Dear Friends, Saline USPS is my ONLY mail facility, although sometimes I also ship parcels via UPS. Saline USPS clerks have always been courteous and pleasant. I have NEVER had a problem, and have NEVER witnessed another customer with a problem either. I am VERY pleased with Saline USPS' service.

I am writing to complain of the unwarranted, rude and disrespectful treatment I received today (5/3/2023) from Post Master Virgil Roddy. The Saline post office mistakenly blocked my PO Box for a month and was returning my mail to the senders. The clerk apologized and told me the block would be removed. When I complained of the inconvenience of losing a month of service AND having my mail returned, the clerk checked with the Post Master and I was told I would be credited for one month. If I had made s similar mistake, the Post Office would have had me pay for the month AND pay an additional penalty. So, I asked to discuss the possibility of an additional credit with the Post Master. Virgil Roddy came to the counter and responded to my request with a two word answer “That’s ridiculous”, followed by a prolonged stare indicating to me that his part in the “conversation” was over. I was taken aback by Mr. Roddy’s comment and was left to stare back at him. Mr. Roddy’s continued stare confirmed the conversation was over, so I thanked him and left. I’m writing in hopes that Mr. Roddy’s unwarranted, rude and disrespectful behavior is noted and modified in some positive way.

I called to get information regarding two pieces of mail that were not delivered due to no resident to sign at home. We were unaware that certified mail was attempting to be delivered. The man that answered (Virgil) was disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude! Something needs to be done about the employees at the Saline Post Office. If you hate your job that much, QUIT!

After waiting in line today for about 10 minutes, the only employee working behind the counter made an announcement that her coworker was on a lunch break, and she was working on the current customers' passports which would take another 40 minutes. The eight of us in line all walked out, and some of us took our business to the UPS store around the corner. Knowing that Passports (applying for or renewing) have to be by appointment only, why does the USPS schedule passport appts over the lunch hour? I would like to suggest that passport appts cannot be scheduled over the lunch hour! The Saline USPS needs to do better and provide better customer service.

I've sent an international express post parcel to a dear friend in Saline, not realising that she had given up her post box awhile ago! I've had notification from Australia Post that delivery has been attempted. i do hope you will be able to forward that parcel to my friend at her current address and NOT return it to Australia! International post is so expensive these days and I paid extra for express post.

My husband took my priority mail package - with items going to a customer of my glass business to the Saline post office on Tuesday May 26 at 1:00 pm along with 4 other first class mail packages. On May 27, May 28 and May 29 the package showed pre transit. I opened a case on May 27. On May 29 my husband called the Saline post office and the lady who answered the phone said that pre transit was normal. Interesting since after sending 1300 packages over the last 7 years this is the first one that showed pre transit for more than a few hours after delivery at a post office. Also my customers believe that pre transit means that I have not put the items in the mail - and/or that they are being scammed. Anyhow this evening, May 29, the Saline post office sent the package to the Milan post office which forwarded it to the Detroit Regional Distribution Center. The first class packages showed up in Detroit on May 27 - the first time they were scanned. So its clear that Saline MI post office does not scan mail. And first class packages are given a higher priority that priority mail packages. I won't be using the Saline post office in the future. Maybe that's what they were hoping for.

I mailed a packet to my mother who lives in Saline, Michigan , after a notification of the item was delivered in her address she went to review her mail box, in the apt. building she did not find any packet on it and also the packet was not in the compartment she got the key to open, she noticed the compartment's keylock was broken, and the key could not stay set. someone stole her packet. is terrible!!! they need to get the thieve who is stealing others packets in 749 valley circle Dr. Saline Michigan. the postal police should start an investigation in this apartment facility. the zip code is 48176

Today, Good Friday MARCH 30, 2018...post office open this 6:30pm, yet yesterday and today no mail delivery resumed...I had delivered my stop mail and resume card with check deliver all held mail on March 29, 2018....nothing! I would not write this review BUT this is a recurring situation. On 1/29/2018 at post office counter, I gave a clerk hold mail form 1/31/2018 to 2/6/2018. Mail arrived 2/8/2018 AND without the paper items. When I left the counter the form got "no paper" written on it. I wanted all to be delivered and before the post person on would have done this. Something has changed in the last couple of years. I would like to compliment the counter staff, for me I find a new attitude of service and good much better interaction skills with customers this past. It is what is happening or not happening in the mail area which is deeply troubling.

I’m extremely angry that my mail has not been delivered TWICE in the last 9 days. More importantly- I had mail I needed to be PICKED UP from my home, and it wasn’t. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Saline, Michigan is not the Antarctic. Our roads are plowed. The dates were January 8 2018 and today, January 16 2018. Schools were in session both dates. If children in busses can get to school, I expect my mail to be picked up and delivered. This is my right. Can you please comment on this.

