I am stunned by the shoddy customer service at this post office. Many times, I have seen lines here that are 7 to 10 people deep, tended to by one woman (named "Carolyn") who is clearly incapable of feeling anything like sense of urgency. Today, I approached this same woman for some help sending packages... And after clearly letting her know what kind of help I needed, I watched while she stared at and fiddled with her computer touch screen. And watched. And watched. For a good three minutes, this woman did not even acknowledge my presence. I finally just left to go to a post office that would actually help me. Believe it or not, though, this was actually an improvement over the last time I was there. That time, Carolyn quickly slapped a "Next Window Please" sign smack in front of me while I was mid-sentence with her. And of course, there was nobody at the next window. This woman is, by every indication, clearly just counting the days until she can start collecting her pension. For all of us in Bedford, that day cannot come soon enough.
