How much should a small standard PO box cost for six months?

I have been a postal customer at the El Prado post office for nearly 20 years. Today, I was informed that my box was locked and had already been rented because I failed to pay my box dues. There has been some mistake. I have not received any notice that that my dues were due. Obviously, I have paid them for the past 20 years - there's been some mistake! But was informed, "nothing can be done, except rent another box" - and spend hours changing my mailing address. How FRUSTRATING! The whole experience has left me feeling unrespected, discarded, just another box to rent. How sad.
