Today 10/13/2022 I went out to the porch - in the rain - to pick up a package that was left out in the rain...not only in the rain but right on the top of the steps under the edge of the roof line, directly under the water pouring down on top of the package. The cardboard box was soaking wet..thank heaven the contents were in their individual plastic wrappings but all the paperwork was soaked. Could and should have at least put it on the porch near the front door where it was much drier. After taking the time to walk up to the porch steps, pushing the 2 lb package back a few inches would have at least kept it drier that leaving it directly under the water coming down the eaves. Almost feels as though it was done deliberately to cause damage. Sorry if you feel put upon to do your job. Called the post office twice and phone rang for 3-4 minutes at least with no answer. Will be calling the seller of the contents to let the know the "care" that was taken to deliver their products. I guess this is better than leaving it on the ground outside the garage as has happened so many times in the past.
They never ever ever answer the phone! I have auto redialed for hours-they let is run until it disconnected from their end. It is extremely frustrating. I use the postal service before Fedex/UPS because of the personal interaction/relationship/ trust? I am seriously reconsidering my choices. This happens all the time! Ridiculous!
Tried calling, rang for two-three minutes before anyone picked up the phone. Asked to pick up my package that did not make the mail truck, was told I couldnt because they dont have the "man power" to go through every package because they deal with thousands of residents. Asked to speak with someone higher up, he stated he was the manager there and was very rude when I just need to pick up a package thats needed ASAP.
Monticello NY.... gave my package away and now they claim they can’t do anything about it! Even though it was there fault and the manager agreed it was there fault!! They should be held responsible for there actions and reimburse me my money!! Terrible customer service
we recently had a new mail box installed which was sorely needed. The problem is that the opening is not large enough to take 9x12 envelopes or bigger or extra postage regular envelopes
