It’s terrible that a city the size of Springfield doesn’t process mail 24/7 at the main post office, and that our distribution center is in Kansas City. It’s pathetic.

I believe a ‘Scammer’ tried to get Personal info from Me this aftrn by wanting a Credit Card Name, Exp Date, and Credit Card #…claiming They had a Package ‘undeliverable, because of inadequate info and address’!!! And because I just moved, and (went thru an INCREDIBLE process with the USPS to change My address) I thought it MIGHT be authentic!!! But I believe it’s a scam!!! I didn’t provide CC Name, or CC Number, or Exp Date!! IF You want to see, or have what was sent to Me, I’ll go to the P.O. On Chestnut tomorrow, Saturday 7/29/23, or Monday 7/30/23.., Just let Me know IF You want the info… Respectfully, James H Brennecke Springfield, Mo

Was suppose to receive a package and instead of dropping it off they decided to mark as “unable to deliver” as I’m STANDING IN MY DRIVEWAY WHILE DRIVER WAS AT MY MAIL BOX.

Tired of mail person not closing door on mailbox all the way. Door falls open again. I’m not the only one in the neighborhood having this problem.

Neighbors are delivering our mail. 3 times this week, been delivered to wrong address. Once medication. They opened the medication, but we know them. What if someone got it we don’t know? This website says starting salary $72,000. That’s way too much salary for quality of service we’re getting.

well paid $26 dollars for over night delivery. And it did really good got Missouri in about 10 hours. Then it sat and it sat and this was on Saturday it was to be delivered on Saturday at 6pm...its in Springfield its only 45 minutes driver from Springfield to Branson. But know it sat there. And even thought it advertised that they deliver 24/7 I guess Springfield did get the memo. Its Sunday and its one of those 24/7 days but no my package won't be delivered to me cause Springfield is closed on Sundays....you guys SUCK...this is medications that need to not only be taken but need storage in a cool place so who knows where my precious package is at Springfield where they font care if your package get to you or not and they have to now pay back the shipping fee and probably the $100 insurance fee also can't see medications being ok nice job Springfield...NOT!

The man broke my screen and walked away. Called and they have not returned calls to fix my door. Next day two trucks pull out front in the no parking zone and after half an hour my neighbor and I walk out to see if we could get our mail and they were engaged in mouth to mouth. We informed them they were not only in a zone they were also parked on my grass. Where are these new ones coming from.

It’s been over two months and my neighbors have received all my mail. Instead of me. I don’t get it is the mail man, on drugs? It clearly shows my name and address correctly as shown on my mail box!!! Ugh.. and no one can help me! Everytime I have called the office or showed up they just tell me to fill out a request to change address slip or do it online? That’s not the problem.

I have the USPS informed delivery and I was supposed to get very important things from the social security office. I had no other choice than to get it by mail and I tried to not because my mailman puts mail in whichever apartment box he feels like for the day! I constantly get my neighbors mail vise-versa anyway, I never got my thing from the social security office. I called and was on hold for HOURS with no answer and then I drove to the post office and the manager basically told me to screw off. As someone who works in healthcare and saves lives, putting mail in the right box is not that hard and I know mailmen get paid well. I’m up a creek without a paddle and NO-ONE will answer the phones or help me. After my second try at talking to the manager and her telling me that she can’t do anything, I decided to call gain. Currently I’ve been on hold for 2 hours. I don’t have time for this . Please get better mailmen who put in effort.

Once again I have received mail belonging to Rachel Baker 3729 S. Christine Ave. The residents there have personally brought MY mail to me that was delivered to them and also marked my mail as wrong address and had postman deliver it to me. I understand both street numbers are the same but Christine looks nothing like Mentor. Thank you Wilson Ruhe 3729 S. Mentor Ave.

we just had a package delivered that was DESTROYED. The package was CLEARLY marked as fragile, and yet no regard or care was taken whatsoever. Instead, I had to deal with broken glass everywhere. The package was half torn open, I cannot believe whoever delivered this thought it was acceptable. $140 worth of stuff destroyed.

I just witnessed the postal worker for my neighborhood smoking a cigarette in her truck while simultaneously sorting mail. Seeing as we are in the middle of a growing crisis this seems horribly irresponsible and dangerous. My elderly, immunocompromised parents also live in my neighborhood and will receive mail from this unsanitary mailworker.

I live in Emerald Park subdivision. The have the upright decorative metal mailboxes that has both a slot to drop mail in the front and a door that swings open on the front bottom. Today, our mail person opened the door completely open and set an Amazon package in it. The problem was the package was hanging out of the box about 5 inches with the door wide open. Coming down the street it was obvious there was a package sticking out of the mail box. I couldn’t believe someone would be that lazy and irresponsible. A person could have just pulled up and reached out and got a $500 iPad without even getting out of their vehicle. This is an entirely unacceptable situation.

