The mail at my Condo, 77 Hanover St, Portsmouth, NH 03801, is just being left out on the counter, happily in order by name. The outbound mail is not being picked up. Is there a problem with the temporary carrier not having a key to the mail box?

Horrible horrible horrible service. Not once, in the 10 years I've been in Portsmouth has USPS delivered a package, on time or to the correct location. I have gone to the physical USPS near me and every time they mess my order up. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I was at the PO on last week. There was a male speaking at length with a clerk, without a mask on. The transaction took at least 20 minutes, moist of the the time he was leaning over the counter past the spit screen so he could speak with the agent. There was at least 5 people waiting in line, all masked. When this person left - I hesitate to call him a gentleman - I asked the clerk, how was he able to be in here without wearing a mask. One person in line stated - "because he is an idiot". Neither of the two clerks said anything other than "Oh, I've never seen him wear a mask". I said but it's a federal mandate to wear a mask in Federal Buildings. They just ignored me. I have written to the postal service with a complaint. I am amazed that the post office did not refuse him entrance to the office or service. I am amazed that the agent allowed him to speak to her without a mask. I am not surprised that there are still idiots out there that are selfish enough to risk other peoples health by not wearing a mask. Considering how he looked, I would have thought that he would have welcomed a good reason to wear a mask

Not everyone is as paranoid as you. You are wearing a mask, so you must assume they work; therefore consider yourself protected. Stop being so selfish to assume that you can tell strangers how to live their lives.

First - I'm not paranoid. Second - the person not wearing their mask was selfish in putting other people at danger for his own comfort. And third - it is Federal Mandated to wear masks in a Federal facility so this person was breaking the law. And fourth - I never told this stranger how they should live their live - I'm assuming that they wouldn't care what I thought, I questioned the postal workers as to why they allowed this person to enter into the facility without having a mask on. And fifth - MYOFB.

How was he "putting other people at risk" if you claim others had their masks on? If masks work so well, you're protected, no? If you want extra protection, wear five masks rather than pushing others to blindly follow the herd. And you made this my business by posting (b*tching) on a public forum. If you want all the government control, move to MA.

What part about a Federal requirement - not state - requiring everyone to wear masks in a Federal Building don't you understand. By not wearing a mask indoors during a pandemic he is reducing the effectiveness of everyone's masks and therefore his selfishness, and his inability to obey the law is putting people at risk. I don't expect people to blindly follow the herd, just listen to the science and follow the law. I'm assuming that you must not have faith in either of these so our conversation is going nowhere. Have some more Kool Aid.

I greatly value the US Post Office and the service their carrier give to all Americans. I use the USPO, not Fed Ex, or UPS and buy stamps.. Our postal carrier at TideWatch condominums (and I don't know if it is the same carrier all the time) but when I meet them, are always friendly and courteous . However. a package had been sitting for days on the counter, brought to the wrong address. Someone tried to mark it delivered wrong and left it on the mail boxes. Today went I went to check my box, there was a noote taped to it that read: " This package was misdelivered by Amazon not the US Postal Service. We will not be fixing their mistakes. Jeff Bezos can do it!" I am offended that this unnecessary slam against Jeff Bezos was left in our mail room. If it was written by the mail carrier , it is highly inappropriate. It smacks of politics. And it was in a USPO mailing envelop. So if the mail carrier doesn't want to deliver Amazon packages, (which due to the corona virus, half of America is forced to buy items online,) then they should keep their politics out of their job. Or find other employment..

The Portsmouth postal system is the worst I have ever experienced. I have lived in several states and never seen the poor service I have experienced here. I have submitted change if address and mail forwarding. But my mail continues to be delivered to the old address. I submit a home mail request and mail continues to be delivered OR I submit a hold mail and the mail is never delivered when the hold mail is over. I could go on and on. I finally got a P.O.box but it hasn't even helped the situation!! Worst service ever!

I find the team at Portsmouth post office locations and the mail carriers to all be fantastic. You would think for a government system they would do their job without so much concern for the customer. I feel like an appreciated patron!
