Valley Stream Post Office. 111 S. Franklin Ave. I wanted to apply for a passport and the man there( with glasses, he looked Indian, in his sixties) i asked him if no one showed up for their appointment I was able to wait and get my child's passport. He looked at me with no emotion and said that I had to make an appointment. There was only one person at a window sending a package. He obviously did not want to help and be bothered with. I looked at him trying to convince him to please help me. I went to the Woodmere office and the manager there understood my frustration and was able to help get my child's passport. If the purpose of a job is serving a community and one does not like to help that person should look somewhere else.

Package has been lost or taken....can't get refund from company as it says it has reached its destination. When I call they state that they haven't received it...however...it shows that it arrived on July 10th. Frustrated

Ive had 3 incidents in the past month. Mail lost??? Or is someone stealing it. Whatever happened it never reached its destination. I also had one letter torn open, the letter was removed and it was taped back and the empty envolpe was delivered. Dont put ANYTHING IMPORTANT in the mail because it might not getther!!!

I asked for a package to be held and returned as I was scammed. Supervisor said sorry we can't do anything and it is out for delivery. Tried calling six times and it would go to a fax machine. I called later and couldn't help me in getting my package as it was out for delivery and not their problem. Incompetent fools are manning this Post Office and should be fired.

These people are useless. I waited 45 minutes for a Supervisor and then no one could find her. AND No one else would help me!! Don’t use their automated service center. You will loose your money. The stamps and labels get stuck in the machine. On the day my regular delivery person is off, either no mail is delivered or it is left in a neighbor’s box.

Who and where are the District Mgrs for this location. I WISH I CAN TEACH THE STAFF CUSTOMER SERVICE Via how to handle customer service over the phone and when a customer is in front of them. VALLEY STREAM HAS THE WORST STAFF EVER! NOT FRIENDLY, DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR JOBS. I WISH THE RUDE EMPLOYERS WOULD LEAVE IF THEY DONT LOVE or CARE ABOUT THE JOB!

It'd be great if one could rely on the Valley Stream mail carriers to actually deliver the mail. Instead some of them don't even bother to deliver mail to anyone in the entire street and, when confronted about this intentional failure, their superiors dare to act insolent and claim the mail was delivered even when you know it wasn't because you were waiting on your front porch all day long and none of your neighbors got mail that day either. What are the mail carriers doing when not doing their one and only job? Are they parked outside some bar somewhere getting drunk? Stuffing their faces at Dunkin Donuts? Who the hell knows? And of course on the odd occasion these mail carriers will retaliate by throwing your mail (especially Netflix DVDs) in a puddle of water on the ground instead of in your mail box (that's after the mail carrier claimed to have delivered the mail and then later claimed there was no mail and then claimed later that he never tossed my mail in a puddle - they can't even keep their lies straight). If you want a reliable mail delivery service (or your magazine subscriptions not ripped to shreds on a regular basis), never move to Valley Stream as the local USPS is a disgrace even by the usual lowly standards of the USPS.
