I have lived in Raritan for over 40 years and I cannot complain about my mail service for all these years. I always thought the drive-up mailbox outside the post office on the side of the building was so very convenient. I was very surprised when I drove up to the box to find it had been replaced! Apparently, the handicapped and elderly were not considered when this box was replaced. It is no longer convenient for those handicapped or of elder age. In fact, it is more difficult because it is so far from the curb you must get out of the car. Whoever installed this box should have placed it closer to the curb for it to be just as easier to mail a letter without getting out of your vehicle. Someone was not thinking clearly!!!!

I walked in this morning to work with an employee named Francisco. He told my wife to come back at 11:45 to take passport pictures. It was for me my wife and my two kids. We walk in at 11:50 and she decides to send Francisco to lunch and tells us she can’t help us because she’s the only one there. So why send him to lunch??? She should check with Francisco who by the way admitted to telling us to come at 11:45. So what is Judy’s solution? For us to wait and hope the line dies down so she can help us??? Poor customer service. I will make sure to post my experience on every website possible. If you walked into my establishment I would never treat you or any of our customers the way u did. Shame on you Judy! You’re rude and need more training.

My father worked at this post office for 35 years and he loved it. Maby some of you guys know him. His name is Paul Crago. When my kids were little they used to play in the back and on the loading dock. Everyone was so nice there.

As a none resident of Raritan I always go out of my way to buy my stamps and ship my several priority packages twice a month. It's clean, professional, yet small town feeling all at the same time keeps me coming back. Thanks

The Raritan NJ Post Office is the Post Office from Hell. The my regular carrier supposedly went out on sick leave and his replacement regularly places the mail in the wrong mailboxes. I did not recieve utility bills, credit card bills, Government tax information (NJ W-3 and Annual Report for my company) and missing 1099. Two checks mailed to me totalling $18,500 were delivered to my neighbor's house! This post office is ridiculous!!!! I am ready to call the police! Avoid this post office at all costs!!!

Hi
I had a small amount of those problems back then also. I did some research and found out the regular Post Master at the time was on assignment. So, I'm guessing the interim PM was just that - interim. The post master that's there now is the one who does a good job keeping us Raritan dwellers happy. I've seen her actually carrying mail in the rain last week. Then to come back and run the PO is pretty cool.
