Very poor service. I just wasted a gallon of gas and an hour of my time because the USPS cant seem to do its job properly. The post office made a half assed attempt to deliver a package to my address. It was to big to fit in the mail box so they left a note for pick-up instead of leaving it on my door step. Given the rates that the USPS charges these days if the post office is going to do package delivery then it needs to do more than taking the easiest way out. If you cant do the job properly then don't attempt to do it at all. If it doesn't fit in the mail box leave it on the door step. Its approx a 20 mile round trip to the Vichy post office from my house. Since its a pretty good drive I checked the Saturday hours on the web. The Saturday hours were given as 1 pm to 4 pm. I got to the post office at 1:30 pm and the place was closed. The hours were listed on the door as 8:30 am to 10:15 am. Now I'm pissed. I just wasted a gallon of gas and an hour of my time because of inaccurate information given on the USPS web site. If you give information on your web site it needs to be current and accurate or don't give it at all. If you had not listed the hours I would have called an checked but since they were listed I assumed they were correct. I guess I should have known better.I make $38/hr and gas is $3/gal. The way I see it the USPS owes me for one gallon of gas and an hour of my time which totals $41. Unlike the federal government I wont make a claim for penalties and interest. I will just claim my out of pocket expenses and my wasted time. The post office needs to be accountable for there actions just as I am accountable for mine. No excuse is acceptable for giving inaccurate information to the public on your official web site. I have no doubt that any change in office hours are known well in advance and required web updates should be completed before any changes go into effect. All information given should be accurate and current. The USPS may send a check to my address below for the $41 it owes me.Lindell Baker16600 Hwy AVichy, MO 65580

I feel your pain, but it says 12:30 on Saturday, on a situation like yours you really need to call them by phone before heading out, but I too am disgusted with the delivery service, all the crap mail come right through ant the important stuff I'm expecting always seems to be delayed or worse, I'm fed the bleep up and I'm opening a PO Box tomorrow, I can pickup my mail and or packages 24 hours a day
