(February 2023) My children's grandmother sent two Valentine's Card with $20 cash in each card. I received an email "USPS Informed Delivery" with two snapshots of both cards. It never arrived at my address. I submitted "Report missing mail" twice. They never find it at all. I noticed the RING videotaped the mail truck stopped to my mailbox. I checked the mailbox and there is NO MAIL in my mailbox!! I came to Post Office and the male clerk seems slow and in good mood & summoned supervisor to speak with me. I explained about missing cards to her, and she recommended me to fill out "Missing Mail" I told her, I already did. I showed a video (The RING) that driver stopped by my mailbox and received no mail. She said there's nothing they can do about it. I waited for the response from "Missing Mail" and received no response. They give no compassion for my children's missing $40. I explained to my friend who works at post office in Midwest. He said "NEVER SEND CASH OR GIFT CARD" in the mail. He showed me a pile of Ziplock of unclaimed cash, gift cards. Seriously, why can't they reach out to me to take a look at a pile of unclaimed Ziplock. No compassion, no understanding of my frustration. My children received NO Valentine's Day cards from their grandparents.

Huntingtown post office is the worst post office that I have ever used. They damaged my package by bending it in half and forced it into my mailbox. It was a rigid package reinforced with 2 pieces of cardboard. Anyone with common sense would know not to bend it in half. The post office said that they are not responsible for damage caused by their employees and that I should have paid for insurance. I don’t feel like I should have to pay to protect my package from their negligent employees. I will be looking into other options for mailing my packages.

I get so frustrated with this post office! Every time we get certified mail, they put it in the mailbox indicating to the sender that the recipient received it. When in fact they did not as they do not live here! My daughter and his daughter both were sent certified letters from different court houses. The postal carrier took off the green card and left them in the mailbox! So, it’s now on us to try to find our daughters so they won’t get arrested for Failure to Appear! I try calling and they keep hanging up on me! I wish the people that used to work there were still here, at least they knew how to read

This Post Office has a history of saying things have been delivered when they have not. “Has been delivered” seems to mean things have arrived at the Huntingtown Post Office and you’ll get them in the next few days. This morning a package arrived from England, it had been opened and the contents were missing.

Still “delivering” items that don’t arrive—but the problem goes beyond the Huntingtown post office. Today I received word that a package addressed to me in Huntingtown had been forwarded by the USPS sorting center in Capitol Heights to an address in Virginia and had now been returned to sender. Thank God for FedEx.

The Huntingtown, Maryland Post Office does a terrible job of getting mail in boxes in a timely fashion. They also have a terrible history of missing mail and packages. I hate to accuse anyone of stealing but this location seriously needs to be investigated. Also the associates and manager are never helpful and can be very rude.

Not very good. We have had a change this past year with the delivery personnel. I am now missing ANOTHER package that shows delivered and had to track down the owners of OTHER packages that have been left at my residence. I am still missing one package. I was giving the new mail carrier the benefit of the doubt because it's a new neighborhood but I can't anymore.

We moved into the Huntingtown Postal area in spring of 2015. Unfortunately, we have had nothing but issues. On Mar 12th I placed a specialized order for invitations for my daughter's birthday party on Apr 26th. By Apr 15th when I had not received them, I contacted the seller. She sent them out to me on Mar 13th. After doing research on her end the post office said they delivered them. I never received those invitations. My mother has had to cancel 2 birthday checks we never received. My son had a birthday on 8 August. My mother sent the check out on July 27th. My mother was about to cancel a third check, when last night August 21st the card was in our mailbox. I have had 6 packages that when I track them it says they have been delivered. 1 I've never received, 3 were delivered within a week after the tracker said it was delivered, 1 arrived in pieces, shattered, and the last one arrived almost 3 weeks after the tracker said it was delivered. My husband and I were in the military and lived all over the US and the world. We have never had as many issues with all of those locations combined including some overseas locations. I don't know what the Huntingtown Post Office issue is, but they've cost me lots of money, unhappy birthday children, bills not received etc... They need some serious training and oversight. This is a serious issue. It's a federal law not to mess with a person's mail, I guess, unless you are the Huntingtown Post Office.

Not Happy Huntingtown P.O. 20639 UPS in Waldorf decided to have USPS deliver a package they were paid to deliver. USPS in Huntingtown said they tried to deliver it on 8/8 and left a delivery notice with instructions. NO DELIVERY NOTICE WITH INSTRUCTIONS WAS LEFT! I called the P.O. at 3:30 PM and was told to hold on (IGNORE), 15 min. later I hung up. At 4:00 PM I called back and was told to hold on (IGNORE), 20 Min Later I hung up. On your tracking site it said they delivery would be on 8/9 before 8PM. I stayed home all day, NO DELIVERY! NO NOTICE! On 8/10 I went to the Huntingtown P.O. And asked to speak with the Post Master. I was told the Post Master was on vacation, when I asked of the return date I was told I don’t know, 1 or 2 weeks not sure. The man at the counter took my paper work went into the back and got my book. The book you were paid to deliver to me. While the Cat is away the Mice will play? Or is this the way your P.O operates all the time? This is not the first time something like this has happened. 2 or 3 weeks ago same type of a problem with a box of Cigars.

We recently moved to Huntingtown from Chesapeake Beach and boy did the mail service take a plunge in quality. We're at the end of the route (end of the day) and our mail carrier routinely leaves boxes outside against the garage door where it can be rained on. She also crumples up our mail to stuff it in the mailbox around packages that barely fit. Huntingtown could take some lessons from Chesapeake Beach on service.

I live right off Emmanuel Church Road. I do not know the names of the 2 people who deliver our mail, but I just want to say that they do a great job. They are always friendly and say hi. When I have a package that will not fit in the mailbox, they will bring it to the door along with the rest of the mail. I want to make sure that they know they are appreciated.
