days. And I already talked to the mailman who delivers in my area about this and he says he always picks up outgoing mail. Then I don't know why he doesn't pick mine up. Moreover, my package was on the way for delivery to me yesterday. At least that's what it says on the usps tracking page. But it's been 2 days and I never see my package. When I tried calling them, the phone kept ringing until it hung up by itself. And when I tried calling again a few times later, it just didn't connect anymore. Now I see why many people hate this post office.
