WHY DO WE CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS RECEIVING THE OMAHA WORLD HERALD ON TIME? I WROTE TO THE WH AND THIS IS THE REPLY I GOT:: As for why you receive the papers a day late, I can follow up on this with the main office but all addresses are routed per the instructions of the USPS and this is done with software mandated by them. The software parses an address and assigns the routing designated by the USPS. The papers leave our print facility docks on time and are driven to the main USPS facility for that property and from there, the USPS handles the delivery based on the routing mandated by the USPS. The USPS defines newspapers as periodical postage and the they classify them amongst the lowest class of their mailings. They can work periodical postage the day it arrives or if they cannot it can be held for other days. The USPS can then route subscriber mail to the local post office, but depending on the size of the subscribers town it may first be routed to a larger hub (farther away) and then comes back to subscribers local community. Per the labeling/routing from the USPS we cannot change subscribers label to improve this. The local post office is never the issue in this. I would recommend contacting the main hub of your local post office. I hope this information is helpful; if you have any questions please contact us. PLEASE GET THIS PROBLEM FIGURED OUT!!!

What’s going on with the mail delivery the last two days? Our son, Joe, received our mail yesterday. Hope you’ve got this mess figured out?
