I had also called to make a passport appointment at the Derwood Post Office. The receptionist that took my call was nice at first but then quickly became impatient with me after asking a question about appointment dates. After we scheduled the appointment, she abruptly hung up before I could ask more questions. Customer service could be better.

I called to make a passport appointment at the Derwood Post Office and spoke with a representative named Tammy, she was completely rude over the phone. Even after remaining calm on the phone, she continued to have a bad attitude on the phone. I advised her not to speak to customers the way she did with me. We were going over dates of available appointments and our phone line was not so clear, I told her "I'm sorry, can you repeat that again" and then said once again "I'm sorry, can you say that again, I'm having a hard time hearing you" and as she was repeating herself she got into an awful attitude about it, started speaking to me in a loud, angry, exaggerated voice. Once I told her to not speak to me that way, she yelled, "do you want the appointment or not" and I said "yes, but you shouldn't be speaking to me that way". She then asked for my information, we had originally selected an earlier appointment date with an afternoon time before she became angry, once I told her the appointment was for 3 people she moved my appointment far ahead and to only having morning appointments. I politely told her that's fine because we really need to get our passports and thanked her. She then hung up the phone without saying anything, not even a good bye. This is the worst customer service experience I have received over the phone, it escalated so quickly for no apparent good reason and we only were on the phone for 2-3 minutes, it clear she does not have patience with people and should not be working in customer service. I highly recommend she gets retrained because this is not the way she should treat or speak to people.
