We have a dog that goes into our yard. He barks like any other dog. Our mailbox for 20 years has been on our house. we now have a new carrier for about 1 year. i have had mail be dropped on the other side of our gate, put in out pergola at our gate, and it has been left in the rain. At one point, I went to the carrier and said that i understand why he wouldn't want to go into the yard with the dog there and I wouldn't expect him to. So I said he could leave the mail at the pergola. Coming to a compromise. However, now the mail is left at the pergola all the time. I left an appropriately worded note to please put the mail in the mailbox when the dog wasn't in the yard. Recently, i came home in at the moment the carrier was placing the mail at the pergola. I mentioned is the dog in the yard. This time there was a box in the walkway from another delivery. I said just push the box aside, which is what I would do. He made a half hearted attempt to push the box and walked away. i said it again to just move the box. he then proceeded to walk back and take the mail, and continue on his way to the next house. Well at this point I cursed at him to give me my f'ing mail. Im not proud of that, but at this point I was highly annoyed. He could've just handed me the mail as I standing close enough (getting out of my care across the street). I said to him, ok I speak with your Postmaster. The postmaster wasn't available but I did speak with the Supervisor. i went through the whole situation and he was going to do an investigation. He called back shortly by phone and said basically that our storm door which has a glass door is not a front door and they don't know if its latched, locked or can be pushed open by our dog to go after the carrier. My dog has never done that and won't. I then called him back the following day and he basically blamed me or the situation, inferring that tempers flared (implying mine). The Supervisor then went on to say that the carrier isn't like that and its not him. So, he made up his mind without even doing a full investigation of my property and just speaking to the carrier (his relation ship with the carrier). Basically, my word against his and the supervisor knows him and Im wrong. Don't expect understanding when it comes to the 19060 Postal Supervision!!

Convenient, courteous service. Cheaper than every one else. The post office is the only establishment where people go through the roof when a stamp goes up 10 cents for a letter going anywhere in the country. We live in a spoiled country of people who take great business like the U.S.P.S for granted.

Our mail carrier has falsely claimed that our dogs got out. We at Aldine Park have not had mail delivered for a week. There was no notification to me or any of my neighbors that this was happening- I do not believe this is a legal action and will be filing a claim with the management of this branch regarding the unjustified withholding of our mail deliveries- false claim and penalizing 7 residences plus mine for a spurious claim

It's December 20th, 5 days before Christmas, and the post office in Nyack only has 1 employee working customer service and for some reason they choose the rudest employee they have. Every time I go in there she is RUDE with no exceptions. I try never to go to this location. I will drive to the mail and schlep packages through target and down an escalator before I step foot in that location again. Every other post office has nice employees around here except this one. This lady is constantly rude. If it isn't her then it's the guy who takes phone calls and makes you wait. I've had it!!!!!!!! Today I'm sending a package to Great Britain. I wonder if she will "accidentally" misplace it.

Good luck having your packages delivered to an apartment, even if you are home. Expect your parcels to get sent back before you can pick them up.
