Mailing packages to family in (expensive!) flat rate envelopes and they are not even being attempted to be delivered, we are getting re-delivery notices when they have always left them at door or in mail box. We have mail sent okay to leave if no one home. After 10 years and no issues at all, this is very frustrating. Will have to start using UPS or FedEx. Retired family living in the country in Carroll, Ohio (serviced by Canal Winchester office) waiting on packages to be delivered and the mailman leaves a re-delivery notice but not the envelope which would easily fit inside the over-sized mailbox. Very, very sad.

Update: My family still hasn’t received their package and never received a notification that anything was attempted to be delivered (2 alleged attempts) nor did they request that the post office hold the item but here we are. Post office saying customer requested a hold, not true. Now my SIL gets to work a 12 hour day as a nurse and find the time to drive and wait in line at the post office to get her Birthday present. Fabulous. I will be using UPS from now on.

"USPS Employees" are showing up on Sundays? taking mail from our mailboxes and speeding off when we approach them. What is going on? USPS Employees whether part time or full time should be uniformed and identify themselves as representatives of the Federal Government.