Horrible! We have now gone for two days without mail delivery. We were told we WOULD get mail today, but no such luck! Would the pony express do a better job?

Wow... I happened to stumble on this feedback page today when looking for something else. I'm surprised the feedback is so negative. I've always found our carriers to be prompt, friendly, and reliable for the most part. Occasionally we find mail for our neighbors in our box and they find ours in theirs; with a group of 16-20 boxes being filled at one stop, its bound to happen. And the folks working the post office service desk, while not always beaming with joy (its not all that exciting a job), have always been concise, to the point, while always offering best price options for anything I've gone in to ship. I think most of them are good people doing their best, and I'm sure to thank them whenever I have the opportunity, and on hot days I offer them a nice cold water bottle or a soda. What they do is tedious work. Walk a mile in their shoes, at least mentally, and be nice to them!

In September one of the carriers hit my car and took off without stopping. The police found him and he said he didn't do that. Yet, the carrier said he was there, but he "claims" he didn't hit it. The supervisor of the Saline Post Office said no way her employee did that. Police report came back with the carrier AT FAULT!! I've had one particular carrier that walks all over our lawn. I've complained several times via email, phone calls, even told the carrier in person. Today I video taped him doing it again and he claims I had a confrontation with him. I called the Saline Post Office Supervisor and told her and she told me not to video tape postal employees. I have every right too. If you can video tape an officer on a traffic stop, if you can have a security system with cameras, then I can video tape someone on my property!!! Not only am I protecting myself, but i'm also proving that he walks all over my lawn. The Supervisor didn't want to see the video. Then do something about it then!!! Can't trust USPS!!! My mail gets lost/missing, they damaged my car and now walk on my lawn.

I just got off the phone with my credit card company because I had to explain that I didn't pay my last bill because I didn't receive my statement in the mail. This is the second time this has happened in several months, and my roommate has had the exact same experience at our address a few times in the past year. So our credit card statements, containing our personal information, are winding up in other peoples' mailboxes, floating down the street, or maybe laying in a dumpster somewhere. Occasionally, we receive other peoples' mail in our box, sometimes from other units in our house, and other times belonging to people on different streets. Perhaps it's too much to ask from a mail carrier to deliver the correct mail to people. Evidently, it is not a priority of the Post Office in Saline, Michigan. I think it's a disgrace, but in our zero-accountability world, it's not surprising.

The clerks are rude and lazy. The mail is now taking over a week to deliver, sometimes 2 weeks, and that's to a po. box. The physical mailbox receives all the others mail in the complex, so we have to exchange mail all the time. They need some management changes or something or made accountable for not doing the job we pay them to do.

I cannot understand how our mail carrier fails to realize that delivering my packages at the base of a downspout near my garage is unacceptable. Soaked packages containing a $100 textbook, and hundreds of dollars of other merchandise seems acceptable. Very frustrating. I will absolutely redouble my efforts to have absolutely NOTHING shipped by USPS in the future.

Mail carrier refused to deliver mail because he claims my handicap ramp is "unsafe" . oddly enough the USP and Fedex guys have no problem with it. plus I keep getting my neighbors mail. all the neighbors get together once a week to swap mail back to their rightful owners. I asked what made it unsafe and the reply was unclear. I even asked for standards and they could not provide them. It has been OK for 16 years and approved by the building inspector.

Horrible service, when ordering packages that are delivered via 'smart post' to USPS to deliver to the house, takes days longer to arrive...only to find a slip in the mailbox indicating that they missed me and I have to go to the post office to get the delivery. They never even attempt to deliver to the house. We are often home when the mall is delivered, especially when we are expecting something to be delivered. Even met the mail man at the mailbox, he told us he didn't even bring the package with him.

Worst service ever. I won't be spending any of my money here. The desk clerk was so rude, I left in tears. She told me to go to THE UPS STORE around the corner, because I asked for a single piece of tape to secure my box. WELL. ..that is exactly what I did and I got the service I deservedand even purchased some additional items since they were so generous with their tape. Kindness is rare.

I live in Saline on Monroe Street and we do not get mail service several days of the week on a normal basis. When I register complaints nothing is done. It's hard enough to pay bills on time and then when I do my letter sit in my mailbox for days without being picked up. My outgoing mail is in my box tonight that was put in there last Saturday. Maybe if I put an article in the newspaper it would get the attention of some postmaster who obiviously does not schedule his carriers correctly.
