We have tried many times each of the last 5 years to have our mail forwarded Sept-May each year and Novi post office can’t seem to get it done. I do the correct forms and then I go online and pay the fee to get mail forwarded and still the postal service at Novi, Michigan can’t get it done. We call and no one answers the phone and when someone does answer, they give us 5 minutes and can’t get it done. Our neighbor has to get the mail and fedex the mail to us. Why year after year does this problem happen?

I checked online and it said the Novi post office opens at 8:30 I was here and I waited till 830 and there’s a lot of laughing and talking and carrying on behind a closed door I knocked on the glass at 8:35 and somebody asked somebody out there and I said yes you’re supposed of have opened at 8:30 and this was 835. What kind of business are you running? I called the phone number for the post office 248-349-3152and I was disconnected after multiple rings. This is totally unacceptable. I hate to tell you this but other people have things to do in their lives to not sitting in the post office lobby while people are behind closed door laughing and carrying on. If you open at 8:30 you open at 8:30!

I can't believe the slow service provided by Novi Post Office. I have taken items to the Sterling Heights Post Office (my old location) because they are DAYS faster is getting my items out and on their way. You have got to do better! Thank you.

The postal office location is okay. But there is a postal lady that comes to pick up our mail and she is very rude, agressive, and leaves our location without even picking up the items. This most recent incident she banged on our office door aggressively and when asked to wait a few moments she shook her head got into her truck and left. Terrible.

It is 6:30 PM and my mail was just delivered...NOT acceptable! I cannot fabricate a reason this is the norm and it is not the first time. I sincerely suggest that some improvements be made...and, it has happened before Covid19. Thank you.

Hi - I was told by Dawn at the Novi PO that I should wait up to 30 days before requesting that a missing Certified mail "return receipt" be tracked. She told me first class mail between two Detroit area Post Offices could take up to 30 days to be delivered. Very sad, if true. The details: On 1/30/20 I mailed a Certified letter at the Novi PO. I paid an additional $2.85 for a "return receipt" to prove the letter delivered. Service was great but a problem occurred re: the receipt: I used the tracking # to determine the message was delivered on 2/4/20 and waited two weeks but received no receipt. I called the Novi PO and was told by Kimbria I needed to call the Farmington Hills PO to track the receipt since that's where the delivery was made. The FH PO to me that was nonsense and told me to call Novi again. Spoke to Dawn on a frustrating second call lasting about 15 minutes. I was forced to listen through a long and unhelpful list of possible reasons for the delay (such as "may have been destroyed in a sorter") - she then suggested I continue to wait for delivery. At some point I asked to speak the the Postmaster who, of course, was not available. I had about given up when Dawn finally thought to mention I could stop in at the Novi office and they could provide me with a document showing all delivery details and the name of the person who had signed for delivery. Why I wasn't told that by Kimbria when I first called the Novi office I will probably never know, but it certainly would have saved me and a few PO employees from wasting a great deal of time.

We currently have a new mail carrier for our apartments. I am very concerned with 90 percent of our mail going to the wrong addresses. Everyday our office receives pounds of mail that are being delivered to the wrong address. Some residents are leaving the wrong mail on top of their mailbox because it keeps being delivered to the wrong address. This is a serious problem, that needs to fixed urgently. We are a very busy property and we should not have to sort out the mail that is coming into our office because your carriers are not doing a good job. This has been going on for quite some time, whoever is on this route still needs to be trained. The mail carrier before "Don" was awesome. The carriers we have now seem to not care if the correct mail is being delivered or not. We have tried to contact the office however with the wait time over an hour. We are unable to wait. Please address this issue right away. Our residents are extremely upset and so are we. If you have any questions please give us a call at 248-348-112

I was at the Novi post office yesterday. Once again there was a long line and service was very slow. It took 1/2 hour to mail a packagae. Even though I told him exactly what I wanted, he went through the various shipping options. He went to put my package in the back (because the cart was full) and came back extremely angry about words exchanged with another employee which I did not hear. He proceeded to swear twice in front of me, was huffing and puffing, blowing air in my face so I had to step aside and talked about how angry he was at this other man, how he couldn't think straight or do his work because he was so angry. I was shocked! I had to remind him where he was in the transaction. His name was Tom and he should not be working there. I will be going to another post office from now on.

On March 22, I waited 48 minutes to buy 5 sheets of stamps at the Novi PO. When I walked in at 3:00 one clerk was on duty to handle 9-12 customers. The PO operates in a densely populated area. Many of the customers speak 'English as a second language'. This requires more time for each of those customers. Finally a second clerk showed up at 3:45 and I was able to be waited on. I was buying stamps for my bike club (501c) which does not have a credit card attached to it, so I needed to pay by check. And the customer behind me had a smelly, fake "Service Dog"; the owner had no visible handicap. Bad service.

Ever since the construction and the Northville post office combining with Novi's I have stopped getting mail on a daily basis. I have lived at the same location for 20+ years and never had this problem. Even with the amounts of snow, I still expect to receive mail at least once a week, yet this is not happening. When I call, all I hear is that they are swamped. The weather has not been that bad this week.. Please get me my mail. Thank you

The Novi Postal Service has done a phenomenal job this winter in getting the mail to as many people as it can reach despite the record amounts of snow and having to utilize roads when they have not yet been plowed. I know they must have put in some long and cold hours - thanks to all of them.
