I have missed my PSE&G bill TWICE this year. Missing Insurance call 4 weeks after it was sent out. For the past few weeks no mail from THURSDAY SATURDAY. SOMETHING is DEFINITELY going on with the mail carrier and/or Post Office. Claremont Ave. Montclair

This is the worst post office I’ve ever dealt with. I was hesitant to keep it pending how well the service would be, but I finally paid for my PO Box for an entire year for the first time. I did this despite the fact that one of the two keys I was given never worked. It’s been more than a month and I must still stand in line to wait to get my mail. First I was told the person who handles that was on vacation. Another day there was a similar story but I at least received a telephone number (no name) to reach someone. Today I called that number and was put on hold immediately. When the worker didn’t return, I hung up and dialed again. The same person answered the phone and this time she was angry with me because I wanted to know how she could service me if she never asked for my PO box number. She even called me “Miss Annette “ and we never met (to my recollection). I thanked her for her professionalism before I hung up. I have lived here over 30 years and the service has continually declined. I would like to say to my neighbors, yes, go to another post office to get your business taken care of, but remember this: you’re paying for this service, hold people accountable. Exercise your right to get what you paid for or nothing will change. Also, good luck. The postal telephones are a technician’s nightmare and leadership appears to be absent. Hopefully this message makes it through.

I supposedly received a package on Saturday- I got a notification that it had been delivered. However, you can see our mailbox from the front window, and no one had been there at all. Two days later, the package had still not shown up, so I went to the post office. The supervisor promised to speak to the mail carrier, but we have still not heard anything. This is not the first time this has happened- our mail carrier marks packages as "delivered" without ever delivering them several times a year. No one picks up when I call the number above, so it looks like I will need to make another in-person visit tonight. Whoever delivers mail on my route really needs to step up their game- I've had more things go missing at this address than at any other place I've ever lived.

The daily mail delivery for the past two weeks have been extraordinarily light. No magazines, grocery store circulars, Montclair Times etc. I live on Grove St in Montclair and often times the mailbox door is left open but have heard it slammed while on calls and haven't been able to catch the delivery person. It's easy to close since the Mailperson last weekend did it w/out effort. Tried calling the Post Office on Glen Ridge, no one picks up and the 800# selection doesn't apply. A simple email response or just pick up the phone is appreciated.

Our mail person keeps leaving our mail all over : on the steps, on hooks of the mailbox. We chase our important mail down the neighbors driveway or down the street when it’s windy. Yesterday we had donation boxes out for pick up, so mailman just placed mail on top of them. It rained hard and we were not home tonight, and it is soaking wet. Impossible to reach them over the phone

My family purchased a PO Box because we were having issues with our mail delivery at our apartment building relieving packages , well we’re still having issues and paying for those issues missing packages being told maybe one of the other family members picked it up almost to the pint of accusing us of stealing from one another !!! We all reside in the same building and don’t steal from each other .. but on the other end of that our packages are always missed placed in the wrong box we’re still getting the last renters mail !!! Why ??? Cant never get anyone on the phone and folks are so non- chalant about your mail or packages like they don’t have a care in the world !!! When my year is up I will not renew my PO Box at the Glenride Avenue Branch Montclair I will take the ride to Valley St, Branch I can’t do this up-professional never having a manager to speak with about your concerns place and I’m literally right around the corner from this post office !!!!!

Worse Post office in history! Crematorium charged extra to have a signature required for my late husband's ashes. Mail carrier left cremated remains on my front step without a signature. Package marked with red stickers, "cremated remains". Address is high foot traffic. Ashes could have been taken. This was Feb. 21, 2020 before the lockdown on Covid 19. Shameful!!!!!!

Checks from.insurance companies and patients are not being delivered because the mail person isn't looking where my mail slot at the base of the offices door is. Today is 3/5/20, I have not received any mail for the past 2-days. I always get mail every day even if it's junk mail. Normally I would not mind but I have been waiting for something to come through the the mail and I still have not received it. This is not the first time this has happened and I do believe it will not be the last. I have also tried to call the PO in Monclair and no one seems to want to pick up, I find this very unexceptable and someone should be assigned to answering the phones because we have the right to complain if someone is not doing their job.

Awful. How does something get brought to the Montclair post office to be mailed out on 12/21 and people are just getting it NOW with a post date of 1/17? Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

I agree with most comments made below - the PO in Montclair, NJ is very slow in answering the phone. Anyway in the beginning of the week I called and spoke to a supervisor and I advised him that I had a Fedex package that was at the PO and that I could not pick it up because I work M-S and he told me it would be delivered that day and after I hung up my mail was outside with no Fedex package. Today is Thursday and I still do not have my package. Could someone please advise them to deliver my package - I have packages, especially with Fedex deliver all the time, I just can't understand what the problem is. Someone, please deliver my package!

It is criminal to see how little is done at this post office. The least challenging task of answering a ringing phone is even neglected. As a young person who refuses to use snail-mail most of the time anyway, this awful experience will ensure that I forego the USPS from now on. Keep it up guys, in a few years there will be no USPS at all for the EXACT reasons.

This Post Office is unbelievable. I called for 3 days and no one answers the phone. I emailed the postmaster using the address on your website and it was undeliverable. How are we able to contact the post office? I sent a Birthday Card to my daughter in Montclair on February 15, 2018 and it still has not been delivered. This is a long time for delivery. Perhaps you should re-evaluate how you do business. I see that I am not the only person unhappy with your service.

I bring packages to this location to be shipped and they aren't even scanned into the system for 2-3 days. No one will answer the local telephone number. It's hit or miss as to whether you get someone pleasant or someone awful while waiting in line.

This place is terrible, they don't deliver most of our mail ontime, and there are some days where they barely deliver at all.
