I just attempted to send a prepaid postage package at the Downtown postal branch; however, I had underestimated the weight by 5 ounces (2lbs. vs. 2lbs. 5 ounces) and therefore did not have enough prepaid postage. I was told that I couldn’t pay the difference because the employee did not know the prepaid amount. I ended up paying the entire postage amount out-of-pocket. I know that it’s not a tremendous amount of money, but I don’t believe that adding additional postage to a prepaid package falls outside of normal occurrences at a busy post office branch like this one.

DO NOT APPLY FOR YOUR PASSPORTS HERE!!! I waited in line for 2hrs + and the person processed 3 individuals! 3! Unfortunately I did not bring a days worth of food for my baby and had to leave. Instead I made an appointment at another location and it went very quickly. If I was this inefficient at my job, I would have been fired 100x over! Absolutely ridiculous. Some advice, if people have not filled out the forms, send them off to the side to fill them out similar to when people haven't done the same when shipping a package... Hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 11am. Get there at 8am and wait for 9am. You will thank me!
