I live in a subdivision where there is a bank of locked mailboxes. I’m having issues with packages being put in the the wrong box, getting other people’s mail and other people getting my mail. In the past, the carrier would put oversized packages on my porch, but lately they just don’t deliver them if they won’t fit. My house is right in front of the mailboxes. I’m really frustrated. This week alone, I’ve had a package show it was delivered and was not, gotten the pieces of mail addressed to another neighbor and had yet another neighbor bring me three pieces of mail.

Spoke with the Postmaster in October about issues with our new carrier delivering to wrong addresses, leaving packages sitting on top of mailboxes (we share a group of mailboxes with other neighbors at the end of a dead end road), trampling through our flower bed to put packages at the end of our front porch, rather than walking down the paved walk to deliver at the front door. He was very apologetic, and for a bit things improved. Fast forward to today - the carrier left my mailbox door open with a package propped up on the open door. Not only putting all of our mail out there for our neighbors to see, but also putting strain on our mailbox door. And, it's been drizzling off and on today. I have called the post office several times now, and it just rings and rings, no answer. I do a good bit of online shopping for the holidays (much like many others), and I am legitimately afraid there will be issues with package deliveries this season. ~ a VERY frustrated postal customer

Last week my uncle found my parcel sitting on the grass in front of my mailbox. It was starting to rain so he picked it up for me. I would have appreciated it being put on my porch. Thank you

I received a large package in the mail today. It stuck so far out of the mailbox that they needed to put a rubberband around the door hook to the flag to keep the package from falling out. Instead of bringing it up my driveway and honking their horn for me to come out and get it or even putting it on my front porch, they shoved it in the mailbox screaming to everyone " Hey! Heres a package for anyone to see and pick up " along with my mail which had there been a check in an envelope, that would have been gone also. My normal mail carrier usually runs between 1pm and 2:30 PM. She is always really polite and friendly and good with my mail and actually cares and at least acts like she likes her job. I like her. I think they have had maybe someone from time to time taking her place. I don't know who delivered my mail today but I highly doubt it was her. Ever since I moved here to Pickens 18 yrs ago, I have had issues with the post office. Oh, and don't try to call them on the phone because you will not get an answer. The " old fart " ( and I'm not so young either) at the service desk was so ugly and rude and I couldn't understand why she worked in public service. She was not fit to. I told myself she needed to be re- assigned to another area ( not working with people face to face) or retire her ( should be the latter of the two). I continued to have issues on and off for a years. They would also deliver someone elses mail to my address quite frequently. I actually took that persons mail to them if it were close by, just to make sure they received their mail. I should never have to do that! It would happen way too many times that It frustrated me to no end. I complained and it would get better but not for long. I don't know what these people are doing there, but it surely not their jobs. Walking into a job with a bad attitude about it, causes these kinds of issues. If they don't like where they are in their jobs/ careers, , then leave and go elsewhere. Give their job to someone who wants it! This Post Office is not going to make it if these workers don't get their act together. They came close to being shut down before, they could again.......

I am having an extremely hard time getting my packages. We have a driveway gate with a call bell at the drivers side window. We have asked repeatedly to have the push the bell Snd they never do. They do not need to leave there vehicle (as I was told, but it’s ok for USPS/Amazon). Just ring the bell, we will run down or open the gate. We have no problems with Amazon or UPS. Just our postal driver. The call bell is right at drivers side window! 113 Pine Lane, Pickens, SC 29671

We had our mail on hold from November 3rd to 14, zip code 29685. When we picked it up we found extra mail not ours. There were six (6) different names and address. Never had this problem before. Not very happy thinking who has received my mail in the past. Please investigate who did this and have them retrained, or get a different supervisor who knows how to distribute mail correctly in the Pickens SC post office.

Had an appointment with the Pickens post office today at 12:45 for a passport renewal due to name change. Needed to have a new photo made as well. Showed up at the assigned time. Seemed as though they were expecting me. Very nice gentleman offered to assist and looked at the existing passport, birth certificate and then said they would need a copy, front and back of my DL. They do not have the ability to make copies at this post office so he told me I could go just down the street for the copy. The woman in the post office next to him was apparently responsible for the actual appointment. In words which were beyond rude, she said that my appointment was now and she did not have time for me to go get the copies made. I said I could be back by 1pm and she said absolutely not. She was getting her passport today and leaving no later than 2:30. She stated my appointment was at 12:45 and since I was not early, I had no time to get copies made. Said my window to get my passport was 8 minutes and that was it! The gentleman trying to help me was so embarrassed. I felt bad he has to work with her. She was rude and unprofessional. I had the feeling she felt like her job was secure no matter what so she could behave how she pleased. When I went to find the form at the counter to help myself, she yelled across the room that it was right beside my hand in a condescending manner. Well, that was actually the wrong one. It was for a new passport. I was renewing. Then she said very rudely in that case, I did not even need to see her. When I tried to explain I needed a photo and name change, she still said she had no time to deal with this today. Well, this is Pickens post office. I assure you they were not that busy and there was no line of people looking to have passport information completed. She really should not be in a public facing customer service role. One of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had dealing with a public servant or any customer service person.

Tracked packages go out for delivery, then return to post office late in the evening, and are scanned back in. Then they can't be found. One reason was that there was no access to my mailbox. It is ON THE SIDE OF HWY 8. No mail on lots of days. Sometimes no pick up of mail left with flag up. Unbelievable customer service.

My mail was not picked up Saturday. This happens somewhat frequently , even midweek sometimes. I have urgent international mail to send, so it was frustrating.
