The postmaster has an attitude issue. We changed our locks and now they are refusing to deliver mail to our building. We were told that the mail carrier couldn't ring the bell that day so we could not only let her in that day but hand her a key for regular entry. Unbelievable.

Tried reaching you by phone, it is impossible. Had a package sent to me from St Louis, Mo., tracking said you tried to deliver it twice, pure nonsense. I work from home and there was never an attempt to deliver it. Also waiting for mail from Social Security, haven't received it. Maybe you all returned that too. Not sure what's going on in your facility. Didn't want to give you even 1 star but can't post my comment without it.

I would like to acknowledge my postal delivery person John. I live on West College Ave in Poughkeepsie. John is very courteous and always has a pleasant disposition and smile..even on the worst weather days. My mail is always delivered promptly and my packages are delivered with great care. I hope he continues on this route for a long time! Mrs. V. Mooney

If there is anyone else out there who is trapped in "postal limbo". there is light on the horizon. This applies specifically to people who get their mail sent to their po box. If you didn't know, delivery of your packages from Amazon --to your home address--is left to the "discretion" of postal employees. If your town, like my town has a bigoted and vendictive employee who is REFUSING to deliver the package he was paid to deliver by Amazon, they want to know. Together we can "cancel" this practice. A practice that discriminates against p.o. box owners, who are left with absolutely NO way to receive their purchases. Purchases that are sent back to the sender with no attempt made to deliver the package the way FEDX, or UPS or Amazon trucks would do. Unfortunately, most of these other carriers hand-over the package at the tail end of the journey to USPS--who then refuses to deliver it. Amazon is left to pay both shipping and returns for prime members--with no sale being made. Re-ordering just runs up the bill for Amazon over and over, still with no delivery. Not a happy situation for Amazon either! If this is happening to you too, email Amazon's Executive Customer Relations at <> They are there to help and I find them willing to do what it takes to resolve issues to a happy conclusion. My happiest resolution would be to have Amazon drop USPS as one of their carriers. That would cost USPS millions in revenue annually. So, please--if USPS is also refusing to deliver what they were paid to deliver for you, contact the people at Amazon and let them know. It's time we stop this discriminatory practice.

I have been calling this post office for over a week now. I moved from New York and need my mail. I was told it would be forwarded and it has now been over a month since I received any mail. Every time I call it rings and then after 2 minutes just hangs up. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Waited for package today .... Got a message that delivery was attempted at 3:50 pm and they were blocked reasons being mailbox blocked, dogs, or unable to gain access to deliver. Let's see, I was in living room at that time, dogs were in the house, in front of mailbox is the road, and sidewalk is clear to front door! Called Poughkeepsie post office and no one answers. Called 800 number and on hold so far for 32 minutes. Boring music! PO General not doing a good job at all. If this was you or me we would be fired!

I don’t know why this post office is still opened. In the last year, I’ve had a package stolen from there and no one knows how, my mail gets here around 6pm or most days or delivered to the wrong address. Now a package that was supposed to be delivered today was forwarded. The company that sent it had the correct address and when I tried calling the post office no one answered. They are supposed to work until 5:30pm and that means answering the phone. I’m contacting the IG office because I’m tired of this.

I'm tired of my Postman not delivering the weekly supermarket ads. I'm a senior & disabled, & depend on Price Chopper & Shop Rite coupons! Thank You. Usually I get them, not this week, & it's happened in the past with other postmen. Thx again.

Also, last year when I went to Fl for 2 weeks, & submitted a HOLD MY MAIL with the exact dates I was away & to return, I came back to 2 weeks of mail stuffed in my very small mailbox where I live at Hudson Harbour. Ridiculous!

I live at 66 Worrall Avenue and my package was left on the outside stairs. It was never brought into the bldg and it was small enough to fit in my mailbox. I know my regular post man would NEVER do this. Whoever you had doing mail on March 18, 2017 needs to be reprimanded. My product was electric and left outside during snow. UNACCEPTABLE! I'm pretty pissed off about it and want to be compensated.
