The counter postal workers at the Clayton post office are very friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that time and time again I find the package mail box either jammed or locked at all different times. I’m not sure why it’s open some nights, and other nights I find it locked. It is very aggravating and inconsistent. Many times, I’ve had to return the next day, again to mail out packages. It would be nice to see another package chute added and a sign up telling everyone when it will be locked.

We are receiving other neighbors mail quite frequently. Also, our Amazon packages that are delivered by USPS are being left in front of the garage where they get rained on or can easily be seen by others to steal. Please deliver all packages to the back porch.

My neighbor thinks I’m his personal mailman. His/my mailman keeps leaving my mail at his house and his mail at my house. I think our mailman can’t read or perhaps needs eye glasses. It happens so often that it’s really sad.

Can you tell me why my package has been at your office since Feb 6 th? Also, when I call please do not pick up and hang up! We have gotten others packages, others mail, others bills... why is this? I have had package held, with written on it hold as per customers request . Really? Getting tired of all this incompetent services. Will have to go much higher up to post a complaint. There’s no reason for such service. Maybe the person delivering wants to work less or go home early?

I am very upset right now. I have been waiting since Wednesday, Feb 10, 2021 for a package to be delivered. I checked on Thursday, Feb 11 and it said that it was in the possession of the Clayton Post Office. I waited Friday, Feb 12 for a delivery and now it is Saturday, Feb 13 and still no package. Where is it?

I have tried to call the Clayton P.O. this afternoon, but it has been busy as always until closing, with no one to talk to. For years now, IMPORTANT mail has been intermittently misdelivered. This time it's my credit card statement. When I called today, the credit card company said it was mailed to me on October 23, 2020. It's now November 18, 2020. The bill is due in 3 days. I don't know if my statement was misdelivered, thrown away, or sitting at the bottom of a carrier's floorboard. I know I am tired of this and have expressed this a number of times over the years. Substitute drivers, in particular, should be knowledgeable in delivering mail. If people are going to work as carriers, they need to take the job seriously, as customers are very serious about their mail. As far as I can see, it is a federal offense if my mail is not delivered as addressed. A few slack employees make everyone look bad.

My elderly parents had mail in their box with flag up a couple weeks ago and driver went by on Academy ln. and didn't stop. We are on Grill Rd. and I had 2 bills in box yesterday. A small package was pushed in and one of my bills was behind it still in box. Today it was picked up but I also received 3 pieces of mail belonging to 2 different neighbors. This is July 3rd and now weekend with holiday so when will they get their mail?

I witnessed a driver today back into my vehicle that is parked in my driveway. They drove up and parked at the top only to back into my vehicle on the way back down. When I confronted them they told me they pushed in the mirror before hitting but I have video proof that isn’t the case. From here on out it would be preferred that no one drives into the driveway and walks the package to the door. I tried calling in but no one answers.

Why is it taking so long for first class mail to get from Southport, NC to Clayton, NC. I sent 2 first class envelopes last week. One to Campobello, SC and one to Clayton, NC. The one to Campobello has already arrived. The one to Clayton is still not there. Is the mail to Clayton going through Charlotte or Fayetteville?

Dona is our carries at North Farm Drive here in Clayton. She is polite, professional and obviously a very hard worker. During the pandemic we are concerned about all postal workers being over worked and under paid and we all need to appreciate our carriers. Thank you, Dona and everyone at the main office. Stay safe!

I am in Florida and recently sent an envelope of sensitive papers to my daughter at my home in Clayton. The envelope got sent to the wrong address-we discovered in tracking it. TAMMY at the Clayton post office drove to that address and found my envelope. Today when the regular carrier wasn’t there, TAMMY drove my envelope to my daughter herself! The most helpful, best customer service ever! THANK YOU TAMMY!

I watched as a postman left a package ,on the ground ,8 feet away from my mailbox .leaning against a post.My dog was inside, never even barked and my drive way is 100 feet long and it is about to rain. This is an Amazon prime package. My usual girl is so sweet, walks up and puts things on COVERED porch even. She is great, was not her,it was a man. This would not even be protected by the fed law governing mail tampering,it was on the ground8feet away from the mailbox. This is ridiculous.Oh,it is starting to rain. How is this okay?

Was to have 9 pieces of mail and a package delivered to me yesterday. I put mail in the box early yesterday morning and raised the red flag on my mail box at around 8am to be mailed out. Waited all day for the mail and package to be delivered. Even waited up to 10:30pm ...no mail no package. Today so far no mail delivery either. Tried calling Clayton PO and all it does is ring and hang up. Giving it another hour and I’m calling the Post Master General in DC and filing a complaint!

The tax preparer I used put an old address on my return for the past two years. Last year I was able to go to the clayton post office and pick it up. This year they are acting like I'm trying to steal MY return. When I realized the preparer had used the wrong address again I went on line and did a "hold mail" thinking that would solve the issue. I have called everyday for a week to see if the check has come...even went the post office on March 8th....only to be told the check hadn't arrived. Phone calls with Heather were pleasant as she tried to help. But on March 9th I called and was rudely spoken to by David...explained my situation and was told I was confusing him when it was clearly him who tried to confuse me as if I were telling a lie. All I wanted to do was find out if the check had been returned to department of revenue so I can take the next step as department of revenue instructed me to do. DAVID....PLEASE USE BETTER DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC SKILLS!!!!!

I’m tired of the delivery personnel using the ‘handdd of directly’ prompt when they CLEARLY are NOT!!!! Handed off direct means handed to ME !!! Left on porch is fine - when left on porch- or my lazy ass shoved it in your mailbox ( or didn’t cause it’s too small or full ) but still take credit for delivery. That’s fraud guys - and as ‘federal employees- sounds like federal fraud!! Look if you bean counters are so heavy handed on delivery guys you’re making them lie to make your freaking numbers !! I’m calling you out - now - otherwise you just have a bunch of half ass carriers and need to re-evaluate! Tell the damn truth- it will be refreshing and perhaps will set you free.

Sorry...But I have to say I am sending this electronically because I have little confidence in your postal workers...In the last two weeks on several occasions the letter carrier for our neighborhood has delivered one of my neighbor's mail twice, and my next door neighbor told me she had gotten some of my mail...important mail...please correct your problems....honestly, I don't recall ever getting our neighbors' mail when I was growing up...DO YOUR JOB

Same mail carrier using their personal maroon SUV in the Pine Hollow Golf Course is marking packages as DELIVERED when actually they aren't delivered at all (who knows where they went). I've even seen the SUV return later that day and go back into my mailbox and take something. This is the 4th time! I try to call the local number but it's always busy. I'm filing several claims today with the 1-800 number.

What terrible mail service ! This is not the first time that the carrier has jammed everything into my mailbox ! I ordered 7 curtains from Overstock, all my mail, catalogs, etc where jammed in there with the curtain package doubled over and squeezed in there too! Happens ALL the time! Last time it was pictures! Lazy people!

I called today because I purchased a number of items off amazon and the items were shipped to my old address. The woman that answered the phone was rude and short with me. I actually have never been treated so poorly by a post office employee. I'm glad I moved.

Tried to call the office, line always busy. Our mail carrier ran over one of our lanterns at the end of our driveway, and just drove off. She rides all over the lawns and speeds though the neighbor hood. I would love to speak to someone. Our carrier right now stinks. Not sure what happened to the man who used to deliver, a really nice guy.

Expected a package today, said out for delivery. Guess what I received no mail at all for Saturday delivery. Go back online to check status, says no update available. Did the mail not run on Saturday, or was my carrier not delivering all mail for that day? Guess I will make a call on Monday to see why it was not delivered.
