I order from an online company from time to time. They use the post office for delivery. I have had three packages confirmed as delivered, never have they shown up in my mailbox. The sending company notifies me of where the package is along the route, so I have chosen to watch. The package does not arrive yet is marked delivered. There is definitely a thief at the Southfield PO.
sent my grandson a cell phone for his birthday. taped package with thick tape. wrap it around package. pone was stolen he received a empty box. so needless to say they have a thief working at our post office.
I went to Lasher & 11 mile post office April 10, 2018 to do an address change. An employee was walking by & I asked where were the change of address forms? He had some in his hand & handed me one...not saying a word even after I said “thank you”. I approached the counter and handed the well excuse me, Mr. I Hate My Job!! I handed the woman behind the counter the change of address form and she stated it was the wrong form. I think her personality was still out to lunch! Anyway, She stated it would take 7-10 days before I would receive any mail. 15 days later I return inquiring about my mail, spoke with another female who abruptly interrupted me and stated that was the normal length of time. She didn’t ask anyone, she didn’t look in their system.. cut and dry that’s “the new procedure” now. It’s now May 31st and I go back “HEATED” I ask for a supervisor or manager. A young man (Mylen) comes out stating he was the supervisor with another lady Venita. He was about as helpful as me being broke with a $3 bill!!! Venita ( not a supervisor or manager, but should be) she took control of the situation, she looked into their system and stated “the request had never been entered”. She assured me she would take care of the issue...but wait there’s more.... now I have to wait another 2-3 weeks!!!!! There’s a ton of people who need jobs!
Been home all day and they lied about coming to my apartment door. Go to the mailbox and its a sorry we missed you note. Today is Dec. 23 now my kid gonna miss his Drone because my mail person was lazy. This is unacceptable.

I have seen a lot of lazy people in my life...but they all pale in comparison to the people that "work" at this post office. My mail carrier is nothing more than a waste of flesh and air! She is a mail carrier but yet, I NEVER GET MY MAIL! I'm a server and I doubt it'd fly if I just one day decided to not serve people food...thats not how jobs work. This is a reoccuring problem where I'll order something from Amazon and other online sites where I pay an anual fee to get my sh*t in 2 days to my door, and not ONLY that, i have it set up for the carrier to leave it if nobody's home. Not only does she NEVER leave it....99% OF THE TIME SHE DOESN'T EVEN BRING MY PACKAGES! I'm at home waiting on the mail and i get a notification from the place I ordered from...ATTEMPTED DELIVERY NOBODY AT RESIDENCE....so i look outside and she's not even at my house! She's lazy AF so she scans my sh*t at the post office and doesn't even bring it with her on the truck! and if thats not bad enough...SHE DOESNT EVEN LEAVE A SLIP SO I CAN GO PICK IT UP UNTIL WHENEVER SHE JUST GETS AROUND TO IT! We've had to chase this b*tch down in her mail truck to get our mail...i'm not even exaggerating. I overheard her and the FedEX woman bragging about how they just deliver whatever they feel like delivering that day and nobody can do anything about it. Real cute. The most unprofessional joke of a woman i've ever had to deal with. A retarded monkey could do a better job.
Worst Mail Carriers EVER!!! Two items out for deliver today, one shows up and then several hours later the 2nd item is still missing and Carrier posts there was animal interference?! I have ZERO pets and the rest of my mail got here. Explain that loser who forgot to give me all pieces of my mail!!!!
Paid for first class mailing, letter was suppose to reach distinction on the 1st till hasn't reached there. We you call you get a voice recording that tell you nothing. I guess I'll tell people to go fed-X from know owe.
This post office never answers the phone. They don't deliver your mail most of the time. I have made numerous complaints and still no change. The post office is unprofessional and so are the mail carriers I haven't received any mail for the last week and been expecting something in the mail since April 22, 2014 and it is now April 30, 2014 it never takes this long to receive mail. my zip code is 48033.
No one will pick up the phone. This is pathetic. I'm trying to get a passport and I've been referred to this office by other offices and I'm not going to drive out there to be told I need an appointment. Others have commented months ago with the same issue. This is unacceptable.
I am having the SAME problem. Several offices state that you need an appointment. How can I make an appointment if you WILL NOT answer the phone. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

The worst customer service ever! You never get to speak with an actual person no matter what number pressed on the phone. No Passport Service available over the phone. Couldn't get an appointment to renew a passport. The employees are rude and have no customer service training. This location serves no purpose.!
This is by far one of the slowest post offices I've been to. The lines are often really long and the speed of service is VERY slow. They're often low or out of supplies, which seems counterproductive to all the advertising they do for the flat rate and express mail options. There seem to be a lot of people moving about at a very slow pace, not doing much. I was not thirlled when one of the 3 clerks took their 15 minute break when the line was to the door, of course I was still there when she returned, hardly moved. Perhaps they could use more training as well, on several occassions more than one clerk was helping 1 customer. I waited for 50 minutes, with 8 people in front of me. One of my 2 day shipments took over 5 to arrive to the destination, note the weather was bad.
Hate their voicemail system every number you hit is wrong and can't get an actual Human being to speak with. No mail for 2 days now.. don't like the post office parking lot and never have enough attendants to help at windows
Good luck - EVER getting an employee on the phone. Every extension that is hit, goes to a recording that they are busy with customers or unable to take your call, but please leave a message - goes to recording stating that you are unable to leave a message. I have been calling for 3 days now!! We are a medical facility and have mail everyday, delivery use to be by 11:30 every day. Now - 1:30 to 2:30. This past Tuesday 4pm and yesterday - no delivery no pick-up!! We have a minimum of 25 pieces per day. Horrible customer service! I have many friends that work for USPS and I used to send all packages through them. Now I mostly use UPS or FedEx. You call and they answer!! Never a lost package and it arrives on time, every time!
Certified letter with signature confirmation kept coming back from this post office with no printed name, date (I paid $10 for this service). My post office sent a polite note reminding them to get that information Delivery person sent a rude note back to my post office saying he knew how to DO HIS JOB! He also delivered it a week late and made no electronic recording so I have no proof. How do this hostile morons keep their jobs?
Southfield, MI post office on 11 Mile road has the WORST costumer service. EVER. I have never experienced such horrible employees. They are all miserable, and show that they hate their jobs. They are not helpful what so ever, and I DISPISE going there. They treat their customers as if we are an inconvience.I will say there are a few select employees that are amazing, such as our specific mail courier, and one african american gentleman in the mailroom who always has a smile on his face.
UNBELIEVABLE! This USPS in located just outside of Detroit and in a city with a large African American citizenry and THEY of all places ran out of the Forever stamp with Rosa Parks on it within 4 hours of it's first day introduction. Reportedly, they don't know when they'll be getting more!! No wonder the USPS is losing ground. That is very shortsighted by management at this office.
