I have found that the Lithopolis Post Office is one of the best in the state of Ohio. Very dependable and the employees treat you better than any post office I have been in. I have used Groveport, where the girl asked me sarcastically, "what is this" just because it already had the postage affixed to a package. I have used Lancaster, where an individual name Jamie is always screaming something (a loudmouth) having the worst manners of any postal clerk I have ever seen and the Lancaster Postmaster lets that go on. And then the Columbus offices, I don't even want to talk about. Trust me, the employees at Lithopolis go the extra mile to help you and treat you right. As far as what the Mad American was talking about here, I have never seen anything like what she is talking about.
The post office in Lithopolis Ohio has the worst service I have ever seen. Packages get to recipients days after they have arrived, if you don't send priority its even longer. Residents don't have the option of physical address delivery so the postmaster can withhold mail without their knowledge. If they complain it gets even worse. Packages get returned to sender for "unknown person", "postage due" (sent from a post office). I really feel sorry for the people who live there and that I have to send mail through other entity's because I can't trust the US Mail will get there. I must say, I am going to file a official complaint, but doubt it will do any good since an investigation has been done in the past. Not sure who the relative in Washington is but they must carry some weight if this postmaster has remained in her job after some of the things that have happened there.