I've received mail at my address belonging to people at another address. I was told yesterday by my attorney that a letter they recently sent me was returned to them. The address on the letter is my current address. I'm receiving mail and packages for the past residents at my address for the past six months. I've mailed letters that were never received. I'm concerned that my mail is either not arriving here or being delivered where I mail it.

Why bother having phone numbers if no one is ever answering them? I waited for two solid hours straight and repeatedly got nothing but a busy signal and then every time I dialed the 1-800 ask USPS I could get nothing but the automated line. When you have a problem or question that needs interaction with a live person to attempt resolution, as mine does, it is abysmal customer service not to have that live person option or to make it so incredibly difficult that there is only frustration in every attempt to resolve the problem. The post office should not be bragging in its commercials about its service when you can never get in touch with a live person to resolve problems.

I have had SO much trouble with the Springfield USPS, from the start, when I moved here in early 2006.(EDITED).. and I would bet that it shows up all jumbled, compared to the original post which, of course,
one can not edit. Just the way these guys operate / what kind of keen service they offer.Lost mail, and never returned, going to the wrong household OR next door
neighbor, plus getting theirs, overdue bills / late fees, fines, etc.. One gal
at the main / downtown P.O. even kept the coinage of change owed me! I
have complained several times, to no avail. Even got the proper e-mail
address to send complaints to, then got confirmation email and
confirmation #, saying it would be reviewed / addressed. A few weeks
later, I contacted them, including the # and got an email back telling
me that it was not ever received nor on file!! Carriers tend to not
securely shut, or leave open, residential mailboxes,.. mine and I see
others, all of the time. The mail is SLOW, too. Before, but especially
since they started routing mail through the Kansas City hub. And I have
NEVER seen service so lackadaisical at the post offices.. again, SLOW,
waiting in line for 15 minutes or more is common, during busy hours. And
I am not including holiday periods. I don't know how other post
offices are operating, across the nation, but this is DEFINITELY the
WORST one / area that I have EVER had to deal with. My list of
complaints is as long as my arm. And I do not have short arms! I will
finish by revealing that I have a P.O. Box for business, along with
automatic email notifications. That said, they do NOT, and it is not
their POLICY to do so, send you email notifications, regarding BOX fees
due. WHAT?!! They said they figure folks check them every day or often.
NO, I do so only when I get NOTIFICATIONS! Why go waste a trip and gas
money, if there is no mail, THUS the convenience of notifications?!?
DUHmazing!
About a month ago, I had three notifications within 4 days, BUT... when
I went there and opened my P.O. Box... NOTHING!!!
duhMAZING!!!!!! END... Over and Out. (sigh)

I see that it says employees don't read these comments. Well, they absolutely should!! Then maybe you all would pride yourself a little more on customer service! Worst post office I have ever been to. The passport/claims lady was so unprofessional and rude. She was no help at all and didn't seem to care one bit. I have been to that office (with an appointment) twice now, trying to get a passport and having to go back a third time because the lady at the front desk who "handles" the appointments fails to tell you any information what so ever that first time passport applicants might want/need to know. The FIRST time I went I had all my information and documents that I needed all she had to do was process the application and send my documents in and she said sorry if you don't have an appt i can't do anything for you. No one was even there and it looked like she wasn't doing a dang thing but twirling a pen.By the time she got done rejecting me the application could have been processed and sent through. Respectfully I said ok, I would like to make an appointment so I did. she went through her appt book and changed the time 3 different times then finally settled on an afternoon appointment time. I left the post office that day and returned several days later to my appt date, got right in with all the documents and application ready. Did everything and she proceeded to ask for my form of payment. I said ok I would like to use a credit card. She then responded with we cant do that!!? DONT YOU THINK THE FORM OF PAYMENTS THAT ARE ACCEPTED FOR FIRST TIME PASSPORT APPLICANTS IS A PRETTY IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION YOU SHOULD TELL SOMEONE BEFORE HAND? She smarted off and told me that it wasn't her job to tell me all that I needed to get my passport and most of the information was already online.(which only accepting cash/check or a cashier's check is not on any of he public online information anywhere) I went online to find the information that I needed before hand and that is why I printed off the applications myself and had everything ready to go. It makes me extremely upset the way I have been talked to and treated by this woman. I will not be doing any sort of business there again. Worst customer service I have EVER received. You all should probably do a workshop on customer service and hire people who have actual people skills and good personalities and not just someone who takes advantage of the fact that she knows she will walk home with a paycheck regardless of how she treats each individual.
