I was not home when a registered letter came so i set up a date for redelivery and waited all day but it was not delivered. I called and set up another date but it came on the day before when I wasn’t home. My request was either lost or ignored. Couldn’t talk to a real live person. Im 84 years old and dont drive.

Okay, so there may be more than incompetence going on in the Firestone Park Post Office -44301. Twice in the past 45 days, greeting cards have gone missing - one had money in it. Hmmm??? I reported it to Post Office Consumer Affairs.

I tried to mail an envelope, already stamped and ready to go "after hours" in the mail box drop, only to find someone took the time to TAPE the box closed with a note that its only available during hours that they are open... I thought drop boxes were to provide the convenience ANY time of day? Boy, I hope someone steps in and replaces USPS soon because I would like another option.

In the last two years I have had nothing but poor service from the Firestone Park Branch of the USPS. If I put in a vacation stop or forwarding order while we are out of town, I still get mail in my mail box. If it were not for the person I have watching my house, mail would be spilling out of my mailbox while we are out of town. I stopped in to the post office to speak to someone about this recently and a man joined the person at the window to ask what was wrong. He never identified himself. When I asked how this can happen, he replied, "hey people make mistakes". I said, "for two years"? I asked who sorts the mail--"the carrier". I asked who is aware of my vacation or forwarding stop---"the carrier". I asked if there was anyone there who could get this guy to stop this behavior, he said,"talk to the carrier". I said I am not going to sit at home and try to catch the carrier to do the job someone at the post office is supposed to do. I asked if he could help me. He said, "I'm not a supervisor." I asked if I could speak to a supervisor--"not here." I said you guys have one job to do---deliver mail and you are not doing that to my satisfaction, what do I do about it? He said, "what can I tell you, people make mistakes." And they wonder why there are problems at the Post Office!

Another bang up job by our crack postal boys! Received a box today marked fragile. Big hole in the side. Lamp shade inside broken. Packaged well. braced with Styrofoam and packing paper. Loss for me and $200 loss to the seller. Shade was one of kind. And we wonder why there is a problem at the postal service!

Saturday I was sitting on my front porch with my german shepherd that was on his leash and my mom was down on the sidewalk waiting on the mail . she stop two houses down the road and said she wasn't even walking down the sidewalk with him on his own porch because she had been bite before by a dog . So I took him in the house for a few minutes. Remember minder she walk in the yard every day when he's not out.

Oh this is Russ again apologizing for those crazy remarks that I left below I was just steaming after loosing my second paid for item from Amazon because they chose to use USPS to deliver them to me. I just can not believe these mail persons have the mox to actually go back to their truck and e-mail that package was delivered with no problems. Well also I am mad for all the other stuff 2, in older times the mail man always acted as a neighbor and courteous used common sense. You know those lost traits that humans used to have.

Twice now I have had the misfortune of Amazon using the 44301 Mail men and women to deliver small packages to my house and both times they have posted on the net that the packages were delivered at a time with no problems and both times they have lied about the deliveries and yea I am accusing them of theft. These mail persons in my neighborhood actually expect you to run around the neighborhood almost weekly delivering mail. We in this area have let this crap go on long enough. Two more things that fry me are the blatant walking trails they stomp through your yards daily. 30 years ago you would never see a mail peoples trudge paths through your front yards. The other thing is I guess just because they can, every time rain is forecasted they leave your box lid open.

Crappy postal area. Dont live in the 44301 area if you expect to get mail. one day the mail will show up at 11 am. The next day it might not get there until 6 at night. Oh and dont bother calling either. They arent even trying to answer the damn phone.
