Over and over we receive notification that our package could not be delivered which is not true. For example , I was home all day today and our carrier said attempted delivery. This is not true. The carrier is not being truthful.
68 Bayberry drive…the person that delivers mail will not deliver certified mail. She claims she missed me! I am always here and was the other day when she claimed I wasn’t. I am forced to pick up at post office. This has happened multiple times and I have never filed a complaint before but this has happened too many times before!
I had a package left on my steps in the rain yesterday. The deliverer put a bag over the package instead of inside the bag and consequently the box got wet and is now ruined. This was a gift, so it is distressing that now I have a ruined box.
This is the third time this month I have had to drive 35 minutes to post office to pick up packages my carrier “FORGOT “ to deliver!!!!!!
When I call the office no one answers the phone! Good thing rates keep going up to help pay for this horrible service
Your carrier on Saturday was suppose to deliver my Medication from the VA, BUT, stated HE HAD NO ACCESS TO MY MAILBOX WHICH IS A LIE. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANYTHING IN THE WAY OR BLOCKING THE MAILBOX. THIS CARRIER IS LYING AND SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!!
I'll start with a yes if filed a complaint. That said as of late mail delivery as been poor at best. I am getting mail for neighbors and on occasion people outside of Cumberland. Today I received a card from my father for my birthday. Sparing the details the card, which I observed my new carrier deposit into my box had been cut open with a razor knife. The contents were removed leaving the card. Its the contents sentimental value that is the issue not the actual value. The contents were a tradition my father and I have kept for upwards of 30 years. I, being a police officer intend to dig a little deeper into my new carrier as the issues with the mail started at the same time. I have no expectation of my gift returning to me but hopes that I prevent similar issues with others.
I have not seen any mail delivered at my address for days? I'm not sure if it's because the town is repairing the manhole cover in front of my driveway, about 10' from my mailbox? I have a very wide driveway making it possible to stop and get out to deliver or even drive between the repair and mailbox. It's how I leave my driveway. Can someone look into this? Thank you. Been waiting for important documents mailed from Portland last week.
Our mail person did not show up at all today. I called the Yarmouth Post Office and they said they didn't know what the carrier did with our mail. He was already done for the day. He said it "was a light mail day." I said "we had outgoing mail, so he needs to come in anyway. I will be sure to tell him that when he comes in again." The person on the phone said "okay," and that was it. No real explanation as to where our mail is or why he did not come in to get our outgoing mail. I don't think this is the way the USPS should react when a customer doesn't get their mail and their outgoing mail is still sitting there waiting for them to pick it up.
This post office couldn't find a zip code for my address, a main thoroughfare in a prominent Midtown city. Needs to make sure it has a zip code book and how to use it.
If you are looking for quick service, head to a different post office. One third of the available postal windows are open by an employee, leaving long lines. over the course of a couple weeks of making trips to this po at various times during the day, long lines were present the majority of the time. Employees are slow to answer the buzzer, requesting assistance from other clerks. This saturday(12/21) they even ran out of stamps before 11am. Isn't one of the most common things to purchase at a po, stamps? I've waited in line for at least 30 minutes at least twice in 2-3 weeks of 2-3 trips per week. Would be nice if the post office respected other peoples time more. though everybody is always pleasant and helpful, there's no sense of urgency to get people in and out and back to the rest of their day.
